I recently bought a Hyundai Ioniq 5 from Hyundai San Bruno, and I have to say, the experience was much better than I expected. I'm usually not comfortable at car dealerships, often finding the whole car buying process a bit awkward and pushy. But this time, it was different. My salesperson, Sayed, was great to work with. He understood that I wasn't looking for a high-pressure sales pitch and respected that. Throughout the process, he was helpful and patient, focusing on what I needed rather than pushing for a quick sale. One of the things I appreciated the most was how Sayed worked with me on the financial aspects. He helped get the monthly payments and the down payment to a level that I was comfortable with, which was a big relief. It's not often that you find a salesperson willing to take the time to really help you out with the numbers. The dealership itself had a relaxed atmosphere, which made the whole experience more pleasant. I felt like I could take my time and didn't have to rush into any decisions.Overall, I left Hyundai San Bruno happy with my purchase and the service I received. If you're looking for a straightforward, no-nonsense car buying experience, I'd recommend checking them out, and ask for Sayed. He made a typically stressful process a lot easier.

Worst experience ever when trying to buy a car! Don't waste your time going there! Try San Leandro or Concord instead. This dealership uses all kinds of sales tactics to squeeze more money out of you, we wasted 5h there because of their stupid games and incompetence... The sales advisor Cristal did a great job taking us on a test drive, answering our questions about the car, and getting an offer. But then Omar from finance tried to use scare tactics to sell us a Wear & Tear package for $100 more/month. He was horrible to deal with, very aggressive and defensive when I was giving him feedback. They're the reason why people go buy Teslas, so they don't need to deal with all this shit! We eventually went to another Hyundai dealership the next day, and got the car we wanted for less money and under 2h - none of the stupid sales tactics!

**Update** My vehicle has been at the service department since 11/11 and no response since picking up the loaner. Supposedly the transmission needs to be replaced, less than 17k miles. No updates on the service. We have been in contact with corporate Hyundai and our rep has even tried to contact the service department but no response from them. Both my husband and I have left messages with a number of people at Hyundai since picking up the loaner. Maybe by me updating the review they will call us back. When picking up a loaner you would think they would check the last time they maintained, oil change and filling up fluids, the vehicle prior to releasing to a customer. This did not happen and the reason for us calling and leaving messages is because of this. Again not surprised by their customer service. It has been horrible since the beginning, especially with the excuses and response time

From reading previous reviews I am shocked that I was actually able to get service on the phone. When I was able to make an appointment with them for a service on my car I didn't have my vin available. The service advisor told me to call back to give the vin to verify the repair. I have been calling for weeks now and I am never able to get through. I hit the operator number for this Hyundai location and the operator said that is the norm for them. I wasn't able to even leave a voicemail for the service provider because the voicemail is full. The operator took my name and phone number down and said someone would get back to me. I have done the name and phone number routine a bunch of times and no one has ever gotten back to me. I just called and the girl that was the front desk operator told me to just come in person to talk to the service team. Told her it would be an inconvenience on my part to drive down because someone can't answer the phone and she just said sorry that's the only way you would be able to talk to them. long story short due to the lack of basic communication, I would never buy a car here let alone a service contract with them. The service team definitely is a reflection on their dealership and probably the car buying experience.

Sales was awesome.... The service department is possibly the worst service I have ever received for anything EVER!Without all of the details of how horrible they have been to me (I have 2 of these vehicles both purchased there) but even with complaints to the national organization nothing was done to improve the dealership or the horrendous service other than to make sure I don''t somehow end up qualifying under California lemon laws to make them buy back my car.The service department does not answer the phone, NEVER CALLS YOU BACK, and is super rude when you get through. These are not my first Hyundai cars and the service I had received at every other Hyundai dealership had always been above and beyond until this dealership in San Bruno appeared. If you live in the San Bruno/North Penninsula area I very STRONGLY suggest just not buying a Hyundai car because all of the warranty and service promises mean nothing if you have no access to or even ability to contact their service department and the Hyundai corporation as a whole could care less.I have had amazing experiences with Hyundai for years, but my next cars will not be Hyundai cars because our local dealership is so unbelievably terrible!

READ BEFORE PURCHASING A VEHICLE HERE - STAY AWAY:I strongly encourage you to reconsider purchasing a vehicle from this dealership, and frankly from the entire Cardinale Auto Group.TLDR; the dealership accepted (and sold) my trade-in vehicle and now refuses to pay me for it while claiming they have no record of the vehicle. This issue has been escalated to the San Bruno Police Department. All of the staff members I worked with during my original purchase, including the GSM of the dealership, no longer work at the dealership. Current staff can not be bothered to help me solve this and have lied to my face on multiple occasions, including insinuating I am personally trying to do something illegal as well as claiming the old dealership staff paid me cash for my vehicle. So many lies, hard to track them, the current GSM goes by the name of Ammal (sp?) and fits the sleezy car salesman stereotype to a T. Calling me "bud" and telling me "my word is as good as gold" and then just lying to my face. I wouldn't buy a car from him or this dealership if it was offered to me for $1.On August 20th, 2023, my wife and I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership (a 2022 Honda Accord Hybrid). Our transaction was handled by Salesman Raj (Suraj Vishwakarma), Finance Director/Sales Manager Rob (Roberto Martinez) and briefly by another Sales Manager named Hameed Safi. I also now understand that Rob was working with General Sales Manager Tony Behari on this transaction. ALL OF THESE EMPLOYEES NO LONGER WORK FOR THE DEALERSHIP. During negotiations for this purchase we also expressed interest in trading in our current vehicle. After some back and forth we decided to not include our current car in the core deal (as I didn't have the title with me) but that the dealership would still like to purchase the vehicle from me separately for the same $2,500 we discussed as a trade as soon as I had the title. We were also told it would be totally fine to leave the vehicle at the dealership that day and the already had they keys (common car salesman trick of keeping the keys to the old car in their hand and the new car in your hand). A couple of weeks later (after constant communication with my salesman and the finance manager of the dealership) I brought in the title (wound up having to get it retitled with the DMV causing the delay) and signed a release of liability with the same finance manager Rob who I had continued to communicate with. He was busy, I did not get any paper work in return, receipt, etc. This is 100% my fault and was stupid, I know. But, I'm standing inside of a major car retailer that is a member of a billion dollar a year auto group, I assumed I had at least a TINY bit of trust (wrong) and could leave them in charge of my meager $2,500 trade-in.After I dropped off the title I proceeded to communicate with this same finance manager Rob for approximately 4-5 weeks, he was always "working on it" or "checking with the boss" on something and then finally last Saturday (November 11th) he calls me and tells me he no longer works for the dealership and that I would need to deal with the dealership itself to get my money. In a state of shock, I call the dealership directly and speak with a Sales manager named Liz, she says she will look into this and call me back (she does not). I call again, she says a manager named Ammal will be calling me. Shockingly, Ammal does not call. I call again and talk to Ammal, he assures me he is looking into this. He says he will text me and we'll figure out a time I can come in to speak to him. Nope, no call back. I call him again and ask when we can discuss in person, he suggests Saturday (yesterday November 18). I go in and he makes me wait around for an hour off and on before finally accusing me of doing something improper and telling me there is nothing he can do. The single worst customer service experience I've ever had. I immediately went to the San Bruno Police Department next door. Stay away from these dirt bags.

I was impressed by the customer service I received from San Bruno Hyundai in leasing our Ioniq 5. Our sales associate Francisco went above and beyond what we expected. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly enjoyed showing us the car and what it could do. As my wife and I were new to the area and didn't yet have a car, Francisco even picked us up at home and drove us to the dealership in an Ioniq 5. We couldn't be happier with the service Francisco provided.

Service department: My car was stolen and it took Hyundai 2 months to replace the ignition. It is incredibly difficult to get anyone to answer the phone, I called every day and no one ever returned my calls. I had my insurance rep go in person to discuss the status and they said "the car is still under repair due to being overwhelmed and there is no other excuse". They would not give me a rental car either. I never got any updates throughout those 2 months. When my car was ready- it took over 2 hours in their office for them to find it and hand over the keys. There are still minor issues with the repairs and I cannot get anyone from the service department to pick up the phone and assist. I highly recommend getting your car towed to the santa rosa location or anywhere else.

Very friendly and professional service, and the price and financing is very fair. When I arrived for my appointment, I was greeted by the manager who quickly assigned Cristal Vasquez, one of the product product specialist. Cristal Vasquez is amazing. She is very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. She is especially very caring and understood and quickly addressed my needs. She is a pleasure to work with. With her advise, I made my decision to got the vehicle I was interested in quickly and got the car within 3 days. The top rated Ioniq 5 Sel is a dream to drive and Cristal was the main reason I went with this car. The Hyundai team at San Bruno at all levels were very efficient and made my shopping experience amazing. I highly recommended Cristal Vasquez and San Bruno Hyundai. They are the best!

Huge selection and professional service. Not pushy or trying to upsell. I had a terrible experience with some Hyundai dealerships, where they tried to scam me for a higher price after they ran a credit check without my permission, but this location has better integrity and upfront with their pricing

We worked with Raj at Hyundai of San Bruno to purchase our new EV and enjoyed our experience. He was friendly, patient and responsive and I feel he is someone that we can trust for assistance in the future. He is also quick about following up when we have questions, which I appreciate. I would definitely recommend working with him if you're interested in a new vehicle!

I had the best experience with San Bruno Hyundai, and in particular with Tony (the GM) and Cristal (my sales specialist). They gave me the absolute best price on the vehicle I wanted. I literally visited every single Hyundai dealership in the Bay Area, but San Bruno beat everyone. Don't even waste your time with another dealership. Tony even hooked me up with a loaner when it turned out my car was being delayed a few days arriving into the dealership. Just amazing service and communication, overall.Seriously, skip the shopping around and just go straight to San Bruno Hyundai!

I recently purchased a used EV from this dealership and had good experience interacting with the team. Dhruv was our sales person and he was friendly and patient as we test drove the car twice to get reassured on some issues. He also helped us get the car serviced for some minor paint repair before picking up.One thing operational-wise they could improve on is the long wait time to get paper work done once we decided on purchasing. They are likely running over capacity in the finance department on Saturday so I suggest avoiding Saturday afternoon if possible, which is probably their busiest time of the week…

Was told to reach out to the General Manager of the Service Dept, about my experience, but have not had them answer phones or voicemails after several, several tries. The one time I was put on hold, I was hung up on after 20 minutes since it reached closing time. Like all the other reviews say, this department is completely nonexistent. Even if you try to escalate an issue, you will get no support. Hope they're closed down soon. Avoid at ALL COSTS.

Great, friendly, and helpful people here. I had an urgent issue with my car and they (chiefly Mike and Francisco) helped me within the hour.Would seriously look here if looking for a new car since their sales and servicing teams are so responsive and helpful
