I like to thank the staff today for going above and beyond! Seems my German Shepherd Kona has developed a fear of the veterinary building. Fought going in, high anxiety once in Slightly comical but not. You all did such a great job of reassuring her and helping her destress. Thank you for your compassion and professionalism. Great experience

First rate care! We just started there a week ago and already feel like our fur baby is truly cared for and lived. Dr. Snyder is amazing as is the entire staff! So relieved to know there are there and so close.

We were loyal patients since it opened, but since Dr Whipple left and they had staff turnovers the service greatly declined. Unfortunately, we were forced to change and move our goldens to another vet office with excellent front desk response.

Talega underwent new ownership recently and it has gone completely downhill. I used to really like this Animal Hospital and the services provided; however the new veterinarian wants to do things her way and isn't a very good listener. Staff is horrible about calling regarding appointments, cancellations, services, etc. Plus, the turnover in staff from the front office to groomers, speaks volumes. They simply make excuses for everything and don't try to solve problems. I do not recommend this business. Very sad to see a thriving business go downhill.

Didn't feel we received the best care here and have moved on to a better vet. Long wait times, very little explanations, and no preventative care was taken for my dogs underlying issues.

After 12 years here it was time to move on. Not sure why there is so much vet turnover here, but it's like starting over at every visit. The biggest reason we moved to another practice was that you cannot get an appointment without a week or more wait. My dog had an itchy, red eye and I called in the morning and they told me nothing available for 9 days. They expected my poor dog to suffer in discomfort for 9 days. SC Vet had never seen my dog before, brought her in for a 15 minute visit and sent us off with eye drops. Six months later I get a new puppy and it develops a cough. I call for an appointment and am told 7 days to wait. 7 days!!!! Really? My puppy will be dead in 7 days if it's kennel cough. Once again SC Vet saved the day and we had antibiotics in 15 minutes. Sorry Talega Animal hospital. Something is seriously wrong.

This week, Talega Animal Hospital - Dr. Stanaland and staff - saved our dog's life. We desperately rushed her in at closing with a severe reaction, not breathing, and Dr. Stanaland, Julia, and staff stayed long after closing to stabilize our girls' life. Later, when she was stable, we transferred her to an overnight canine ICU, and Dr. Stanaland called ahead to coordinate care. The Overnight ICU said Talega AH's decisions and care definitely saved her life. She came home the next day and is well. We've always had the best of care at Talega AH, but this was unbelievable. Highest recommendations for every-day vet care, and over the top praise for caring that much to stay that late to make all the right clinical decisions and to save our girls' life!

They have a totally different staff now including front office. Dr. Whipple is no longer there. Dr. Caitlin Snyder is very pleasant, professional and very thorough. Lauren the groomer is wonderful! My issue is that they are very short staffed and not as responsive as I would like. It's very hard to get in promptly for an appointment also which is unacceptable when your pet is sick. The front office girls are not very efficient and do not follow through with tasks without prompting and phone calls from me. I have been wondering if they even care about my pet! I was told by one of the front office girls that they are short staffed and I should understand that. I told her that this is not my problem as I am paying for a service from them. My dog is rapidly loosing weight and I feel like they (front office girls) did not see the urgency in helping him. * In response to the message from Robyn, office manager, I would like to say that I have no complaints about Dr. Snyder. As I said, she was very pleasant, professional and very thorough in her treatment of my dog. My complaints are about the front office staff and their lack of caring, urgency and professionalism.

After 11 yrs with Telega AH , I'm calling it quits. New ownership, management and staff are constantly confused and staff are not in a good mood or frustrated. This has very little to do with Covid-19. Try them out, who knows you may be satisfied, just my perspective

This place has gone down hill recently. Have been going there for years and am very disappointed with last visit. They did not even review dogs records as to what was current and what was needed before giving an estimate of services for visit. 1 Dog was current on everything except for vaccine and flea meds. They did not know that and were going to add on blood blood work. 2nd dog had to have full physical and vaccine. Vet said they thought heard heart murmurer and said needed to go to specialist to get eco and made it sound like life and death event. Knew she had a faint murmurer and have been watching her. They also no longer do non anesthesia dog teeth cleaning. Now only do with anesthesia, which my do has never had to do before. Am definitely looking for new vet since Dr, Whipple is no longer there.

I'm visiting a friend and am helping her out finding a good pet hospital. Some of these reviews are appalling! I am especially saddened by Jr. R review about their dog being turned away in the morning and then the dog passes away in the afternoon. Very sad sad story. Of course no one will ever know but the fact that this hospital had the chance to check up on that dog but didn't is very disheartening! That review alone makes me stay clear away from this hospital! Maybe others will stay away too.

My pet dog Buddy was sick all day and night so my daughter brought him to this vet around 7am the next morning. This vet didn't care to look at Buddy since he didn't have an appointment. 4pm the same day our Buddy passed away. He might have had a chance to live if this vet would have at least take a look at him. RIP Buddy - the Best dog in the world! Reply: My daughter was not given other vet options! It will always be in our minds and heart that if Buddy was seen he will still be with us right now. Your business didn't give Buddy a chance! NO HEART!

Horrible place. Need a shot for my puppy and they want an extra 70 dollars just so the doctor can meet my puppy and have a "relationship" with her. That's complete b******* honestly. Now my puppy still hasn't got her shot cuz this place wants 100 dollars for nothing
