The car return experience at LAX was amazing. Very quick, well signposted and complimentary bus to the terminal with extremely helpful staff was excellent.4 stars because the car we got was not cleaned properly after the previous use. The interior especially was dirty ( picker up from San Diego)

Wouldn’t recommend this location and Avis in generalThe car was pretty dirty at a pick up time and the AC didn’t work as we found out laterWe requested the refund, but Avis rep declined it and offered 20% off for the miserable day with no AC

I presented my passport, I am from Mexico and licensed the credit card. In less than 10 minutes, they delivered the rented unit to me.And when I delivered I only delivered keys and a full tank without problems for me, a good experience.

Easy in and out. Cars were not as cleaned up as the airport but with the usage and turnaround, I can see it’s hard to do. Would rent here again.

Honestly this is the best avis place in san diego!! And Jake and Cooper are the best guys there!! Helped me out so much and did me a HUGE favor because the airport avis place was going to charge me a arm and leg to drive the car back home around 4000$ but i called them and they had the perfect plan to help me out only cost me 405$!!! Highly recommend this place!!

We made a last min rental the night before online. Cooper was super awesome the next day at getting us settled. Though a bit shorthanded (Sunday morning, of course it makes sense), he was extremely communicative, professional, and just overall awesome in getting us set up. He was thorough and made sure we were fully taken care of, even to think ahead for us on how to do airport drop off instead.Returning was straightforward and was met with an equal experience with Troy on Mon 12/18 (I think that was his name, but please correct if not!). All in all, this place is great with wonderful staff who took care of their customers.

If you're late, they'll give away your car with no notice and no remorse. Not even a "sorry for the inconvenience" or a "wish we could help". I didn't expect them to fix the issue but a little compassion would've been nice.

Picked up the car in San DiegoA bit shocked to find the tank empty.Was told to just put in fuel and I wouldn’t be charged when I brought it back empty.Returned the car and was charged for a full tank. I had a photo showing the fuel and starting mileage.Thankfully the office reversed the fuel charge without questionOtherwise very smooth pick up and drop off

I was scheduled to bring a car back at 1135. I got there at around 1140 to drop off, no one was there. There was a sign in the window, stating "back in 15 minutes". I waited 30 mins and no one came. I called customer service and they rerouted me to the airport drop-off. I was charged 112 in fees. I called the office today and spoke with Cooper to resolve the fees, he had no customer service etiquette and was completely unprofessional. I will be writing a letter to corporate to get this fiasco resolved the right way.

total waste of time if you are looking for a uber car to drive for rideshare. Found a place in rent a car for uber in chula vista that handled my needs in 30 minutes vs avis that told me a price then i went down there and wasted one hour and a half to find out the price was way higher than expected!

Worst experience ever!! Never make the mistake of booking with them!!! The previous 1 star reviews are absolutely worth it.The rude attitude of the branch toward their customers is a major turn off. They didn't have the car or class of car we had requested. Wanted us to upgrade with a rude attitude of take it or leave it! Would have upgraded but the dude's attitude prevented us. So we said scr*w you dude and went to another location and got the right service and vehicle. So annoying!!

Friendly service. Got an upgrade on my original car selection. I always pre-pay to get the lowest rate. The only thing, and this happened last year too when I rented from them, I explicitly tell them that I will return the car full so don't charge me for gas. They say, ok. I returned my car full (actually more full than when I received it) and yet again, on my final e-bill that is sent to me an hour later, they charged me $25 for "fuel service." I have to then call customer service and they apologize and refund the charge. But it would be so great if they just didn't charge me in the first place. This same thing happened to me last year at this Avis. Sometimes I think they don't look at the gas meter or don't turn the car on completely so that it fully registers as full. And then they charge you, and then you have to spend your time calling customer service. I'll most likely rent from them again as they are the closest car rental place to me and other than the wrongful fuel charges, I haven't had any major problems with them.

Horrible horrible place! Do not rent from them.I called booked a car there went to pick it up and they didn’t have it. They wanted to put me in a Tesla that was $100 more and I said I dont want to pay $100 More.. I wanted a small little car for the price we agree. Ugh didn’t care and said i was out of luck. Don’t go there!!!
