A fun location. Food was diner style. Large portion on the cinnamon roll and biscuit. The cinnamon roll could use more frosting. The gravy was a bit spicy, like it had red pepper in it.

Calling all foodies! This hidden gem of a cafe has an incredible menu with tons of options, just like you can see in the pics I shared. We tried the chilaquiles with tinga, eggs Benedict, waffles, and biscuits, and everything was fantastic! You should definitely check it out! This super cool cafe has something for everyone!

I thought the food was horrible and bland. Got the corned beef hash with hash browns and the hash clearly came from a can and the hash browns seemed previously frozen. Somehow the hollandaise sauce was gritty too. One poached egg was extra runny and the other was hard boiled. No idea how this place has such high ratings from others. The only reason the review is not 1 star is because the service was very good.

Love this place, so many options to choose from, there is usually wait time but we try to get there early. They have fast service, great coffee and really good food.

Took our name and I think they lost it. People kept being taken in before us.

This is such a cool little place! The service is friendly. The atmosphere is an eclectic mix of the most amazing memorabilia. The food came out piping hot and was so good. I'm definitely coming back when I get the chance.

I ate here for the first time today, and let me tell you, this is some of the best food I have ever had at some of the lowest prices in San Diego.I have never been just gobsmacked by the speed, efficiency, and sheer quality of service like I was this morning. My waiter, Thomas, was so on top of things that I didn't even have time to ask for refills, as they were already coming out. He was so good, I had to call the manager Eddie over, and he was just as good as Thomas and the service. He told me they took over the location 3 years ago and that they have 3 more resteraunts in the San Diego area, if they're anything like this place, you'd be making a good decision going there too.I had 3 meals worth of food between my fiancé and I, for less than $50. That is absolutely unheard of in the current economy. The portions were absolutely Flinstonian as well, I expected them to bring out a rack of dinosaur ribs after they brought out an overflowing plate of biscuits and gravy for $6.50.The atmosphere is straight out of "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" and if Guy Fieri is reading this, why haven't you come here yet?In short, as a man from Iowa who knows good "stick to your ribs" food. This place even competes with the prices back home.If you're in the market for breakfast, anywhere but here is a terrible decision and you're missing out.

I haven’t been to this place in years, maybe decades, having moved two miles west to University Heights. Although the vintage vibe was more my style in the 1980s, it’s nicely done and the restaurant appears fresh with recent paint inside and out and new floors and booths. The menu is extensive, so plenty to choose from for breakfast. (They also have lunch but I didn’t focus on those options.) My partner had a short stack combo and I had a veggie omelette sans green peppers, plus fruit and a biscuit. My partner remarked that his pancakes were very hot. Apparently he’s used to them not being so “right off the grill” and he was very pleased. My omelette was more like a scramble in an omelette shape, but delicious and hot. The biscuit was huge, fluffy and hot. The service was attentive and our waiter was very friendly and there when we needed something. We don’t go out often for breakfast but this place is a winner and we will be back!Parking: There are several construction projects in the area now so many spaces had No Parking/Tow Away signs. We had almost given up when someone pulled out. Parking meters are annoying when you can’t read the screen and ours took at least three quarters before registering any time. Normally I would not think the parking would be this difficult.
