Mark is a Mercedes Benz repair superstar. When my vintage Mercedes needed service from transmission leak, I brought the car to Autohaus and Mark was able to quickly diagnose the problem and give me a solution. There was no hassle in any of this. Mark has a passion for repairing cars ranging from MB Gullwing, 560 SELS and the newer SLKs. Why overpay for maintenance when Mark is ethically and knowledgeable to quickly resolve any issue and help you maintain the vehicle for a long long time.Services: Electrical repair

Mark really knows Mercedes Benz technology. He serviced my transmission and did a full, end-to-end, check of my M300 Sport for a very fair price. I particularly liked the way he showed me the parts he had replaced while explaining what he found. Not only did he repair my car ... he also taught me some valuable lessons about caring for it. I'm thrilled to have discovered a super skilled mechanic that charges a fair price.

5/18/2020I brought my 1989 Mercedes 560 SL to Autohaus Zdenek on November 11, 2019 as my car had just begun to suddenly lose power going uphill. The owner Mark Vrnak's initial diagnosis was that the fuel pumps were bad and needed to be replaced for a cost of $1,100, which I agreed to pay. When that didn't seem to resolve the problem, he then replaced the temperature switch, air slide valve and adjusted the idle to time at the correct RPM. Mark returned my car to me on November 26th and said the problem had been corrected and invoiced me for $2,494.35, which I paid promptly. When I took my car home from Autohaus Zdenek and proceeded to drive up a hill, I realized that the car was still losing power, so I brought my car back to them. Mark then replaced the ignition coil, EHA, air filer, air filter buffer, as well as adjusted the air mixture and checked the timing. He returned the car to me in the month of January and insisted the problem was fixed. I was given an invoice for $993.88 of which I paid promptly. When I drove the car uphill, I once again realized that the car was still losing power and that the original problem still had not been corrected. Since my regular mechanic at Autohaus Klaus Nagel was now back at work (had been out with a serious injury), I decided to bring my car to him to get his diagnosis on the car. Klaus Nagel immediately diagnosed the problem as a bad catalytic converter and replaced it for $980.00, which fixed the problem. I sent a letter to Mark on March 11, 2020 explaining my disappointment and frustration over spending nearly $3,500 at Autohaus Zdenek to fix a problem that they were unable to repair. I said that there was value in the work that he did on my Mercedes, as he made the engine and car run better, but thought it would be fair and equitable to give me some sort of credit back on the $3,498 that I paid Autohaus Zdenek. I asked them to contact me so we could discuss further. A few days later, I was shocked when I heard the voicemail that Linda (Mark's wife and co-owner of Autohaus Zdenek) left me. She told me that I was being unfair to Mark, as he had worked really hard trying to repair the car and I had no right asking for any type of credit back. Linda then said that she knows of people like me that pull these tactics so that they can get work for free and don't have to pay their bill. She ended up saying that they had a gut feeling that I was going to be trouble and concluded her message with an insulting comment. I immediately called Autohaus Zdenek and Linda answered the telephone. I told her that I was not trying to scam Autohaus Zdenek, as I had paid both of my invoices immediately upon receiving the car, but felt I deserved some sort of credit since they were unable to fix the actual problem. I then spoke to Mark who claimed the car was running perfectly when he returned the car to me and questioned the validity that Autohaus Klaus Nagel ever replaced the catalytic converter. I told Mark that Linda's voicemail was rude and disrespectful, but he never apologized for her comments. I think Mark Vrnak is probably a good mechanic, despite the fact that he was unable to fix the problem he was hired to repair. However, I spent nearly $4,500 to fix a specific problem that could have been repaired for under $1,000. More importantly, I would never recommend Autohaus Zdenek, as their unprofessional, insulting and accusatory manner in which they handled my complaint was inexcusable.

Even if they could fix the engine of the space shuttle, I would never bring my vehicle here. Owner is a complete dipshit – do you want to support and do business with people like this?? Patronize nicer establishments instead!

Fantastic service, clear concise and honest. Moving my 3 MBZ to this shop from dealer service after their poor quality and presssure based Sales techniques that lead to overcharging for non required repairs.

Mr. and Mrs. Fonner, I believe you reviewed the wrong business as they are the Mercedes Benz repair shop. Could you please make sure you reviewed the correct business.

The owner yelled at and verbally abused my husband. It's unacceptable. Why support individuals with no courtesy and basic humanity? The world is fragile enough. We need to support business who care for the community and spread some joy.

Mark is awesome, he figured out right away what's wrong , ordered parts and fixed it within a day. Now my 280 SLK is back running smoothly and I can enjoy the summer rides. Thank you Mark for your great service.

Mark is a real pro. Trained in Germany, he is not only an expert with MBZ diagnosis, he is probably the most honest technician I've ever worked with. I'm on my 4th MBZ, a 2007 E350. Mark has services it since it was new. Don't waste your time and money elsewhere(especially the dealers).

I am continually impressed with Autohaus Zdenek. The two owners (husband and wife) are super friendly and accommodating. Mark was very transparent with the repairs that needed to be done, and kept a careful eye on the final repair cost (very refreshing after being burned one too many times at the dealership). I highly suggest supporting this repair shop - you will be happy you gave them a chance!

I echo the positive posts above. I have been going to Mark for over 10 years. I could write a novel about all he has done on my multiple MBZ's over the years. I have had some really funky issues too. He does a fantastic job at a fair price.
