I have experienced more than a half-dozen internet providers, and Conifer is by far the best. Prices are good, customer support always calls back, and even when the network is down, I get periodic updates. They are a real blessing to Calaveras residents. Thanks for all the hard work!

When we first moved to Tuolumne in 1992 we enjoyed the Service of Motherlode Internet. Wireless was not available! They did a great job to bring us dial up. Cable is still not available, even though though the line crosses our property. Thank you ATT. Wireless came on the scene. Our provider was Sonnet. Very expensive and unreliable. Mother Lode Internet then got a tower and we switched. We were happy with the service provided. We had email and wireless. Then Cal.Net merged with Motherlode Internet. Down hill from there. Customer servicefrom Cal.net gets a grade of D-. I tired of waiting on hold to talk with a technician. Our service was inconsistent. We went 6 months with intermittent service. After many calls and buying a new router (which was not necessary) Cal.net finally admitted that they needed to update our receiver and the equipment on their tower. Ok, I gave them a chance. I am a loyal customer to a point. I tracked our upload and download speeds for a month. The average was signIficantly less than what was contracted. The streaming was awful. I cut bait and moved to Conifer. The improvement was immediate. Great customer service. No prolonged wait time. Professional and customer centric. Thank you Jake and Jessie for setting us up. Conifers web page is another example of how they outshine the competition. Informative and easy to navigate. Bottom line......Great job Conifer. Without reservation the best wireless service in the area..

I have been an avid supporter of Conifer Communications for a long time. I have watched it grow and expand from Tuolumne County to Calaveras County. I kept tabs as the new office opened in San Andreas, and celebrated with the company as they continued to get community support. I grew up in Groveland/Big Oak Flat and went to the local Elementary and High Schools. I was class of 2000. I was just like any of you growing up here. I played sports, worked at the local Market when it was "Ken's", and run by my family. I was a classmate and friends with a few of the people that work for and started Conifer, having over 20 years of off and on contact with them personally. I personally have an IT background, and so anything IT naturally is of interest to me. I supported Conifer from afar while I lived away from California for over 18 years. I finally moved back a little over a year ago, and reestablished myself back in our little hometown, and knew right away, that this was the company I was going to choose for my internet provider. Why am I glad we did? First and foremost, the personal connection and the neighborly smile we get with the customer service. Knowing some of the staff was a nice perk, but the way we were always treated with respect was a great feeling. Any concerns were addressed promptly, and we were rarely if ever without internet, and if we were it was brief. Another reason we chose Conifer, was because they work hard. When they did our install, they were fast, friendly, efficient, but hard working. They made sure it was done right, and did what was needed to ensure we got the best possible signal knowing we were in a tough spot. We knew it wasn't guaranteed, but they did what they could and then they found the magic sweet spot and we got service. Finally, we chose Conifer because they are real people like us. They are from the same towns, they are familiar, and when you call/email/FB/etc. you get a real person. I can't tell you how tired I am of talking to an AI or program trying to press buttons on a phone or device, to try to get a real person. Sometimes things happen, and Conifer listens. They understand, and they work with you. After a year of having their services, I joined their team. Yes, Now I am part of Conifer too. So now I am literally seeing things from both sides. I see the installs, I see the tower work at late hours, in all weather conditions. I see the friendly faces of some of you that come into the offices or hear your voices on the phones. I recognize some of your names, and my heart smiles. I see that Conifer stands by their promise.

Up here in the mountains there are lots of things we have to work harder to get, or pay a bit more for; it's just the way of a rural lifestyle (our rent is cheaper though! Haha!)... Things that folks from more populated areas often take for granted are things we have to give serious consideration to: cell signal, getting groceries, finding a hot meal after 8pm, and absolutely- internet service! I love the fact that we even have a local, family owned business to turn to for internet! I appreciate talking to a real person when I call! And the service is vastly superior to satellite internet!!

I can not tell you how pleased we are with your company. From the start to the on going communications. Our service or lack of was provided by a very large national company. There were problems from very start within this company we switched plans four time and we were never satisfied.

If you live in the gold country area, I cannot recommend Conifer Communications enough! I used a different company and had horrible service. I can't tell you how many times I had to go to Starbucks or the Library to work because I couldn't get a fast enough connection to do updates on my computer or even work on emails let alone watching a video. Then I met Sonja and she offered to let me see if Conifer could improve my connection. They could. Cody & Josh installed a new dish and spent time doing some re-wiring for me. They were incredibly respectful and trustworthy. Very impressed. And now, I'm incredibly happy with having very fast internet. I went from dial-up slow to lightning fast and they are super affordable! If you are considering getting a new internet service [or even if you aren't] call Conifer Communications!
