I mean if I could give 0 stars I would! I scheduled to have my taxes done with EVANNA LEE. She damn sure took her time to see me. I came and checked in early, waited, and waited. I had to ask one of the front how much longer and she went to get her. Once evanna came there was ZERO acknowledgement of my wait.I sat in her office and seemed like she was fishing for reasons to not do my taxes. I thought it was odd her questioning PRIOR to asking for my W-2I was a travel nurse, but worked in California all of 2023. Well she found an excuse. According to Ms. LEE she does not have license to file taxes in NY.So I filed for an extension. I went to the front desk I asked is there anyone that has a multi state license and they said oh Evanna does.Very unprofessional. Just a down right liar, poor customer service and avoidant.10/10 would not recommend that woman.

The Advisors at this location are dishonest, my advisor Bhavna ignored My request and filed anyway!!! Bita Hamidi tried to cover the lie and then had to admit weeks later what I had been claiming all along. No one knew the process for getting the refund advance and kept telling me she applied, when I specifically asked several time prior to signing and she said yes! And when I asked because you need a emerald card for the loan she said yes, well did you apply for the emerald card she said no you wanted direct deposit. As a advisor your supposed to know this unless you didnt care whether I got the service I was asking for or not. She didn't care her reply was "Sorry!!" With exclamation mark. You better go in Person because doing your taxes using a pro you are just a number$$$!

I will never go this place ever again. Bad customer service, incompetent staff, and worse a rude manager. Very unprofessional. I was there for 1.5 hours. About my experience today: I called to schedule a appointment to get my taxes done and asked how much it was the man tells $125-$250 over the phone. I go in and we sit. The elderly men who assisted me can barely fill out the online form, enter numbers incorrectly and I often had to correct him to fix my name. At this time I was disappointed and a little nervous. He then went to grab someone to help him because the form will not go through and the staff that comes tells him "you have to fill these lines out" Like common sense. As I watch him struggle trying to see how much I will get from state and federal I am reading on the second screen thinking he hasn't even read these to me. I felt like I needed to review the forms before submitting and saying yes to anything. At the end he tells me I need to pay $326. I said "thats a huge difference from what he told me on the phone and amount and on top of that it took 1.5 hour watching him make mistakes. If you are working in a place I expect better since they are "professionals" dealing with confidential taxes. I am shocked of how I was treated at this H&R Block by their manager. She first tells me come in and SIT while she's standing on her standing up desk and since I look young she might of thought I was a little girl or something. She was so mean and upset not sure why. When we are told here is the manager we expect better service nothing to what this one showed. She needs to get some training and should not treat people inhumane. Unnecessary.

I want everyone to know that the cash register charged me twice for the service H &R provided back in March 10, 2023 by mistake, and ' til today March 17, 2023 they still havenot refund my money.not refund my money. not

I think they are out of business.I have been a client for years. And no one at this office will return *any* of my calls and emails. This has been going on for 18 months.Warning to others... I cannot even get copies of my past personal and corporate returns from them. Mine were damaged in a cross country move.I tried a different office, but they did not respond either. And then a third office - who eventually told me to contact an office of theirs that was even further away.It would seem that someone should alert the IRS and FTB that these guys will not provide copies of past returns that they prepared.
