This isn't the closest Staters to my house, but I don't mind going the extra 5 minutes to this location. Reason being it has a full bakery and deli (sushi bar too I believe) The one by my house (on Highland ave and del Rosa) has no birthday cakes, the bakery section is only boxed cookies and muffins and stuff. And it's pulling teeth to get anyone to make you a sandwich there. This location the customer service is always great, quick and friendly. I'll keep shopping here!

Come here all the time to buy our groceries, all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Especially Teresa in the deli section, she's always so sweet! We usually like to order a family sized sub and she makes it the best hands down.

Uh, I would avoid this place unless you want jumped by the workers. You can get a concussion to go along with with your canned goods. They will literally throw you in the closet and stomp you.

STAY AWAY from this store unless you want to be harassed and JUMPED by the store manager and workers! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING workers here, witnessed a man asking a simple question and got the manager in his face then later thrown in a closet and beat up. The cashiers were laughing, they walked off like nothing. They're obviously very comfortable harassing people and getting away with it. I hope the videos get attention! Do better stater bros with hiring decent humans not garbage.

I was just completely harassed and followed out of the store by the store manager, I'm guessing he was as he was wearing a white shirt and black slacks. The security guard was even telling him to back off of me. This was all over my 5 pound Yorky puppy that I had in my purse. My Yorky is also a service support animal. The manager followed me outside of the store and then told my husband that he was going to call the police. He told me he was not going to allow us to buy our food as he can refuse service to anyone he wants to. I shop at this store daily and take my puppy in with me every time I shop there. The store employees know my puppy by name. This was the absolute most absurd harassment and completely out of line and unnecessary. I have been shopping at this store for over 10 years. It's disheartening that someone chooses to battle over a puppy considering how much is going on in the world right now.

Decided to stop by the 40th street stater bro's on my way home from work today. I had an encounter with managers Christina H and Summer K. I was looking for a product and they were more than happy to help me find the item I was looking for. They set a great example for other employees at that store and showed me outstanding customer service. I will be shopping at this store again after the service I received from these two. The shelves were full and the store itself was clean and presentable. 5 stars from me!

I would like to know why everytime I go to order from the deli after 4:30 almost everything is eaither not available or have to wait at 20 plus mins for an order. I went in today asked for the family meal and the associate said yes to my order and when I said the side I wanted because there wasn't some already made he said it will take about 10 mins which was absolutely fine with and once I said yes that would be great another associate yelled out yeah no we dont have that all out now I understand if you run out but it seems like the associate that yelled out no just didnt want to make the order. So I said fine never mind I understand and continued to shop and once I went to wait in the check out line which only 2 registers open of course there is a wait and perfectly fine but the line started to get long so a very nice associate called to open another line and told this guy to open up and he said to him no I'm going to lunch and he repeated himself to please open up and which I thought he was a lead because his uniform was all black not the same as the cashiers and rudely said I'm going to lunch and walked away. Honestly just was ridiculous and rude to all that was left standing not very Leader like very disappointing trip I'll think twice next time and go to another grocery store that employees take pride in their work rather than say were out and cant help you going to lunch!

Why are you allowing people in without masks. This is a volation of public safety. I have at lest 8 people In your store in volation of the mask policy. You need someone at the front encoring this.

Not this store specially but the entire company is terrible. Where should I start... Well let's start with this you work hard in life to try and get to where you want to be at in life but Staters doesn't care about that they promote people who they like. As the saying goes it's all in who you know not how you work. How true is that. You could be the most qualified person for the position work day in and day and still not get a promotion it's who they like not who works hard anymore. Also, if you sleep with the right people you can get anywhere in the company and trust it has and is STILL happening. As a honest hearted worker it is really irritating when you go to school get your education and still don't seem to fit the shoes they want you in even though you are more than qualified for any one position. It all goes back to who you know and sleep with. They treat their employees terrible. They don't want to pay them anything, talk to them any kind of way. The lower level employees are the ones really running the store but they can barely get any recognition for all their hard work. But on the other hand Store Managers and Assistant Managers get $15,000 and $10,000 respectively. But us little ones can't get anything. It's all about the money with this company and nothing more. They want to portray like they're doing so much but in reality they're not. Back in the day this company used to be the place to work for when Jack Brown was alive but since the shift in executive management things have gone down hill. The moral at the stores is so bad almost everyone hates their job because of how this company rests their employees. How about how they pay their board members $79,000 just to be on the board of directors. Or what about $750 for just attending the board meeting. Not to mention to potential hundreds of thousands of dollars in bonuses they could receive

Their freaking ridiculous. This time they were smoking in the back room, you could smell the weed just coming from there storage room. Associates will stand there with the security guard just watching while no one helps to open another register. Managers and cussing up and storm, the witch (you know what i mean) behind the deli counter gets pissed off cause i ask for a box for the chicken, mins you i can see them and she says they don't have any, she only gets it after i tell her there right in front of her then she try's to add the extra weight to what i bought. Multiple times the meat from the meat department had been rancid, how they stay open i have no idea. Worst store in the IE for sure

Anything more than 2 stars is being waaaaay too generous. Our experience wasn't too bad for being honest and being polite. This location we went into because it's close to my husband's job. Not our typical choice in Stater Bros we'd normally go to. Some of you know what I'm talking about; others who don't get it-please don't read too much into it. It's really not important. We got a few items - packed items, reading recent reviews, will not purchase meat or anything freshly made or perishable. So we got what we wanted and got out. It wasn't too bad, as far as no long lines. Well, that's all folks.

I used to shop here with my kids never again. Someone got shot inside the store no suspect in custody. I couldnt imagine being an employee working for you. If you can't find out who shot a customer I guess the same goes for if it happened to one of your Associates. I will shop in another city where they care. No armed security guard present we shop and have to protect ourselves. In the parking lot
