Called the morning of to see if they are able to take last minute appointments. Yes, there was an opening 2 hours later. Took my son to get a haircut and loved that there was 3 different cars to chose from. He felt comfortable and didn't cry. Loved the cut and we'll definitely be back for his future ones

Quena has a great experience with difficult children at time of hair cut.The place is kid friendly: my son played Mario bross while she cuts the hair.

Very inclusive and accommodating for my son who has autism. They've always treated him with care and he has responded very well to them. It's a but far for us, but we are willing to travel for the great service.

I had my toddler haircut here and I'm honestly liked his haircut. The only thing I dislike is this place is dirty and they don't sanitize or wipe the chairs after each use. I came to have my toddler first haircut and I see all the hairs everywhere on the seat and counter. I would recommend the parent to bring your sanitizing wipes to clean the chair before you have your baby haircut.

My grandson is not a fan of haircuts. Both stylists have been patient and kind with him and the cut is exactly what we wanted.

Brought my 22 month old in for a cut. We were late due to my kid napping and a road closure but she was very understanding. Once we finally got there she worked super quickly and within 10 minutes or less my kid was out of the little car chair! His cut is super cute

I brought my daughter for her very first haircut. The woman did not listen to me at all. I asked for a trim. Super simple, right?The woman cut several inches off and took all of my daughter’s curls out. My husband and I feel very sad about it. Never bring your child here.

My son loved the car chairs so he did great. He sat very still and enjoyed the haircut. Wish it came out better but I didn't realize how much the sides and back weren't blended. He enjoyed it so...... I'm happy for that.

If you live in San Bruno and have little ones, this place is very convenient. It's clean and close by and has worked well for us and is fast. We tried doing haircuts at home, but just hasn't worked out for us and I don't need that stress from fighting the kids over a haircut. My son willingly goes, and even asks to go, because he wants the little dum-dum lollipop they give him at the end. It's a win as far as I'm concerned.

My son was in bad need of his first real haircut. There aren't too many salons in our area that are specifically tailored towards kids so I was so happy to have found Happy Scissors. They have chairs that are designed just for toddlers - my son got to sit in a police car and "drive" with the wheel while getting his haircut which was a good distraction for him. They also have dedicated TVs for each station which also helps the kids to focus on something else. The lady cutting my son's hair was obviously experienced working with kids as she very quickly and efficiently started trimming my son's hair before he even realized what was happening. Since it was his first haircut, he ended up protesting quite a bit but even with his hands getting in the way and him squirming to get out of the seat, the lady was still able to give him a very decent haircut in the span of 5 minutes. The price is kind of steep for something that only takes a few minutes ($26) but I still think it's worth it for someone who knows what they're doing and has good bedside manner with kids. Will definitely come back for our next cut.
