Terrible experience here. Have heard horror stories from other people that have banked with them in the past. When you go into the branch you're made promises of what they can do for you and they do not deliver. Even when processing payments from one b of a account to another. They still have issues. Advice would be if you don't know what you're talking about don't say anything.

With all the covid upheaval from the past 2 years, the branch is now open during business hours 5 days/week. The tellers are great, very friendly and doing their best with a small staff. I miss the old B of A before the remodel of about 10 years ago. The atmosphere was more welcoming. But I guess the changes were necessary from a financial and security viewpoint. I'm grateful to have a bank and ATM that I can walk to.

I see why 2 stars. Big line, 1 teller. This seems like the norm here these days. Teller was nice tho. I guess penalized for cash deposit or withdrawal.

After 20 minutes of waiting to withdraw my money the teller needed an override for a small cash withdrawal. The manager didn't come for 5 minutes had to throw in the towel and am closing my account to bank with someone who won't withhold my money from me.

Waiting for a banker but as soon as someone new comes in he starts helping her for a long time. I don't know why they earned 2 stars.

Empty branch. Guard opened the door for me so I didn't have to touch it Teller was super friendly & we both crinkled our eyes under our masks to show our happiness. You're so lucky I haven't had my Botox yet. Otherwise I'd be a mystery Quarters achieved, guard opened the door on my way out. Quick like a bunny. Mission accomplished

After seeing ALL the Bank of America's in my area get 1 star or at best 2 stars, I now know why. Thank god I don't have a account here. The customer service is the worst. I see I'm not the only one who thinks they have RUDE EMPLOYEES HERE. Shouldn't that TELL YOU SOMETHING & get some CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING FOR THEM? Walked in today, I just wanted to see if they could give me change for a $20. The man who came to see why we were there said "we have NO CASH here". I was confused as this is a Bank. You do have cash. I believe it was because we are not white. He never explained why, he was rude & I felt like I was stared down the moment we walked into the bank. How in the hell do you not have cash??!!!?? Absolutely HORRIBLE SERVICE & RUDE RUDE RUDE PEOPLE WHO THINK THEY ARE BETTER THEN ANYONE ELSE!!! We went to UNION BANK & people were so friendly & offered to help me with NO HESITATION! Don't bank here! I have San Mateo credit Union & they are welcoming & help, NOT LIKE THIS BOA.

I have been with Bank of America for over 30 years. I have my mortgage, 3 checking accounts and 2 savings accounts, and I have never been so disappointed in the Bank. This branch has been closed since March, while locations nearby are open, this one remains closed. I have a safe deposit box I cannot access without making an appointment. The bank has a phone number to call to make an appointment, but if you call that number it's the wrong number. If you go online to make appointment as they suggest from voice call, you cannot make an appointment because the bank is closed. So I waited on hold for the safe deposit team and I asked for a safe deposit box in an open banking center, and they said I need to go into the bank to request a new box at a different branch? They really don't make it easy. Why should I stay here when the Citibank in town is open snd able to meet my needs?

Run don't walk with your money to another bank. There were 4 tellers, all of whom have up and left without notice apparently. The one teller working is on loan from another branch (hence the longer than usual lines lately). There's a new manager but I hear she isn't from banking industry. The asst manager is still there and still NOT helpful at ALL! She will hide in the back until she is forced to come out. When she does come out all she ever says is "call customer service at the 800 number. She is unpleasant and clearly won't help the branch. She told me to call the 800 number and without fail I see her with others saying the same thing. I'm getting out in the very near future of B of A. p.s. the 800 number folks were pleasant but not helpful with the basic banking needs. Still waiting for promised documents. Apparently they're coming to me via a pigeon. I wish, they clearly were never sent!!!

So lets face it, unless its some sort of life altering experience, Banks at best are going to be a solid 3 star kind of affair. There are exceptions both good and bad. In the case of this BOA branch its the latter. First and foremost, oy vey its ugly. This is perhaps one of the finest examples of "Brutalist Architecture" you will run into. Is it a Gulag? Is it a bank? I mean seriously its like Stalin banged his fist on the table and said "BUILD ME A BANK" Stalinist architecture aside, the interior reflects the recent remodel most branches have undergone in recent years. Its inconvenient that they have blocked off the rear entrance and force those parking in the back to walk to the front. The Brutalist approach seems to founds its way to the customer service model as well. Its indifferent to say the least. First the wait. Yes there were two people ahead of us, but seriously 15 minutes? We had a few checks to deposit and wanted to make a cash withdraw. But instead of processing the withdraw we were directed to use the ATM. If I wanted to use the ATM I would have done so, but its exposed and its raining but no, we had to go back out and use it. If the customer service is crappy and they pay next to nothing in terms of interest, it may be time to move on from BOA and go full credit union.

I have accounts with Bank of America and Chase. I recently had to change my name on my accounts and I waited over 40 minutes to meet with someone to change it. After waiting that long the banker was rude and did not have good customer service. At chase I was in and out with 10 minutes. This branch and their customer service was very disappointing. I will not be banking with Bank of America in the future. I definitely would advise others to not go to this branch either.

I keep hoping I'm going to get good customer service here, but I'm always disappointed. I'd move my money but I'm not sure where to take my money. Open to suggestions... Nancy Miyasaki

The Bank of america in San Carlos is not a Community spirited bank. The attitude of Frankly Scarlet I don't give a dam is their attitude. Years ago this bank was involved in the community and it was a pleasure to do business there. No more!! Our non profit left there because of their broken promises.

Probably the WORST Bank of America EVER!! Their customer service is mediocre on a good day, if that. What really IRRITATES me is that NO matter what time of the day or what day it is there is ONLY EVER 1 teller helping the super long line that always accumulates. The management doesn't do anything in regards to the long line. Not to mention the teller who always looks irritated to help anyone. I wasn't going to review them in YELP, but then I saw that out of almost 50 reviews they only had 2 stars. The tellers always look so clueless. ONLY reason I come here is because it's so close to my office.. BofA REALLY needs to step it up A TON.

I never liked my relatives having this bank. Today I am more disliked with them than ever. I tried to deposit some $$ to my relatives account since she needed it today and I was told they don't do that anymore. It was cash going in to the account!!!!
