It's a little confusing to get to because it's on a hill, but you rest very well. We sleep with the climate on without realizing it and we are very cold. Other than that, I recommend ?

Our go to hotel once a month in San Clemente. Staff is friendly, amicable and efficient. Rooms are large and very clean. Morning breakfast along with the servers are great. Food very good. Love the heated pool with fresh towels and lounges on the patio. Outdoor fireplace to sit by and eat food to go. Plenty of parking. Great location. Right off the freeway and near downtown and all the restaurants, shops and outlets.

Rooms: big and clean, but carpet...no nice view, but lots of parking, coffeemaker no hot water function or water kettle.
Safety: no safe inside the room, but at the front desk
Food and drinks: breakfast is good. Many great restaurants even in walking distance.

I stay here every year for our family reunions. I recognized Sales Manager James from my last visit as we were having coffee on the front patio and he talked with us for a bit. The lady who does the breakfast buffet is amazing and always talked with us making sure we were enjoying ourselves. Our housekeeper was on the ball and AMAZING. This hotel is by far the best in the area. It is always five star service and the property is always so clean and appealing. Can't wait for my next visit in 6 months. Thank you again for everything.
Rooms: The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Love the bedding.
Nearby activities: Downtown, Beach and the Pier

It is a little off the beaten path, up a steep hill behind a strip mall (you cant tell the strip mall is there during you stay as it is far below you) The common areas have a cozy feel and nice esthetic. The rooms are clean and like basically all Holiday Inn Expresses. I would stay there again.

Clean and comfortable hotel…only the location lets this HI Express down. Our checking was easy. The service staff is friendly. The breakfast area is clean and the food well prepared. The room was good sized and comfortable. Only the tiny tiny bathroom was a surprising let down. The hotel is not within walking distance of much. So be prepared to take a short ride to get to anything. We’d return.

Awesome service and clean hotel! Great breakfast as well! We arrived super late (I’m talking like 5am arrival) on our check-in due to road-tripping on Route 66 ? and the gentleman that check us in, extended us a courtesy late check out. This was quite a blessing to get a nice rest, some breakfast, and a shower in before heading out to our final destination. Most hotels these days don’t extend that courtesy, even if you haven’t used the room you prepaid for the entire night. I highly recommend staying here if you’re looking in the area. Will be booking again on our next road trip!
Rooms: Rooms are very clean and stocked with full size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and hand wash.
Nearby activities: Very close to the beach!
Food and drinks: Breakfast was excellent!

We arrived to a dirty Room! Definitely not expecting that as soon as you arrive theres an elevated and clean atmosphere. The employees were friendly and professional. We checked in to room 338 a Suite, as soon as i walked in i could smell that the room was not freshly cleaned being that i am a Hotel Manager in a Five star Five diamond resort.
This room was not thoroughly cleaned.
The floor had dust and debris. The living room couch and bedroom carpet were not vacuumed correctly, doors, windows, mirrors all had water spots and fingerprints and smears. The kitchen island was sticky and had salt crumbs. The bathroom toilet had poo stains in the bowl and the tub had very long hairs and the corners were not clean. I had also encountered flying bugs on the sheers and in the closet. The bed had a blood stain and was not made presentable. It was also pretty loud you could hear the freeway. I called the front desk to change our room or have somebody come clean it. The FD rep and the Supervisor came to the room to verify and offered to give us two queen bed rooms instead of another suite as they did not have anymore. I accepted as i have a family of 5 and could not take 1 queen room and hoped for the best. We were moved to the Second floor which was perfect as this is the lobby access area where you can get to the pool breakfast room and parking lot easily. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable and we were able to enjoy our stay. I believe it was an employee not performing on their job up to expectations that led to us having these issues and i would totally stay here again because the employees cared about our experience and turned around the negative into a positive experience.
Nearby activities: Very short drive to the beach and some hiking we had a 30 minute drive to the Orange County Fair.
Safety: All areas require key to access this is very important especially on elevators.
Food and drinks: The convenience of the store in the lobby, and the complimentary breakfast was very good.

Whenever I drive through this part of CA I stay at this hotel. Staff is always super cool and the place is clean inside and out. There is an outdoor basketball hoop. Pool is outdoor as well.
As others mentioned, the AC is a bit loud. It also is on or off, no fan speed setting. Not a big deal for me.
Careful when parking near the white walls, sprinklers come on and will hit your vehicle! Close windows or park somewhere else!

They give you “free breakfast” but charge $10 a day for parking. Which was not stated.
The a/c units are very loud in the rooms.
Pool was nice, it is heated but the restrooms are in the building and they don’t have a rinse off.
If you’re on the second floor, it gets very loud since that’s the main floor. Ice machines weren’t working.
Good location. Overall okay stay.
