Fired Up Carlsbad is such a great time! I've been twice now with friends and it's the most relaxing, enjoyable experience. It's a very good business model (you pay for the piece you want to paint and then everything is included, like the paints, and you can take as much time as you want to paint your piece). Annie was wonderful - so friendly and helpful. They also let you bring wine and snacks!

Anyone who loves painting pottery or wants a fun activity to do on an afternoon with family should come here! They have a beautiful new location on Avenida Del Mar downtown San Clemente with tons of space outside to sit and enjoy! The owner was SO incredibly sweet and gave my daughter a knit beanie that she was eyeing that was for sale - FOR FREE. We cant wait to go back.

I hardly ever post but was so upset. Literally just walked out of this store and had to review. Went in to pick up my adult daughter's item. The lady asked me what I was picking up and I said I didn't know what she painted, but I know the name it should be under. She says to me. "Well I don't know what your kid painted!"I then I asked "I am sorry, do you not have it under her name?" She then frustratedly and rudely looked at me and said "go talk to your kid I don't know what she painted and we don't keep track of names" Wow, NEVER doing business here again. SOOOO RUDE, and told me to get out of her store and leave as I stood there shocked. I understand that I could have asked my daughter before hand what she painted, I have been to plenty of places like this, where they just keep your name on your items. I was so shocked at the way she responded. Hope her day gets better.

This place used to be so cute. I've gone here for years with my kids...even hosted a girl's painting party here once. However, the last few times we've been, it's been a let-down. Albeit pricing is up everywhere, but this is now too overpriced. (Ex: A very small ceramic piece can run you $40.) That, coupled with poor customer service, which is the most disappointing part, makes for a place I will unfortunatley not be returning. It has become too casual, even for a mom-and-pop place. The employees are unprofessional, sharing too much with the customers while we're painting, using profanity and loose-talk in front of kids. Sometimes they look like they just woke up from a nap, or other times it feels like we're in their home, bothering them. I can chalk some of it up to a casual, beach-culture vibe, but the last straw for me was tonight when I called to inquire about hosting a birthday party there, at my 7 year old's request. At first the girl working hung up on me. When I called back, she blamed it on a bad phone connection (which I apologized for, even though she hung up on me). Then she rushed me into trying to reserve something right away. When I said I was just gathering availability and information for now, she rudely said she "didn't have time to chat unless I was ready to book". I didn't have a chance to ask about specific questions (answers which aren't listed on the website). She was completely condescending and cavalier. It's unfortunate because I do like supporting small businesses, but the overpriced product and unprofessional customer service I've experienced in recent years makes for a really disappointing turn of events.

Check out the New location on Del Mar downtown! In the San Clemente Apartments courtyard. Find you're creative side and make something cool. They help you every step. Ceramics are fun and relaxing. Stop in and try it out! Nothing to lose and memories to make...

Once you walk in into this location you are transported into a peaceful artistic dream. The backyard is a magical garden with little fairy and mushrooms but nothing beats the toilet garden. Can not wait to return for another chance to paint and relax.

Enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. Eclectic, home vibe. We came with a friend and my daughter painted one of the premade ceramics. Spent about 2 hours, plenty of time to paint and enjoy the process. Pricing includes the glaze + firing, which made it easy. Instructions were given and then kids are encouraged to get their own paint and supplies, perfect for independent types. Oh and there are adorable chihuahuas just cruising around ♥️

I had a wonderful time at firedup ceramics. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, and made me feel like I was at home hanging out with a friend. . The studio was cozy and relaxing, with a great selection of colors and tools. It has a great vibe! (Even the bathroom was great. I felt like I was at a friends house instead of being at a corporate chain store)I enjoyed every minute of my creative experience and I can't wait to go back. Firedup ceramics is a great place to have fun and express yourself. Highly recommended!

Such an eclectic and unique spot. The owner is super cool and made us feel at home. Prices were more than reasonable and we could pick as many colors as we wanted (and take as long as we wanted to paint). The whole place gives off good vibes and we will absolutely be back again!

A fun experience for the kids, that I would highly recommend!Found this gem when looking for a father son activity, and it was a blast.Priced comparably to alternatives however the atmosphere is much more interesting and eclectic than others. We spent a few hours painting a Christmas ornament and mug, and had a chance to chat with the owner in the process. She was very helpful and fun to be around. We are happy to support businesses like this, and hope they continue to provide our community the opportunity to learn about pottery and express ourselves creatively.
