Please do not use this Bank of America location!
I went in on Friday to cash my check at this branch because it was the closest. The representative who helped me had a very strange attitude. She said the check couldn’t be cashed and would need to be deposited instead, and that the funds would be available the next day. I found this odd, as this had never been required before.
I agreed, thinking I could use the money the following day. However, the representative never mentioned that she was placing a hold on the check. Now I’m being told the funds won’t be available until April 11th. I know for a fact that there are sufficient funds on that check. I have a mortgage to pay, and now this worthless bank has made things unnecessarily difficult for me and my family.
If I had known that a hold could be placed, I would have gone to Wells Fargo—where they’ve either cashed my checks or made the funds available by the next day.

There is a young brown lady at cashier (the youngest they have, making her easy to recognize) who consistently displays an unpleasant attitude toward many customers.
I’ve observed her being unpleasant to a friend and other patrons which is disappointing and unacceptable.
When working with the public, basic courtesy and professionalism should be a given.
I frequently visit this location and generally find the staff to be friendly and welcoming. However, it takes just one bad one to put it down.
If she’s unable to treat customers with respect and care, this is not the right role for her!

I just opened an account online and went to access it because my check was deposited there and it says my account is not available online. I set the damn thing up online of course when you call this branch, they never answer the phone? I was going to move my plus business account over, but this is the final indicator that I cannot afford to make this mistake. What kind of a banking institution does not provide 24 hour customer service for mobile banking?
I got a reply that said to reach out to Twitter for help. I did they sent me to schedule an appointment. I can’t get an appointment this week. This is absolutely the worst ever service a human being can imagine you have my money. I can’t access it. you can’t schedule an appointment and it has been 3 1/2 hours since I called the 800 number. Where is my money I want somebody to call me.
All this knowing that I’m trying to open a $300,000 banking relationship. PAY ATTENTION EVERYONE. IF YOU WANT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Go somewhere else that’s what I’m doing.

The Worst Bank of America, that I have ever visited. The Accounts representative was dismissive and rude. I have been a customer for over 26 years. One of many reasons people are leaving Bank of America for Chase

Amazingly poor customer service. My wife wrote a check for $175 from her personal Bank of America checking account, payable to our housekeeper's business (DBA) name. The housekeeper's business checking account is also at Bank of America, and has been open for several years. The housekeeper went to the Bank of America Financial Center at 3852 National Avenue in San Diego on Tuesday, September 5 to cash the check. She endorsed the check and properly identified herself, but the National Avenue office refused to cash the check. The staff gave only a vague explanation for their behavior, and kept the housekeeper waiting for a long time. Finally she decided to leave; but the Bank of America staff refused to return the uncashed check to her.My wife and I tried calling the office this morning, but the phone did not get answered. We then called my wife's home branch (Coronado, CA) and got hold of someone who said she would escalate the matter to her branch manager and get back to us later the same day (today.) But we have not heard back from the Coronado office, and have heard nothing from the National Avenue office. The situation now from our perspective is that there is a live, endorsed check for $175 at some unknown location, and nobody has told us what is going on.Obviously the National Avenue office should have returned the check to our housekeeper if they were uncomfortable cashing it, or contacted my wife, or called the police if they seriously suspected there was fraudulent activity going on.Our housekeeper has still not been paid the $175 to which she is entitled, and we are not comfortable writing her another check until the missing one is resolved.By the way, the check written on my wife's account immediately before the missing item was for the same amount and the same payee. A savings branch office in Chula Vista cashed that for our housekeeper without hesitation.

On September 11th, we went to this location for a wire transfer. The person who helped us had time to tell us why she couldn't help us that we needed an appointment she jump on her computer and looked for other banks that had appointment available she book me at north park. But she wasted all this time about 20 minutes to tell me she wasn't helping me when she could easily do my wire transfer and be done. I'm a long-time customer and have my business account with the bank, but after covid, they just got lazy, unprofessional people to work for them.
