I am amazed at the outstanding service I consistently receive from Schools First Federal Federal Union at the San Clemente Branch, 943 Avenida Pico. From warm greetings to all customers and flawless service on all things financial, Schools First is far superior to any other financial institution I have ever received services from. I want in particular, to commend Jose Fernandez at thisbranch, for the exception services he has provided over many years. In example, he has personally assisted me with understanding and using online banking, with utilizing ACH automatic payments for reoccurring monthly bills, with understanding and setting up rental accounts, with successfully resolving credit card disputes, and many other areas of financial services, Jose is one of those exceptional Member Services Representatives who consistently exceeds all my expectations in the most customer focused manner possible.

SchoolsFirst Federal credit Union, in San Clemente is such an efficient place to do your banking. Every time I come in I am welcomed by the first person you encounter. I never have had to wait in line and all of the tellers are so friendly. I appreciate their hospitality, and their aim to do such a good business. It is conveniently located in the Walmart shopping center.

I have banked at this CU for over 25 years and find them to have outstanding service and people. Wait time on phone service is too long but better than ALL major banks I have used in the past. San Clemente branch has gone above and beyond in my opinion. Thank you

Sometimes maneuvering financial matters can be frustrating and worrisome, especially if you are a senior citizen and didn't grow up using technology. It's so reassuring to be able to get help from the experts at the Schools First, San Clemente Branch. There we can always depend on great personal service every time we need it. Today it was Jose who expertly guided my husband through a problem that had been very frustrating for us. Jose is knowledgable, patient and so personable. He is indicative of the kind of service we are very accustomed to at this branch and we are very grateful to them.

I came into the branch three months ago to open an account...this decision was solely based on word of mouth from existing OCTFCU Members/friends. I did however read over the products and services offered by SchoolsFirst and felt becoming a Member had its exclusive benefits which is why I decided to join! Initially, I knew I wanted to open a savings account in order to begin my membership with SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union. When I asked the representative, that was assisting me that day, what the benefits were in opening a checking account (since I was planning to continue utilizing my Chase account as my primary bank), Jose did not really have much to say about the benefits nor that it was necessary to do so. Unfortunately, I discovered this week, when trying to set up Zelle on my mobile app, that I needed to have a checking account in order to access Zelle. So today, I opened a checking account online...which was a breeze; unfortunately, the process was quickly followed by annoyance when I tried to set up my Zelle options. After placing a call into the Member call center, I found out that I will have to wait ANOTHER 30 days before I can take advantage of Zelle. At this time, I am just really disappointed and unhappy with the service that was provided, or lack thereof. Throughout my visit at the branch, I felt very lost as I had to ask for nearly everything. Instead of being guided through the process, as a new Member, I felt there was not much direction and Jose seemed distracted. Once my savings account was open I had a couple additional tasks to take care of, utilize the coin machine in order to deposit money into my new account. I figured I could figure out the coin machine myself so was sent on my way; however, when it came to navigating from the coin machine to the teller line, I felt like the only person in the room. While Jose and another employee were chatting and laughing at the front check in desk...it wasn't until Hannah acknowledged me and greeted me with a smile, that I felt like someone actually saw me and was going to offer to help. Overall, first impression tells me that customer service and benefit knowledge needs improvement at this branch.

Came in to get my banking figured out between Chase and SFCU. I was helped by Mia. She was great, clear about the process and walked me through the app to make sure I got it set up right. She was super helpful, efficient, and smiled the entire time. Great Member Service! ASK FOR MIA!!

We LOVE Schools First CU and have been with them and formerly OCTCU for over 17 years. My two teen boys also have debit cards with them. Not once have we had a problem with this bank and love the new San Clemente location. All of the staff are so friendly, they are always professional, smiling and greet us twice, once at the front desk and at the back counter with the tellers. One of the tellers knows my son from depositing his monthly paychecks and made sure to tell me how polite he is when he goes by himself. We feel like family here and I cwould give them 10 stars if I could!!!

I hate Schools First. They don't accept my deposits. I might as well keep my money under my mattress!

Such a poor bank. I have watched them decline since OCTFCU. The service is horrible. They issued a CC increase without my consent. And getting customer service on the phone takes hours. It's worse than Wells Fargo

Worst customer service ever. Went to cash a check. Took 30 mins. Absoutley ridiculous. Get employees that know what to do.
