Horrible customer "service". Car smelled of smoke, they refused to do anything about it. "Supervisor" would not listen at all and in fact talked over my husband when he tried to ask a question. Some weird rule that if you are a local, you cannot rent an SUV. Long wait time at the desk. With so many choices to rent a car, go with any company besides this one.

I am very disappointed in this company. I booked a rental car in February before the Covid-19 pandemic and due to these circumstances I will not be able to use this reservation. Because at the time I chose the pay now for the lowest rate, the company said that I cannot get a refund and in order to not loose my money I need to book another reservation. I have no idea when I will be able to travel due to being in the high risk category for Covid. I have tried to contact the company, but do not get a direct response from them. Instead after several emails I got a response from CarRentals.com. This was there reply: Make a new reservation through CarRentals.comChoose the same supplier (Advantage ).Must be for the same amount or higher ( 178.86 USD ).It has to be a Pre-Paid reservation. Please note that the 're-booking' option is only available up until the pickup date of the original booking. This not an option for me until we have a vaccine for this pandemic or have made travel totally safe. I find it very hard to believe that either of these companies cannot find it unfair not to make a total refund. All other aspects of my travel such as airlines and hotel have made refunds! Do not use either of these companies! They are not customer friendly.

We rented from Advantge online and paid up front for the rental and insurance, only owing a small portion to the counter. The attendant tried to up sell us Until it was uncomfortable. I said I wanted our regular reservation. She added on things anyway, like double insurance and roadside and charges us double. I complained and the company did not respond positively. I tried to dispute through my credit card to no avail. It has been the worst rental experience I have had. I should have stuck with my regular company instead of trying to save a few bucks. Hard lesson learned.

Renting for Advantage Rent A Car was very efficient, affordable and provide. Very friendly service. I was very please with my experience with Advantage, and will rent from them again on my next trip.

**ZERO STARS** DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. They hook you with a low rate, and up charge you 5 times the original amount. I needed an all wheel drive and rented a mid size SUV from Denver airport location. You can not book and all wheel drive, and there is no option to request one. I pinged the on line agent and they told me based on the location they have a lot of all wheel drive vehicles. After waiting 40 minutes to get to the counter, the agent told me they did not have any all wheel drive vehicles left in that class. I repeated what the online agent told me and he said "I understand, let me take car of it." I was already late for may appointment and trusted that "I will take care of it." meant the getting out the door and not reading the fine print would have been good to go. NOT - my reservation was for $137 and I was charged $577! This was for one class higher and when I booked the same class would have been $157... Customer service did nothing!!! RENTER BEWARE!!!

I have to give Advantage credit for providing good service and being kind to customers. It was my first time renting from Advantage since I normally stick with a different rental company but their rates for the period I vacationed in San Diego were higher and I opted to go with Advantage for a change. And it was a good choice. The check-in was just normal procedure and done in timely manner. The guy who showed me to my first car was kind enough to switch it for a different one that had leather seats and a sunroof.And I love driving a car with a sunroof in a city like San Diego. The return was easy and quick. I can truly say that I had a good experience. Good job, Advantage.

My experience was very pleasant at this location. Shuttle drop me off there was nobody in line and one agent working the counter. She got me out fairly quickly and I ended up with clean 2020 SUV. I rented from them at the several different locations and it could be hit or miss depending on a line and how many people working. Maybe I got lucky on this one. Prices are better and it seems to be a gamble what kind of service and wait you'll have pending on location or time and day of pickup. 5 star for San Diego experience. By the way San Diego airport has top notch rent a car center.

I had to rebook my flight due to illness for the next day, same time. I had made a reservation through Priceline for a fixed non refundable price. I called Advantage to let them know that I was coming in the next day, landing at 10:40am. They said they couldn't hold a car for me past 11am. I asked if they could just give me 10 extra minutes to get through the airport, pick up my luggage and catch the shuttle to the car rental place. They told me that no, they could only hold the reservation for 24 hours. I asked if they could just give my 10 min., and they kept repeating that they only hold the reservation for 24 hours. I asked if I could speak to a supervisor, the representative said he would check and then told me he was the supervisor and there was absolutely nothing he could do. I asked for the for the direct number to the airport location and he told me there was no direct number and when he communicated with them, it would take 2 days for the local place to respond. I have never come across a company so inflexible, so unwilling to work with you. It takes 2 days to get a response from a location? There's really no direct line?

So, I have rented 3 crafting them over the past 3 months. The have the best value. I am not a fan of diesel cars, but I am warming up. All my rentals have been Volkswagen diesels. Best deal at the airport.

The customer service agent was polite, fast check in. The car was in excellent condition. Very happy with Advantage rental, will definitely use again.
