Dr Nguyen is a very compassionate and knowledgeable doctor, who goes above and beyond for the care of his furry friends!
Today was our very first visit with Dr Nguyen at this amazing hospital, the entire staff was very friendly and totally loving on our golden doodle, Bentley! For the very first time , our boy was completely chill and generally happy to be around a veterinarian/ hospital setting. lol
The doctor took his time to explain everything to us in detail and we never felt rushed ….
Their prices too are very reasonable…

“The rescue I foster dogs through needed a good value spay/neuter clinic so that we could stay within budget for our rescue dogs. This place was perfect for it! The pricing is very straightforward, drop-off and pick-up are well organized, and the staff were very nice despite the high volume. My current foster dog healed up very nicely without any issues and the sutures looked professionally done. We will absolutely bring future foster dogs here!”

“My family has been bringing our pets to River Oak for 20+ years. Dr. Shaner and staff went out of their way to save our dog, Pearl, when she was hit by a car as a pup. They performed extensive surgeries including grafting of skin to save her life. She has passed but her portrait is beautifully displayed in their office as is our cat, Moo. Since than we have had the our pets in the care of Dr. Chatfield, and Dr. Drew. Dr. Chatfield went above and beyond when my puppy Cody had ear issues. With her care, knowledge and guidance, he was able to overcome and did not require surgery. Most recently they went out of their way to get my Bailey in to confirm if she may have a problematic pregnancy in an emergency. I cannot begin to tell you how grateful we are that we have River Oak Veterinary to care for our loved ones in the most dire times. Despite the changes in vet staffing, the level of care has never faltered and I whole heartedly will continue to recommend and celebrate the entire staff of River Oak.”

“oh my gosh this place is amazing! love them- they are all friendly and have great service. their prices are much cheaper than all the other vets I have been to. my cat is 20 plus years old and can't see or hear much anymore. she was having first stages of kidney disease and was put on special food and pills and I am happy to say living a great life once again. I have switched vet offices as I was going to 3 different ones and I drive from Stockton just because they are the best. they have many vets working there so it's not as hard to get an appointment.”

“I’ve been seeing Dr. Mike and Dr. Chad for many years. You cannot find better doctors in the area. There are so many reasons why I’m giving them this rating. The staff is wonderful, communications are excellent, they do what they say they are going to do, and you don’t wait for hours and hours to see them. You won’t find better fees. I would almost keep this rating to myself so that I can get appointments without competing with you. However, they are just so good that they deserve a 10 out of 5. The Dr. was extremely explanatory in options and continued care. For this reason, I will be taking him back for an ear issue he's continued to have that the seemingly "top clinic" in Escalon couldn't seem to get a handle on.”

“Been going here since early days of opening with Dr Basra and continued on with the changing of the guard after he sold. I trust them with my dogs. I have had 4 dogs go here. We have always had great care. I never feel like they are recommending cost that is not necessary. In fact, I have been told many times “we could do all these tests and charge you alot of money but I would rather try this first”. Josie and Remi’s mom recommends. ??”

That being said, the entire staff was beyond empathetic, understanding, making what I was thinking would be my dogs last day. Thankfully he slowly came out of it and has made almost a full recovery.
