Went and a worker who claimed he’s a “ manager” black guy with glasses started threatening us and saying the N word to us and said he called the cops when we had to call the cops ourselves, this was all due to us asking why the unexpected charges on a rental and they took payment without authorization. Asked for his name and he just kept saying manager and to get off his property. Never in my life ! The ghetto !

I had a bad rental experience with Hertz in San Bernardino. Despite reserving a van over a month in advance, it was not available upon arrival. Also, I received a phone call informing me of this just 15 minutes before my reservation time. This lack of communication and unavailability caused unnecessary stress. I'm dissatisfied with the service provided, which reflects poorly on their management. While I intend to continue doing business with Hertz, I'll avoid their San Bernardino location in the future. Additionally, I'll make a point to call two days ahead of my reservations to ensure vehicle availability

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this service provider. Despite arriving at the location four minutes before they opened, it took over an hour for me to get a car. This was especially frustrating because I even had to make a reservation at the location online for 8:30 to ensure a timely pick-up, but I still wasn't able to get a car soon after paying. To make matters worse, a person who appeared to be in charge dismissed my 8:30 appointment and insisted that I wait because there were other customers with appointments. The lack of assistance from the person giving orders in the back room only added to the poor service. It is evident that this place needs to improve their time management skills and hire more staff to better serve their customers.

I always hope that the world will be finally proven wrong about the stereotypes that exist in regards to customer service in the city of San Bernardino, but unfortunately this was NOT one of those times. Had a trip planned for my girlfriend & I for her birthday tomorrow. Got everything ready, a hotel, tickets for the show for one of her favorite artists up in San Francisco. I even pushed back a flight for work two days so we could go, I literally immediately have to come back Thursday morning and fly out to PA by the afternoon. The last part of the trip was locking down the rental and something to save gas because the trip was so expensive already. I had it all booked, these dbags call me about 45 min before I have to pick up the car, right before closing at 5 and tell me they got no EV. I say screw it I go anyway hoping that they will have something compact but no they don’t, Malibu’s and suburbans. And as I’m looking around the lot the dude has the audacity to ask me what I’m looking at because the cars I see out there aren’t for me.. I have no attitude and hertz screws me and this guy has the audacity to give me an attitude. At this point I say, this is what reservations are for so we avoid this and he says “well things happen.” With attitude again, there was words in between where he was rude but as you see I’ve written a lot. I left before something worse happened because I am furious. I’m never using Hertz again.

I booked online from the car dealership and when I showed up I was told that I had to have had a reservation for more than 24 hours if using a debit card. Despite explaining that I was coming from a car dealership I was told that there was nothing they could do. Manager Damon Bryant was at the store but not “available” to resolve the situation. This 24 hour reservation is not the policy at any other car rental place I have been to. It was not included in any of the language I saw in my online reservation. There were other customers in the lobby upset that there were no cars available that matched their reservation as well. Shoddy customer service like this is why businesses in San Bernardino have such bad reputations. I can promise that Hertz, especially this location, will never get a dime of my money.

Good experience according to the staff present.With Damon, everything was perfect and fast.A little wait for Check in and Check out but nothing bad.I will book with them again when I am in the area.

The manager was ignorant and rude.He made excuses for his staff of unprofessional shady characters who are not forthcoming with the basic information and fees. Worst customer service ever!!Accompanying the shadiness was a lack luster care for their customers as they would be in the middle of a customer and walk away for 20 minutes while they converse personally and waste the five people in lines time. The manager was sarcastic and dismissive. He was extremely rude. This place is horrible and if I could give them negative stars I would!!!!They made a lady that had been waiting there for four hours cry she drove two hours to get a suv she was promised and then they didn’t have it available which means they didn’t properly manage their inventory. Not surprised . She left with no car in tears.Shameful!!

Day one was cool. When returning vehicle staff simply wasn't available. You're not even making phone calls, it became an obstacle. My first experience so 3 star is being generous.

We had an insurance claim. Our vehicle was in the shop for about 10 days. The car was very clean. It was Toyota Mini Van . Still smelled new. Had all the extras. I really enjoyed driving it. They drive me to the shop once my car was ready. Would use them again.
