I had opened up account because of how easy they made it sound. Made my minimum deposit in the time given. Recently set up my direct deposit and my account was closed for "Lack of Information" which she couldn't tell me what information was missing. Never got a phone call, letter, email or messenger pigeon at the very least. Would definitely not reccomend them at all. All they have to offer are witty commercials to spark interest.

This could be one of the worst bank branches anywhere. Their customer service is abysmal. The way that banking happens since BMO took over is so difficult compared to Bank of the West. And the people who work here make it even worse. Stay away.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced from a functioning business. Intentional phone call hang ups, unable to locate their own site documents, zero collaboration with other banks to release or process funds. DO NOT GO HERE

I visited this branch Wednesday September 20th and was helped by Carlos Aguilar. Carlos was so friendly and resourceful. He helped me with a transaction and explained the new merge with Bank Of The West. Thank you Carlos for being so helpful.

Yesterday I had to go to my bank, to solve an issue I had. Both employees smiled at me welcoming while they were busy with other customers. I was there for less then 10 minutes. After done with her customer, Lynnette, welcomed me again and as I started to explain what I needed, she immediately understood my issue and provided a very professional and ultimately resolved my issue! I do not understand all the poor reviews, employers there are doing their best! It is true that when I call they don't answer the phone......that is the worst part. However after yesterday, I will contact them by email. Easier than that! Thank you again Lynnette!

Worst banking Karen experience. Lost my wallet so no license, but had my US passport... The manager and the Karen represent was suspicious of the signature and the fact that i didn't have the driver's license really sent them over the edges ....They called the customer, that verified everything but still wouldn't cashthe check..... Then they refused to let me withdraw money from my own account because "something just wasn't right". 45 minutes gone

First impressions are everything. I experienced terrible customer service. My client had a valid cashiers check from WELLS FARGO and bank of the west "system" supposedly put a 10 day hold on it. Why? Because according to The branch manager cashiers checks have mistakes on them "all the time" and he didn't want to put "his job" on the line to do anything about it. Oh but if my client "had a million dollars" in their account they could have walked out with the full amount. Felt a lot like discrimination to us. I will NEVER EVER do business with this bank or recommend it to anyone. The branch manager also stared us down as we were leaving and was very confrontational in his tone and demeanor.

This is by far the worst bank ever. Please do not use them for anything. They ave hung up on me several times when they say they are transferring me. Every time I've called I've been on hold for over an hour. I have a commercial loan with them and it's been a nightmare since day one. I'm a real estate broker for 20 years and I've never experienced anything like this. Please be aware and use caution.

If I could give it 0 stars, I would have. This is the worst experience ever! We're new to this bank - tried setting up online banking and it won't recognize the log in and locked out. I've currently made several calls to get it resolved. Currently on hold for almost 2 hours!!! I'm ready to refinance elsewhere.

Their loan rates are attractive, and my loan rep was very dligent, but their website must have been designed by a grade-schooler. You can't pull up your mortgage statement on it. They've been telling me for years that "they're working on it." Certainly not very hard.All I was trying to do is set up an autopayment, and I needed to verify the address/zip code. Can't do that on the website, and no one answers the phone at their downtown San Diego branch! Not even a recording.They may try to blame it on Covid-19, but the customer service was terrible long before.
