I accidentally left my car parked in a tow zone over night (totally my fault and own that). However, the process of getting my car back was ridiculous. It happened on a Sunday and when I tried to immediately go and retrieve my car, they said if I wanted to get it I would need to be an extra $150 since it’s the weekend. I explained I don’t want to pay an extra day fee, and on google it simply shows they are open. They told me Sunday would not count as an extra day and it would simply be cheaper to wait and pick it up on Monday. So I do that, get there first thing Monday morning. Turns out they charged me for 2 full days anyway, plus $150 release fee just to actually get my car out of the lot.
For my car being there for not even 24 hours, it cost me $650. Only $300 was the actually tow charge. And the rest was just nonsense fees they added on. I understand needing to pay a fee and all that, but that is extremely excessive compared to other tow yard rates.
Highway Robbery.

Preferred towing has always been the kindest tow company I've dealt with. I called in the other day and the woman on the phone was honest and helpful

Today, I experienced an unsettling issue with my car's tire pressure, which was indicated by a warning sign on my dashboard. As a loyal AAA member for over 15 years, my immediate response was to call for assistance. Over the years, I've consistently had commendable experiences with AAA's services, which makes today's situation particularly disheartening and noteworthy. Upon reporting my issue, AAA delegated my case to Preferred Towing. Regrettably, the technician dispatched from this company was not up to the standard I've come to expect. He was curt and dismissive, asserting that there was no visible issue with the tire. Alarmingly, he did not undertake a thorough inspection of all four tires or check for any punctures that could be causing the low pressure. Instead, he arbitrarily chose a tire to inflate, neglecting to measure its air pressure. Later, I was dismayed to discover that he had inflated this tire to a dangerous 58 psi, while the other three tires remained at a standard 30 psi. This negligence could have put my safety, and the safety of others, at serious risk. I'm sharing this experience both as feedback to AAA and as a cautionary note to others in the community. It's crucial to remain informed and vigilant about the services we rely upon.

I wonder if the cops know about this place.. if your car gets towed and you can’t get it for 3 days expect to pay over $500! This is straight robbery. It’ll be cheaper for me to replace their front gate next time.Service: Car towing

ContactEd through AAA tow request for my Tundra with a bad starter. Very quick response. TC tried to start the truck before hooking it up to the tow truck. No luck. Efficiently hooked up my truck and towed to my mechanic. Thanks. Great service.

I had an absolutely awful experience with a preferred towing driver. I've literally never had a bad experience with a tow company before this. Damage was done to my car and when I tried to confront him about it, he got defensive, denied everything, then got offensive, even threatening to call the police on me. Seriously awful experience, I wouldn't use them if you can avoid it at all. Terrible customer service and they did a terrible job causing more trouble than it was worth.

They are liars and thieves. My friend barely survived a car accident and they wouldn't let her get her belongings out of her car with no valid reason. The only logical thing is that they stole her things already so of course they refuse! NEVER do business with them if you can help it.

No stars for this place. If you get into an accident and they tow your car they will not let you get your personal belongings out of it... Highly unprofessional, poor business practices And not legal. A persons personal property should be accessible after an accident even if the vehicle is in the tow yard!!

I got stranded in San Clemente. The driver shows up and tells me that she can't tow my truck because of a rack on the back of my vehicle. I told her AAA had towed my truck before with no problem, so all she does takes a picture of my truck and leave. I got on the phone with AAA, and they tried to get me another company to tow my truck and preferred towing keep on taking the call and not helping out. Instead, I get a call from a rude person with attitude from preferred towing asking me if I brought down my rack so they can tow me home. I explained to him this is not my house or property to leave anything behind, so he proceeded to tell me, sorry, can't help you find a 3rd party to tow you, and hung up on me. Because of this, I drove my truck home and caused a lot of damage to my truck with 3k worth of damages.

AAA SENT out Preferred, the driver Michael was super helpful and had a great work ethic. He was the only person that could figure out how to charge my bosses Mercedes. When that didn't work he towed it away. Well fast and the dealership can't find the car. I happened to have Michael's number on my phone still. I left him a message and he called right back and helped solve the mystery! Thank you Sir!
