Long overdue review -- better late than never! :)--I am sharing to RAVE about Bright Star Preschool/Child Development Center. Our son began Bright Star when he was 4years old and was there until of age to attend Kindergarten. We were referred to Bright Star by another parent who had a child attending the school and raved about Teacher Mary and her team. Prior to meeting Teacher Mary for the school tour, she was easy to communicate with via email, phone, text. Upon meeting her in person, we automatically loved her energy and personality. We could tell that Teacher Mary truly loves what she does and cares about the children. She is passionate about creating a safe space for kids to foster their growth. When our son started school, it was definitely an adjustment for him. It was a new routine, new school, new people. What helped him with the transition and made the morning drop-offs easier was that we were always greeted with smiling faces and positive energy from the teachers. Teacher Mary and her team of teachers are simply outstanding. They are devoted to the safety and well being of the kids. They follow the county guidelines to the tee with COVID and would go above and beyond by treating the kids as one of their own. In the classroom, the teachers bring their different backgrounds and experiences to share with the kids to help foster their academic, social, and emotional growth. They bring creativity and fun into the classroom. Our son was always eager to share the art projects he did at school, the social events he attended, the dance parties he danced in, and the songs he sang from school (at night, he would sing to us right before bed). Bright Star is a unique place because Teacher Mary recognizes that there is no one way of teaching and fostering a child's learning and growth. The school creates an environment where kids can explore through play, classroom style of writing, reading, listening, sharing (show n tell), singing, and many other learning modalities. Additionally, we love the fact that Bright Star provides meals with the tuition (super helpful for working parents!). Their meals are diverse and we are grateful for them because we noticed it has been helping Max explore other food and cuisines that he wouldn't normally want to try at home or when we are out and about. Being at school, he's gotten "braver" and willing to try new food! We can rave on and on about Bright Star and highly recommend it to our friends and family. If you have any questions, we would be happy to share further with you our personal experiences. Thank you Bright Star for your outstanding care and teachings! We love you!
