You won't believe this act of kindness and a god shot of customer service. Rented trailer in Tucson - great experience. It was a motorcycle trailer that was used for a purchase of a bike in California and bring back to Arizona. I was staying Dana Point, Ca. When I got to the hotel no room for the trailer - WOW - Bummer. I called Cindy at the San Clemente U-Haul ``310 E Avenida Pico, San Clemente, CA 92672 - we will store it no charge- their hours are to 7:00 p.m. Driving from Green Valley 7 .5 hours in the rain and arrived at 7:01. I was greeted by Ashley with a big smile and said Cindy said you were coming. I brought them bagels and cream cheese this am -- for their kindness. Trailer stored 1/22 to 1/27. I hope someone in upper management tells Cindy and staff that they are an untouchable example of customer service. Customer of U-Haul for 30 years - Gary B

I went into this U-Haul store to buy some packing items. I spent $80 and the large lady that helped me was so rude to me. Absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. I suggest that if she can't do her job by being at least, just kind to customers that she should find another job. I was triggered so badly by this !!&!#* that my goal is to get her fired (which I obviously won't pursue). People need to understand that everybody's going through something and to simply show a little bit of kindness goes a long way. This gross, rude woman failed. Condescending.!!!!

The staff was super helpful here. I moved down from the Bay Area and the team was much easier to work with compared with up north. Rented a storage unit, they answered all my questions, easy to get in and out of there

The absolute worst individual, Cindy Rogers, to do business with unpleasant unprofessional. I let the first two bad experiences go with her just had the third she is a nightmare, and the owner to boot do not do business here. Really feel sorry for her boys

We received a call from the manager addressing our concern. He reached out within 24 hours aside from the tire issue we were able to rent out the equipment and got to our destination okay! Really appreciate how promptly our roadside assistance was and how quickly the issue was handled!

Rented a U-Haul from this location to tow my Audi Q5. Upon pick up we were briefly shown how to unclip the belts when mounting the car and did not pay attention to the tires! About 50 miles into the trip we were alerted by other vehicles as sparks where coming out on the right hand side of the trailer, upon inspection one of the tires had completely come off and the metal was rubbing on the cement. It was 10 pm and we were stuck on the side of freeway with low visibility we did not notice haw bald the other tires were. We called roadside assistance who promptly dispatched someone and fixed the popped tire. When I dropped off the trailer today I notice how bad the condition of the tires were, I'd assume these get inspected before being allowed to hitch for a 400 miles trip. This location could've costed me a lot of money had the issue caused any damage to my car but overall it delayed my trip and put my life and vehicle in danger. I spoke with a representative and was told I would receive a call however have yet to hear from someone. I would not come here or recommend this U-Haul location.

My husband and I have worked with U-haul in San Clemente MANY times. Every interaction has always been professional and pleasant, quick and efficient. Then today Cindy and the team went above and beyond for me. They stepped up to complete the electrical install on my hitch (which was started in Stockton, long story, but that U-haul was wonderful also) AND Cindy went out of her way to see if she could find a trailer for my move from her location so that I wouldn’t have to drive an hour to get one. WOW. I would happily recommend and work with this U-haul and any other U-haul based on the great service I have received. Thank you!

I brought my sprinter van here to fill an onboard tank which runs my fridge, stove top, water heater etc. The attendant, whose name tag said “owner”, was filling it and I realized he had not opened the relief valve. He then reluctantly did only to realize it was too late. It was already over-filled. He should have known that this must be open to determine when to stop flow of propane on rv tanks. So, long story short, trip ruined and regulator damaged which cost about $450 in parts and labor to repair. Good thing it wasn’t hot because expansion could have been catastrophic. Inexcusable filling propane without proper knowledge or training.

At first the staff here were wonderful. We had a bad experience with the truck we rented as it caught fire, and we were stuck on the side of the road for multiple hours with young children in an area we were not familiar with. They very kindly offered us a partial refund to compensate for our time where we were stuck on the side of the road and for the inconvenience. Due to it being a military move we had asked if the refund could be placed on a separate card as we had used a government charge card to pay and needed to make sure it would balance back out correctly with how we pay the card off. It was difficult to get to be able to switch the card but they figured it out for us and said we should see it in our account soon. It has now been almost 2 months and we still haven’t received our refund, I continually called and at first was helped but now no longer receive calls back. They have claimed it has been sent, yet my bank has looked and can see no attempts at the deposit and it does not show in my account. I have asked for the finance depts number and was not given it and was told they would look into it for me just to not be called back. I asked if they could reissue it either to the original card and we would attempt to figure it out with that bank on our own, or in the form of a check if I provided proof that the funds never came to my account. Which I was told wasn’t necessary and that they would call me back-never received that call back or my refund. I understand it can be frustrating hearing from someone daily but when promised a refund that hasn’t been received and my bank confirming it isn’t an issue on my banks end you would think they’d get to the bottom of it or give me the direct number for the department which is handling the refund. It’s hard to trust a company that doesn’t fulfill a promise to compensate for the inconveniences caused by a critical malfunction on one of their trucks.

Fantastic service. I’ve rented a lot of Uhaul’s and this was by far my best experience. Cindy was fantastic and Sarah was incredibly helpful and knowledgable. Do yourselves a favour and rent from this location, you won’t be disappointed

I'm not one to write reviews but was compelled to write one here. My family member rented a unit at San Clemente U-Haul a couple of years ago, so I've had the opportunity to have contact with them on several occasions over the years. Each time, they were always very professional, and helpful. It wasn't until my family member had to give up their unit, that I really saw just how much San Clemente U-Haul truly cares about their customers. Jeannette went above and beyond. My family has owned U-Hauls and Self Storage facilities out of the area and I'm very impressed at the level of customer service Jeannette and others at San Clemente U-Haul have shown. I can't thank them enough. I'm especially grateful to Jeannette. You're the absolute best!If you want the best, definitely go to San Clemente U-Haul!
