This place exceeded expectations! We booked it because of its close proximity to public transport and SFO airport and it was that, and so much more. We took the Caltrain from San Jose after the Sharks game and felt perfectly safe on the 10min walk, even though it was close to midnight. The lady at reception was friendly and kind, despite the late hour. She even offered for us to stop by in the morning before our early flight to grab a free coffee. We appreciated her asking about our flight details, to ensure we had a plan to get to the airport on time. The room itself was much bigger and luxurious than we expected. Much better than your average motel/inn! It was very clean, the bed was comfortable and wifi worked great. The coffee machine, microwave and fridge were very nice touches. The best part of all - it's walking distance to the FREE 24h blue line AirTrain to SFO. Google maps directions are reliable, though the staff were also able to direct us there. Save yourself an uber trip and stay here before/after your flight!Rooms: Spacious, great amenities. Bathroom very clean and well stocked. Wifi worked great. Comfortable night's sleep.Walkability: Super close (10min walk) to the Caltrain and Bart station. 10-15min walk with 15kg luggage to the free blue line AirTrain to SFO, which runs 24h

I recently stayed at the Regency Inn in San Francisco, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. As I was searching for a hotel within my budget, I encountered a common dilemma - most affordable options in the downtown city were either outdated or inconveniently located, often with shared bathrooms. However, my luck turned around when I discovered the Regency Inn near the SFO airport. One of the first things that caught my attention was its proximity to public transportation. Being just a short 2-minute walk from the San Bruno Caltrain station, it made exploring the city incredibly convenient.Upon entering my room, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and cleanliness. The rooms were well-maintained and provided all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. It was evident that the hotel took pride in keeping their accommodations in top-notch condition. The complimentary morning breakfast was a welcome addition. While it wasn't an extravagant spread, it provided a satisfying start to the day. The offerings included coffee, juice, muffins, yogurts, and even some cheese sandwiches. However, what truly set the Regency Inn apart was the exceptional staff. Dinesh, who handled my check-in, was incredibly accommodating, ensuring that the process went smoothly. I also had the pleasure of chatting with Rema at the front desk, who guided me about the transportation San Francisco. In conclusion, if you're searching for a safe and budget-friendly hotel in San Francisco, I wholeheartedly recommend considering the Regency Inn. Its convenient location near public transportation, spacious and clean rooms, and attentive staff make it an excellent choice for travelers seeking both comfort and affordability. Instead of dealing with the drawbacks of staying in downtown SF, this hotel offers a fantastic alternative that won't disappoint.

Basic hotel good for staying at close to airport. I was meeting friends the next day and had to drop off rental car that morning. This place fit the bill. Area is noisy being right next to airport and trains, which is to be expected, but nothing that bothered me. Since planes come in over water, planes coming in over the hotel were surprisingly few. Room was clean and big. Other guests were likely in the same boat as me, needing to get up in the AM so no party problems or excessive noise issues. There's a Valero across the street to gas up before dropping off car and a convenience store a block away. Bed was comfortable and heater worked well. Staff was pleasant and efficient. Nothing fancy but I got a good night's sleep which is what I was there for. I would book again in a similar situation for sure. Cheaper and closer than other options.

The hotel is very small but it is very well kept. We had a wonderful time here. Everyone who works here is very sweet, friendly and know the area. We are from Fresno so we had a lot of questions about where things were and they answered each question. Will recommend to anyone who needs to stay here.

Loud place the airplanes fly right above this place, busy street all night long. The manager Dinesh has a great work ethic. Beds were good, there is yogurt, juices, coffee, danish serve in the morning.

It was such a pleasure to have stayed at the Regency Inn SFO, everything was spotlessly clean in the office, the staff named Rema and Dinesh were very hospitable and welcoming on our checking in and checking out. Our room was immaculate, no smelly carpet nor dusty drapes, bathroom nice and clean with bath mat for the tub, it was so nice to not have the water backed up while taking a shower. We never drink the coffee or tea at hotels/motels because it never looks sanitary, but we drank tea and ate snacks there because it was so spotlessly clean, the bed sheets smelt clean, the room had no foul smell. I forgot my coat in the closet and Dinesh was so nice and helpful in having me retrieve it. It was such a pleasure after a long flight and feeling exhausted to have such a positive experience like we did choosing to stay at the Regency, now we know whenever we are in SF, we have a place to stay where we feel very comfortable. Please stay at this Inn, you would not regret it.

During COVID-19 this may be especially considerable, but the rooms hidden in the hallways might not have the best ventilation. But this is a problem with other hotels as well. I recommend going into the hotel and opening a window or at least turning on the fan of the air conditioner. I had to stay with my father who had the heater set to 75 degrees, which was too warm for me. Eventually, we turned the heater off and I let the cool winter air blow and ventilate the room, otherwise it was unbearable. But perhaps, given that they have excellent service for the rooms, they could maintain indoor plants by the windows close to the sunlight that can make the rooms more bearable during COVID-19.

Dinesh and Rema were both very kind and accomodating. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is an easy trip to the airport and within walking distance to Caltrain, but also to Bart if you are willing to walk a little further. Would stay here again.

Before I moved back here, I stayed at the hotel every time I came to the bay. Danesh runs the place and he makes it feel like a home away from home. I felt like I was calling up a member of my family every time I came here and he’d be like, “hey, how’ve you been, which room would you like?” There has been a lot of quaint touches added, lemon trees, espresso machine, breakfast items. I have stayed in several of the rooms and they were all super clean. Rosea, I believe is her name, she cleans the place thoroughly and will accommodate you if you need extra make-up wipes, etc. Also, there was a new lady working the front desk at the night shift. She was so nice. All the people that work here are genuinely caring and run it like a boutique hotel. Make sure you leave them each a nice tip as it’s a great value and they bend over backward for you.
