My previous review was 3 stars, and in repeated visits to this location I actually would have considered them 4 stars. The staff was friendly, and they finally told me about their own parking lot so I didn't have to illegally park out front. Well, they ran a promo last year for me to do 3 billpays and get a $10 bonus. Easy enough, so I did it. And the $10 never showed up. Many emails in their portal back and forth and customer service claimed I didn't follow the terms of the promo. They were looking at the wrong promo. Anyway, out of exasperation over trying to resolve an issue for $10, I told them if they can't fix it I'll just close the account. They turned around and closed the account 3 days later without confirming that's what I actually wanted to do. Hyperbole is not their strong suit. Am I going to miss Bank of the West? Not at all. Most banks wouldn't want to lose a customer over $10, but this bank couldn't wait to kick me to the curb so I'm glad I found out now before I started to do more banking with them. I guess they don't give a s*** about their customers, so best of the luck to them treating future customers this way.

I have an RV loan with this bank for a little over a year now. I've made it a purpose for the tellers in this particular branch to know who i am by making a cash payment to them each month ON TIME. This month i received a call that my payment hadn't been made yet - the best of my knowledge i walked into the branch on August 31st & made the payment with my co worker. They're telling me they flat out LOST my money. The tellers and branch manager have told me numerous times there is nothing they can do for me without a receipt (my fault for not holding onto it longer than 2 weeks) and that even if i was on the security footage for that date it wouldn't mean anything without being able to find the transaction. The branch manager Juana is ZERO help and doesn't make it a priority to help, gives me answers basically telling me "give up your fight". Well that's not happening. That's my cash that your bank lost, whether it was an honest mistake or not its absolutely absurd that anyone could think it's okay to treat your customers this way. The two guy bank tellers are very nice and I'm sure their hands are tied to an extent. Carlos recognized me as soon as I walked in the first time and has always greeted me the next 3 times I've been in since the initial meeting. The fraud and corporate departments that i have spoken with say to keep pressing with the branch and there isn't much they can do either. Which sounds just crazy to me that even corporate can't do anything. I know for certain I'm not the only person that this situation has ever happened to before. Corporate and fraud department were both very respectful and wanted to help. I will NOT EVER recommend this bank as a whole and most definitely DO NOT recommend ever taking money into this branch.

Took over 30 Mins to deposit a check. I have been banking at Bank of the West since 1994. It's not that they were not trying to help. But clearly a bank shouldn't have that much issue depositing (Ie taking $$).

This bank is everything that You Do Not Want in a financial institution, the staff -- to state the obvious -- are I'll-informed and unprofessional. Needless to say, I will never have a banking relationship with them again!
