The sign said to seat yourself, we sat down for a good 15 minutes, got looked at by 3 different members of the wait staff, and were never acknowledged so we left. Generally unwelcoming in appearance and attitude.

We have been coming to San Clemente for 30 plus years and always have stuck to the main drag. Just one block over you will fine the quant restaurant and pub called The Nomad. Ample indoor and outdoor seating creat a spacious dining experience. Our family enjoyed the outdoor deck while we snacked on wonderful appetizers and cocktails. A fantastic and relaxing experience for any nomad!

Nomads is awesome! The vibe is always great here. By far my favorite Poke Bowl I've ever had. You can stop in for a quick beer/drink or have a nice lunch on their patio. Inside has tables and bar seating as well.

Haven't been to this place since the first lockdown when they were the only place open. What a great place. Clean open vibe, great food. I had the TJ Dog, was outstanding. Food and drink prices are very decent for San Clemente.

No good tequila bar has margaritas on tap made with soda water. If you want mediocre food and meh margaritas made with soda visit this place. The only reason for two stars is the service far outreaches the pseudo-tequila bar vibe. When I asked for a Cadillac margarita without soda they informed me that their margaritas were in a batch mix. Upon tasting the margarita I'm not sure there was more than 1/2oz of liquor in it. San Clemente has a false notion of good food. It's a tourist town with tourist town food and Nomads is not the exception.

This is a fun spot located just off the beaten path in San Clemente. A wide variety of brews and tequilas to compliment their delicious pub type menu. Wait staff were friendly and professional. Sat outside on a gorgeous January afternoon. Nice place to pleasantly pass the time. I will be back.

Nomads was totally fine. The canteen is above the small hotel we stayed at while visiting, so we stopped in a few times go grab a drink and meet up with other friends. The vibe is comfortable, definitely casual, kind of beachy but in a more surfy way than cheesy sandals/seahorses/palm trees/resort way. Service was a little slow, but friendly and accurate. We enjoyed it as a pretty effortless bar hang, but it wasn't the atmosphere or menu I'd seek out if it took more effort than walking upstairs from our room. My personal star rating would probably be a bit lower because it's just not an experience I loved as much as some other spots in town, but I'm giving it a 4/5 all around because they definitely do a good job with the approachable vibe they're after.Parking: Nomads has a few designated spots by the entrance in the alley, but they're first come first serve and shared with the hotel that's below the canteen. There are several city lots adjacent to the canteen, but parking is competitive and signage should be considered seriously because some hours are limited and will result in towing and ticketing if signage is not observed. There is also street parking, but that is shared with other neighborhood businesses and residents and probably won't be available.
