Very bad customer service, extremely poor communication, and eventually they gave me an expired tags car, got pulled over and delayed and my cousin has to fail he driving test for this poor service, not recommended at all.

I’m trying to shout out to a kid named ENOCH JACKSON, at the San Diego Avis return rental car place. I have cancer, just had surgery and couldn’t even unload my car. This kid SAVED MY LIFE..!! He unloaded and carried my bags for me and was in general - the very best employee I’ve EVER met. Whoever reads this - please remember ENOCH JACKSON. THE BEST OF THE BEST. THANK YOU…!!

I had car pick up on Dec 24 at 12:00 pm and store closing hour was 1:00 pm on Saturday.I called the Avis Miramar at 11:30 am but no one picked up the call and the call was routed to Avis customer service who ensured that our car will be available for pick up anytime before 1:00 pm.We reached office at 12:25 pm and we meet Miguel who was closing the garage doors. He mentioned office is closed and system is shut down, he can’t help us with our rental car.Avis customer service is not reliable, we booked our rental car month before for it planned vacation but denied pick up.We had to go through last min hassle of booking more expensive car and so much pain right before our vacation

Very poor customer service from Susanne. Was charged additional 160$ as miscellaneous for a previous rental. When asked about the receipt and reason while visiting the location in person, I was asked to call the customer service while they are the ones who charged me. The service rep over phone has no clue of this extra charge anyways. Stay away from this place. I ll never my rent my car from this AVIS center again.

Very poor customer service. The lady said credit card”bounced” when trying to put the deposit on my prepaid reservation. Same card was used for reservation and bank said they do not see any transaction being made. The lady looked super confused and most likely did something on her end. Later on she just refused to try other options and said come tomorrow ! No cooperation with the customer. I had to call Avis to cancel reservation

We picked this place cause it's closer to our house but the staffs here are not so friendly at all. The guy with a grumpy face and the lady asked us to step outside because they're not ready.The one in La Jolla area, even though it's farther away but the staff is super helpful and friendly. Never coming back here again.

The lady at the counter was super non-chalant & rude. We were looking to exchange cars because of ants & she didn't seem to care at all. Not going to this avis again.

Rented a few cars here recently, and although the facility is very, very run down every employee was super helpful, even during hurricane Hilary! They went the extra mile for us, and I really appreciated how they helped us both times.Management should put some money into the property for them and the customers.

Not even worth one star. The place looks cheap and run down. Unfriendly staff. Make sure read all the fine print because they have no problem taking your money up front and then refuse to rent to you when you get there. Then they make you call for a refund that will take three to five days. But that is not there problem. I literally had a supervisor tell me that. Poor customer service. Lack of caring. Will never rent from Avis. There are plenty better companies. Never have i had issue with Enterprise or Hertz. First and last experience with Avis. But they don't care I am only one person.

The best Avis car rental location in San Diego. This site usually has the best prices. They have always had our desired class of car available whether planned months or even a few days in advance. The employees are very friendly and service is very fast and efficient.

The rating should be a 0. I would not recommend going to the store. The manager is mean to his own representatives that work at the store. The manager treated other staff better than the front desk representative. After waiting for 20 minutes, his staff parked in front of our rental car and when asked to move it, he then took the keys, went back into the office, and proceeded to run the license plates on the vehicle that I rented fussing to his associated that I had two rental cars. In actuality, one person picked up a new one way rental and the other person was returning their round trip. His customer service is the worst and the way that he treated the representative illustrates why the reviews are so low. He literally told her to get into the office like he was a child and fussed at her for renting to us.

I reserved a vehicle with a week of advance and did the pre-check online so I would'nt have to wait long to get the rental. When I arrived the vehicle wasnt ready. They gave me a vehicle smaller than what I had reserved and paid for. The vehicle wasnt detailed and had no gas. It had large stains in the front and rear seats. The truck latch was broken and wouldnt close right. The vehicle also needed an alignment as it pulled heavily to the right. I rented the vehicle as a one way trip from San Diego to Dallas so dealing with this issues was unpleasant.

Don’t rent from here. The manager is rude and racist. After renting us a vehicle he accused us of stealing our personal car. Very disorganized and unfriendly.
