If I could give them a negative Star, I would as a rating. My daughter and I visited the store on December 10, 2023. I bought two cheap lipsticks and a cheap little comb. According to the dummy receipt she gave me each was $2.99. The receipt she gave me did not have any identifying information on it. No Company name nothing but I never looked at it so I didn’t know that until checking my bank account realized The lady owner charged my debit card $97.59. When the receipt she gave me clearly says $9.75 . In addition to that the $9.75 charge did not go through my bank. What did it go through my bank was a charge of $97.59 so it appears that after she gave me that dummy receipt she entered a different amount that went through to the bank and charged my debit card $97.59 Goodus Beauty Supply stole from me . According to reviews listed here, they have also overcharged others. I will definitely be reporting them to every entity I can think of Including social media, news, outlets, BBB, the FTC and anybody else I can think of Here are the three items I purchased and the receipt she gave meUPDATEAfter submitting my review, the owner of Goodus Beauty Supply requested I come in to the shop in person so that the situation can be rectified. I went into the establishment on December 23, 2023 and met with the son of the owner Who rang up my items on December 10, 2023 and overcharged me. It started off cordial. He began explaining that it was a mistake. We all make mistakes, and I agreed we all do make mistakes. What I didn’t agree with was that from my perspective it did not look like a mistake, because I was given a receipt that said, one thing $9.75 and that receipt did not go through to my bank the fraudulent or erroneous amount that I was charged $97.59 did go through my bank and charged my bank card so it looked intentional to me. He told me he would give me my money back if I took down my post. I responded by informing him that I would not be coerced into taking down something that actually happened to me to get my money back that I would just go through the bank . He proceeded to tell me that he has been in business for 40 years, and he’s not here to nickel and dime people to death, and it would’ve been preferable that I had come into the store before posting the review. He began yelling at me and at his mother it was then determined that he would give me back my money without me having to take down my original post that took nearly 30 minutes to get to that point he also told me to not come back in his store anymore because I won’t take down the post. The meeting with him was very contentious. It was unnerving. It was uncalled for his attitude, demanding that I take down, my post to get my money back felt like a bribe to me and his angry demeanor are enough to keep me from going back there. His mother Joy was very calm. She explained to him that I am a long time customer, that she never had a problem out of me, that I’m quiet and never bothered her. She asked him to return the money. He said he was thinking about it because I won’t take down the post. Eventually he did return the money telling me don’t come back because I wouldn’t take the post down but then turned around and said it’ll take one or two days for the money to post and if it doesn’t post, come back SMHUPDATE ON THE UPDATEAs of January 2, 2024, I still have not received that money backLATEST UPGRADEThe $97.59 was finally restored to my account.

This is an update to my most recent post regarding being overcharged. I was charged $9.75 for 3 items ( 2 lipsticks and an edge comb) which was reflected on the receipt given to me. The receipt had no identifying information, the name of the store was not on the receipt. A few days later, I checked my account and realized that Goodus Beauty Supply charged my debit card $97.59 which prompted me to write my most recent review. The owner saw the review and asked if I could come back into the store so the matter can be rectified. I was asked to bring the receipt and my bank statement. The owners’ son was there he’s the one that I spoke with in hopes of rectifying this situation. He admitted his mother made a mistake entering my total of $9.75 into the credit card machine. She entered $97.59 but that is not the receipt I was given I was given a receipt for $9.75 yet the $97.59 amount went through to my bank not the $9.75. The son explained they have two different machines so why wasn’t I given the receipt from the credit/ debit card machine?Initially, he told me that he would refund my money if I take down the post . When I refused, he became angry and started yelling at me and his mother. Almost 30 minutes later, he eventually refunded the money and said it takes a day or two before it will show up in my account so I will keep you all posted. He also told me don’t come back to his store, which I’m OK with. All I did was post a review about what happened to me and because I wouldn’t take it down, he told me that I am not to come back to his store but at the same time said if the money doesn’t post to come back.

Unfortunately they are most covenant to my place of residence.. But they are very cluttered With merchandise and sometimes the stereotype and think your stealing. They even go as far as locking the entrance door if its one too many people inside at once..

I went here on Monday and l go here sometimes to buy hair products, But honestly they follow you around in this store to much,Where half of the time you can't think straight on what you are trying to buy,Because someone is right at your side,News flash every black person doesn't steal we do have job's as well...l think this probably will be the last time that I visit this store..l just felt uncomfortable not just this time but in the past as well, because this beauty supply store is close to Redlands...

I always come buy from this lady and I always put up with her and her husband ugly attitude. I bought some eyelashes from here a day ago and Joy gave me the wrong ones. I just wanted to exchange them for the ones I wanted as she let me before a while ago and she told me “no not this time we can’t exchange” and I can’t even get my money back for something I don’t want. I’m never coming here again and I’ve been coming here since a child . Last time I’ll be spending my money here . Just rude and and not helpful she just sits on here phone watching shows instead of working!

It's okay. They have lots of hair and products. They used to follow you around the store which was annoying. I think they have invested in high quality cameras so they don't follow you around, you can shop comfortably now. The atmosphere is a bit cluttered, the lighting is dim. But not bad!! A solid 3 for me.
