“Received a letter from Bank of America regarding monies I had left in a inactive account. The letter stated for me to call an 800 number to claim monies owed to me or the State of California would put it in the general fund ! The letter was very official with Bank of America letter head and logos. I've never dealt with BoA so I decided to visit the nearest branch to me in San Clemente on Ave. Pico, where I entered a beautiful branch inside and was greeted by Marcus Guerrero. This branch happens to be a business bank but Mr. Guerrero stated he was happy to assist me with the letter I brought along. After a few minutes searching hIs different systems I was nowhere to be found ! So he called his security department and they claimed it was a scam, which we suspected all along !
