We had some of the worst experiences ever in this hotel. I don't know how one can give a room in the place our room was AND charge the same amount as any other room?We stayed in room #109, which was between lobby and breakfast room, so everybody starts walking by the room LOUDLY at 6:30 am. In addition, the room is right in front of the hotel's laundry and the workers are slamming door and bumping carts at 4 am. It is just impossible to sleep!!! The icing on the cake is the room is right next to the hot tub on one side and vending machine on another (in front of the door). This room should be a storage or some other technical facility, NOT a rented room and DEFINITELY NOT a room you pay as for any other room!!!By the way, the breakfast handling is terrible. The cook was transferring remaining eggs from one tray to the new one by tilting it, having all the TECHNICAL (potentially dirty) water from under the tray (the one that keeps it warm) flowing right INSIDE the new tray. Yuck!!! In addition, the breakfast room is too small for the number of guests trying to have breakfast. Selection is so-so (no meat items like sausage links).

Location is great, overlooking waterfront and about 15 mins from most things in San Diego. Great service, reasonable breakfast options. Good size rooms, comfy bed, and very spacious bathroom - unfortunately let down by the shower which was lacking any sort of power.

In an excellent area in front of the marina and shelter island without the chaos of downtown Sandiego, very close to the airport.

Older hotel, pretty clean with a good breakfast. Room could use a little maintenance. Holes in darkout shades, missing wall outlet covers, loose wall plugs, and very dirty heat vents with Cobb web's. Overall, a good stay. Also, staff could be a little friendlier.

The location is amazing! We had a room overlooking the harbor and enjoyed walking the promenade. Even caught a fishing boat cleaning and selling Mahi right on the promenade. The parking is abundant but when you first get there, it's hard to figure out how to get into the hotel from the parking lot.The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a big sellig point for me. My family does not usually feel like the hotel breakfast is sufficient but this one was. They were quick to refill food and there were small differences in the offerings each morning. My favorite was scrambled eggs with the option to add pico de gallo, cheese and diced ham. The only thing that was slightly odd was a nice homeless man who was in front of me the first morning filling plates to take with him. The area does not seem prone to homelessness. The staff was around but maybe they allow him to come in.Our room was very quiet, even with the elevator across the hall. We had a broken luggage rack when we arrived and housekeeping quickly replaced it. The outdoor and indoor space is kept up very nicely.Rooms: Very quite and nicely maintained.Safety: Homelessness was not evidentWalkability: Promenade across the street had a beautiful of a marina and a few restaurants.Food & drinks: Breakfast was wonderful

My first choice hotel in San Diego. It's close to the Harbour. Affordable price (depending on the season). Clean. Free breakfast and parking. Short distance to little Italy and downtown. Get the harbor view room.Rooms: Clean, spacious. The bathroom is a bit small.

Location, location, and location. Friendly good service, breakfast included, has a balcony, so what else you want…If we would come to San Diego, we’d definitely stay at this hotel.
