I've come in for many things- whether it is to make a P2P transfer (which they did for me on the spot without an appointment which I am eternally grateful for), to buy ammo, look and get a feel for certain guns (even let me try out the LEO only selection to see if they fit my hand well), or just shoot the shit and see what selection they had on hand. They're always super nice and helpful. Never felt pressured to buy anything or felt stupid to ask questions. Just don't be a dick and be safe and all the staff will be nice to you. So if you're new to 2A, welcome and you'll have a great time here. Be aware they keep the door locked so be patient and don't try to barge in. You need to be buzzed. Other than that, nothing but good things for the boys and girls at Peninsula!

Excellent service. Extremely knowledgeable staff. No nonsense staff with an aptitude for detail impressed me the most. The selection was nice but I have to speak highly of the service .all positive experience nothing negative unless you want to be critical but I only wish they can buy the business next door so they could expand. No offense all respect but I wish the place were a little bigger.

I used to like this business but not anymore. I went in and asked about best concealed carry weapon options they had. The gentleman showed me some product and mentioned getting CCW license was "EASY" then proceeded to try and get me to purchase handgun. I left the store as I wanted to do more research on the process and on different guns. I soon learned the process for obtaining CCW permits was suspended due to Senate Bill 2. Additionally, it would be very difficult to go through with it. So much for "EASY". What the heck?? That is a form of selling under false pretenses.

This has become my go-to gun shop. Sal is the man, but everyone in this shop is excellent at what they do. The prices are awesome and the more you buy the more you save. Came in on a busy Saturday (everyday is busy, it’s a gun store) and even though they were slammed, I was able to get my Glock Gucci’d up while I waited. The staff rocks, everyone is very pleasant and knowledgeable and there isn’t the usual air of pretentiousness that you get in most Bay Area gun stores. I feel welcome and am greeted as soon as I walk in. They will give you excellent guidance not just tell you what they prefer. It’s refreshing to get such good customer service from such a busy shop. Seriously, I’ve been to them all and this one is the best. I’ll be buying all my guns here from now on. They are very skilled and speedy armorers as well if you need work done on your existing firearms. Can’t wait to buy a bang-stick from these fine folks!!

The worst part about this whole interaction: after buying from them and as I was leaving I heard him call me a “douchebag” under his breadth! I walked out shocked and disturbed. I’m sure the other people who work there are aware or are just as awful as this guy.Moving forward I will be so happy to drive to a big-box outfitter over an hour away to spend all my shooting and hunting equipment money. In fact i just bought the exact gun I wanted for less than MSRP and some shooting equipment from one in Brentwood. I bet I would not have gotten such a good deal at PGT. I dropped over 700 bucks. Your loss, Sal.There are other reviews here that talk about someone who works at PGT, "Sal"?The guy I worked with had a clean shaved head and a goatee, too. I could tell he was trying to not lose his temper as he interacted with me on a quiet afternoon where the store was practically dead and over staffed. Granted he had just finished unpacking 2-3 cardboard boxes and was still cleaning up.Still, Sal, chill out, man. Sincerely, I am ok with being ignored for a couple of minutes while you finish that. Instead he got irritated probably because he does not listen and react well to what other people are saying. I came in to look at shotguns. Then I remembered that I needed a travel case for a handgun. I ended up buying a small safe box that is way too heavy to travel with. I wish Sal could have pointed that out to me ahead of time instead of just pushing it into my hands, literally. I bought the safe anyway with out giving it enough thought, because I was feeling generous and wanted to help a local business. PGT has a no refund policy and I don’t want to try and guilt/annoy them into taking back this thing. I’m glad there are other places in the bay where I can buy guns and ammo.

I recently had the opportunity to work with Sal and his team at Peninsula Guns and Tactical, and it was an experience that deserves nothing less than a full 5-star rating. For anyone who values personalized, friendly service, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment over any of the larger, more corporate options available. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming. Sal and his colleagues were extremely helpful, friendly, and took the time to ensure that all of my needs were met. What sets this shop apart is the high level of individual attention you receive, transforming what could be a straightforward transaction into an engaging and informative experience.I've always been an advocate for supporting small businesses, especially when they offer a superior experience, as was the case here. While it might cost a few extra dollars compared to larger retailers, the quality of service and community presence easily justifies the expense. It's not just about buying a product; it's about becoming a part of a community that values each customer as an individual. One of the standout aspects of Peninsula Guns and Tactical is their commitment to customer satisfaction. If you find that something isn't available in-store, all you need to do is call or stop by. As long as your request meets state guidelines, they will go out of their way to get it for you. This level of service is rare to find, even in smaller shops. In summary, Peninsula Guns and Tactical offers a flawless shopping experience. It's a place that not only sells quality products but also fosters a sense of community, something that is so important in today's world. If you're in the market for firearms or tactical gear and are looking for a shop that makes you feel like more than just another customer, look no further.

I have been going here for years. Sal has been my go to guy for everything I could ever need or want for my collection. He's crazy knowledgeable and has great insight to what I need. Chad is my backup when Sal is busy with another customer. Everyone here is phenomenal and provides me all the professional customer service I could ever need or ask for.

As a first timer, I was a bit afraid of going there after reading some of the reviews here. But I decided to give it a try and make my own opinion. I am so glad I did, the whole experience and service was so friendly, polite and professional. It could not have been a better experience. I spent a good hour there on the first visit, passing the safety test and then being shown and taught about a variety of weapons. They didn't push any product, and took the time to explain things and how I should rely on my own preferences for picking up a firearm. The whole process felt really comfortable and educational. I ended up going for a Sig P229 Elite, and after going home and researching more online about it, I felt that I really did the right choice and was fantastically well guided throughout the process.Returned yesterday to pick up the piece and extras, and was again super well received and helped with all my new questions.Thank you to everyone there, really A+ shop and people!

I probably should have posted my review much earlier as I go here quite regularly. The team is awesome and this last purchase I had the pleasure of dealing with Sal. I was in the market for a new rifle scope for my .270 tikka t3. Even though the store was quite busy at the time, Sal took his time and answered all of my questions and offered great recommendations. I felt like having him work on my rifle put me at ease because I knew he puts care and pride in his work and the background knowledge he had on optics/scopes. When I received the rifle back, it was spot on with eye relief and everything about it felt like solid work had been done to it. Big thanks to Sal on this purchase.I have bought several guns from this store and each member of the peninsula guns team has treated me with the utmost respect and offered great guidance and knowledge no matter what I was in the market for. I know for sure this won’t be my last visit to peninsula guns, I’ll be back boys!

Guy I worked with was named "Sal". Goatee, clean shaved head, maybe late 40s. Terrible attitude. Disrespectful the whole time. Asked me questions and didn't even let me answer. I found it very difficult to explain what I'm really aiming for. Treated me like a 10 year old child. Talked down to me and talked through me. At times spoke so loudly and criticizing, I felt embarassed. Apparently I was "holding the gun wrong." Whenever I spoke, or tried to communicate what I'm going for, he interrupted my sentences. Multiple times. After about 10 minutes or so I had enough, I told him straight "Hey man, I was in the military, got several years of discipline and awareness training, take it easy" to give him a hint to tone it down and be more respectful. Instead he just gave me a smug stare and said "Well thank you for your service" like he didn't even mean it, just said it. He still continued talking to me the same arrogant way. To rub salt in it, he would look away and speak real nicely to other customers "Hey man, you're the best, we'll do anything for you" and nicey things like that to other customers, then turn back to me with the weirdest disrespectful stares and same bizarre, bossy, smug voice. Very clear it was intentional. Real divisive guy, weirdly power tripping, and completely unnecessary. Totally crossed the line. I had every intention of purchasing a piece that day for home defense and my goal was to not leave until I started the process. I bought nothing. Unnerving experience.

Stopped in to pick up some pepper spray. Felt a little intimidated before I entered. Was greeted promptly and friendly. Very professional and helpful staff. Planning to go back for other purchases.
