I absolutely adore this place! Everyone is so pleasant and helpful! Upon my return to my hometown of San Diego last summer (May 2023) I was homeless and sleeping in a tent in a canyon behind the Blind Center on Upas Street. I needed an outfit for a job interview, but had no money so I thought to go here and ask for assistance. The ladies gladly gave me an outfit and to this day I still have that job. True angels are employed at this establishment.

Best Thrift Store in San Diego because it's so attractive, clean and has top-notch merchandise and friendly workers. The shop is small, especially compared to thrift stores like Good Will, Salvation Army, Rock Thrift, etc. It has sections for houseware, art, shoes, cards/DVDs/books, jewelry (in locked cases), and mostly clothes. Selection and variety of items just depends on the donations received. Overall, the prices are very reasonable and less expensive than Good Will, Salvation Army, etc. I am pleased with the "designer" rack which has brand name clothes for a huge discount, i.e., dress in good condition that would be over $100 sells for $20. This place has 2 dressing rooms (unlike Salvation Army which has none). Clothes are organized by category and size (unlike Salvation Army which organizes by color, not size). I have bought arts/crafts, wine charm, kitchen utensils, children's and women's clothing, and cards. The negatives are that it's hard to find street parking (which is metered) and the store has limited hours (Wed to Sat from 11am to 3pm). Unlike other thrift stores, this place is run entirely by volunteers. I am told that it has 200 "members" (volunteers). Based on several visits in a few weeks, all the volunteers were women, except once, where a male was at the register. I found them all to be very pleasant and nice. This nonprofit raises funds to donate to eight different programs in San Diego. Its biggest fundraiser is this annual bazaar, which I have yet to check out.

Very clean, nicely merchandised, and run by all volunteers. Profits from this thrift store, serve the most needy in our community. Revenue is spread among eight philanthropies. I always find some thing when I go to the thrift store. And the prices are amazing.

A thrift store that runs on heavy sighs and eye rolls. Lots of great stuff but don’t dare ask anyone a question. You’d think you were asking the personnel to drive you to LAX! I will never walk in this store again. Rudeness and animosity abounds! No, thank you!

Best thrift shop ever! This is a fabulous store with so many great finds and the friendliest volunteers. This non profit is completely run by a group of dedicated volunteers who commit their time and energy to fund multiple programs that directly benefit children and families.

I check out the Assustance League shop regularly (but they're only open Weds-Sat) and always seem to find something I didn't know I needed. Clothing, jewelry, household. I even bought a picture for my living room. Nice ladies run it.

Sweet clean well stocked thrift store with with a heart, well situated in Hillcrest. Very well curated items. Great jewelry and interesting art, of course hit or miss, which is the fun of thrifting. The thrift store is what brings in funds for all sorts of outreach this group does in the community and they are 100% volunteer! Buy up, and feel great about donating your gently used items to them. Story: I went in the store to donate a few items. My 91 year old mother was waiting in the car in the parking lot behind the building. I found a very nice quilted jacket that I thought she would like and I asked one of the helpful clerks if she could hold the item for a while as I got my mother. I mentioned that my mom moves slowly. The clerk volunteered to bring the jacket to the car so my mother could try it on! What amazing service, as my mother is indeed not very ambulatory. The jacket was a hit! They are rockstars for being so helpful!

Place keeps changing its hours and it's so annoying. I tried going there 4 times and I couldn't cause they closed early. Only open 4 hours a day 4 days a week so plan accordingly

Very quaint, clean, well lit and with a super friendly staff! A little of everything but without the trash and useless broken items of some of the thrift shops.

One of the best Thrift Shops around, very clean and a well organized selection of clothing and other assorted items. All volunteer staff are helpful and friendly.
