A few weeks ago, (Saturday, 1/26, I believe), I went to take a carload, stuffed with aluminum cans, plastic bottles and glass bottles. George was working alone that day and seemed stressed out. I believe he was late opening that day as he has done sometimes in the past. I try to say as little as possible to him, as I find his manner to be unpleasant and dictatorial. He knows that I am working disabled and do this to make ends meet. He tells me not to pile the glass so high in the cans because he has a bad back and I see that he is limping. He tells me not to come on Monday's, Friday's or the week-ends, as it's too busy on those days. I live 40- 45 minutes away, (depending on traffic), in Pacific Grove and do not appreciate this abuse. For that, I can get that abuse and bad service at another of your competitors that works behind a gas station in another part of town. I have dealt with Eric once, but mostly with Marco. Both of these workers have displayed exemplary customer service with a smile. Whereas, George acts like he's doing me a favor and doesn't want to be there. It's funny, in the past I had written good things about George, but since then, his demeanor has soured. I would like to continue to come here at any day I choose, I do feel that in addition to George, there does need to be a better system to handle large volumes of glass. Maybe alert the people to haul away the recyclables in the compactor before it gets too full and you have to send people away. I vote for "Power of the People" over the Waste Management Companies anytime.

Just like with all the replanet centers we have been to in this area, they do not stick to their posted hours. We drive all the way out here and they tell us they MIGHT open back up after lunch. This is supposed to be a service for our environment. By making it so inconvenient, the company is discouraging recycling. If California is not going to offer reliable, viable options for recycling, the crv should be taken off the price of products.

First off, the staff is really friendly. They're the only reason I didn't give this review one star. Unfortunately, they never have any staff available. I've gone 3 times this week during business hours. Twice they were completely shut down. There was no one there and machines were not working. Then today I went on my lunch break, only to be told that they were closed for the day at 1pm because they were too short staffed. That is ridiculously unacceptable. Now I'll have to wait and hope my 4th trip will actually be rewarding. UPDATE: 4th time coming here THIS WEEK and there was NO ONE HERE. This is absolutely shameful. Of course, it's not the employees fault that there is no one to cover shifts. But shame on their employers! At least put up signs! This establishment deserves the deduction I've given. I've probably wasted more money in gas than my bottles are even worth at this point. If you even have a chance at recycling your bottles, you'll have to try the morning shift. But since most of us work long hours, the lunch hour and weekends are all the time we've got. At least fill those shift slots, RePlanet.

There are a lot better places to go in all honesty. The guys at this place are not friendly and personally, would avoid going there at all! They are extremely anal about anything you take there, and if it is in the slightest; possibly not CRV or whatever they will only give you the lowest price allowed, which is pretty crappy if its just one item. Don't go here. I recommend AMD Recycling for fair prices and much faster service.

This place is not so appealing and I would say clean. But the guy who works there name George made me give a review because I of his hard work and because of good customer service satisfaction. I was greeted nicely and politely when I came. I felt very welcome in which I wasn't expecting. This is why I'm giving a good review. He's very accommodating and I feel very welcome and was happy. In spite of the "recycling odor" he is still able to do a very good job! I'll will be coming back to this place! MANAGEMENT SUGGESTIONS: 1) The place should at least have an exhaust inside to get a nice airflow. 2) A bench for customers who are waiting would be nice. 3) Hand Sanitizer for customers 4) Cheap paper towel

The guys operating the booth are always friendly & professional, all things considered. When they get busy, workers can get a bit curt, but I wouldn't say rude. Prices are standard, and occassionally you can find a coupon on the website offering a slightly higher price. What I don't like is the fact that it appears the "24-hour self-service" is completely bogus. I have tried many times, at varying hours & days, to drop off bottles or cans using their self-service slots. They (usually) work fine during operating hours, but not once have they worked after hours. Since they are only open until 4:30 or so during the week, and closed Sundays/Mondays, it can make it difficult to bring items in.
