We brought Gawain a Galen Rowell dye transfer print which had foxing in a few locations. Dye transfer is a photographic method long ago retired, but Gawain and his team repaired this rare print back to original condition. Great work.

A fantastic service. You immediately know walking in the front door that you are in a top level professional organization. Gawain took 50 year old moldy 35mm b&w contact sheets (!) and brought them up to sufficient quality for publication in a national magazine. I have brought in other work as well, always with the same perfect outcomes. And in the discussions with Gawain, I learned about both technical and aesthetic issues; he was always available to spend as much time I wanted.

Did a great job restoring several old family photographs. Really nice, easy to talk to, and amazing results. Gawain and his staff are knowledgeable and professional, but also totally friendly and helpful (i.e. not snobby like some photo professionals tend to be). Thanks you guys!

Gawain is incredibly knowledgeable about photographic conservation / preservation and did an amazing job restoring an heirloom photograph in heavy disrepair. I highly recommend him to anyone with a photograph (or photographic collection) in need of professional care. Plus he's super nice!

I am an antique dealer in Lafayette California and met Gawain at a photography show. We talked about a Carleton Watkins photograph that I had that needed restoration. After hearing of Gawain's considerable knowledge and training I decided to give the 1863 photograph to him to conserve and restore. When Gawain returned the photograph I was amazed and delighted with the results. He had taken out deep stains and brightened the image to museum quality! Also dealing with Gawain was a pleasure. He is professional and kept me informed of the progress while the restoration was being completed...and as the expression goes, "He's a nice guy too".
