I purchased a couple of hot items right after the kitchen had closed, at 50% off. I know they were on sale, but the quality was so poor, I was afraid I would be sick from undercooked food. I tried to bring the items back, even just for store credit, but they would not give me a refund, even with the receipt in hand. I used to eat food prepared in their kitchen all the time, but the quality keeps sinking lower and lower.

This safeways customer service is a wreck. It's like highschool spats and abuse at the registers. If you have a need or real Complaints. Much of the staff and management is abusive. immature and in cahoots. They do not support the paying customers who have spent thousands and thousands with respect nor do they reprimand their workers on the floor or upper management.

A few days ago there was a homeless man in the deli department of Safeway San Anselmo that came up to me and my young kids (about three feet away), he pointed at my kids, stared at me and then started yelling at the top of his lungs swinging his hands like he was chopping wood. I ran (my kids in a shopping cart) checked out with the cashier and I don't think I will ever go back to this store.

horrible. i saw roaches crawling on the produce, a dead fly in the mac and cheese in the deli. this place needs to be sanitized, ASAP. someone help these poor kids trying to get lunch for school!! this place has to be shut down! horrible customer service, rude employees everywhere!! GIVE THIS PLACE 0 STARS

We shop at this Safeway quite often and through the years we have always had great service from Mac - who works in the liquor dept. He is helpful, friendly and has always been willing to help us when we are purchasing wine. Thanks Mac! We appreciate you!!!

Attempted to use their delivery service. They did not arrive when they were supposed to (after 5 text messages re delivery lateness). Driver did not follow instructions, rang bell and ran over the orange cone placed in the driveway for a reason. Yelled at me when I asked him to back down the driveway per instructions (no room to turn around, hence the cone), not worth the time and effort.

Love this store and I would love to say that all the people that work there are amazing and that I would drive as far as I have to to shop at that store....I have noticed a change in management there.....it seems like ever time I go in there there a couple of things that I have been looking for and are out but over all the store has everything I need....I just want to also as that they have the friendly staff there....from the front end manager to the store manager....it is a great store to shop for a small community....

Was in a rush to get some balloons for my neighbors daughters birthday, when I got to the flower dept. on Thursday morning was met by Lisa. A breath of fresh air, no Marin attitude! She filled my order fast, efficient and we had a nice conversation. I will spread the word when flowers or balloons are needed/wanted. Thank you! Great Job!

I was in this safeway one time with my service dog in training and people bring their dogs in all the time! Its frustrating because I go to tell a manager that its a health code violation and what do they do? Yell at me and cause me to have an episode! One specific woman im sure you know who im talking about she has short hair (blond) 5"4 extremely grouchy and rude all the time told me "im not going to argue with you about it" i left the store hyperventilating and my service dog alerted me to an extreme episode which did happen. This is absolutely ridiculous! Have her fired she is always mean too been here my whole life and she still works here even when i applied she had some racist things to say as well!

A few days ago on Friday night my husband & I went shopping late around 8:30p.m., the store was quite busy. The young lady who waited on us was so kind and treated every customer like they were the only customer. To the Managers you need to hire more employees who really care about their customers! Fast, efficient, and caring!

Safeway never ceases to fail me. They're either put of what I need or no one will help. Today I went to the Starbucks on my 10 minute break. Just one employee, whose fault this isn't, and one super annoying customer at Starbucks, paying for all her groceries there while I waited. Then she ordered drinks. Ten minutes later, my break was wasted and over. It's a coffee bar. It should be for coffee. Paying for groceries there isn't okay and you lost a customer. It's Peet's from now on.

There are some great people who work here and some really rude and obviously unhappy people working here as well. We have been coming here for many years , sometimes 4 times a week. Never had any confrontations or bad experiences that would warrant it yet some of the clerks at self checkout have been very rude and angry with us. We are nice , polite people so we don't understand why they are this way to us and others we've seen. Well .... we do have a theory. Our theory is this- Safeway is a huge corporation. Corps only care about making $ and not about how they treat their employees. So they treat employees badly and they in turn take it out on on the customers. I've seen employees yell and bully other employees right in front of others. That's very unprofessional. I don't know if they were managers, but in my day, if your boss had a problem with you, you were called into a private office and talked to POLITELY about the situation. I've cringed when I see certain clerks berating the sweet guys who sweep the floors, collect the carts, clean up spills. No one needs to be talked to like that. We always witness this happening every time we shop there. We can't take it anymore.

This is the first time I've ever given a business a bad review! This is the absolute worst grocery store with truly incompetent employees. They are completely disorganized and rude and I'm used to north-easterners. I was waiting in line with just a few items and told to get behind a woman with a huge buggy full Of stuff. I left. I won't shop here again.
