Very rude and inflexible owner/management. His communication was unreasonably aggressive. As a woman, it made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I decided to let my membership expire without returning because or his harsh correspondence over email when I asked for a couple month extension on my membership due to recent personal issues.

I love this Bikram Yoga School. If you are looking for the real 90 min Bikram Yoga, this is it. Teachers are very knowledgeable. The heat and humidity are perfect and I always leave feeling amazing!

Been trying to get through to them to see if they are working with the Class Pass system. A referral said they were, but then no one's been able to confirm. Three stars for the heat, but would still appreciate a callback.

I have gone here a couple times 4 years ago and wanted to get back into it after Covid (extra weight gain) - i bought two passes online and have reached out over FIVE TIMES via email with NO REPLY!! So they have my money but wont let me schedule. They seem VERY "clicky" that you can't go there unless you "are a regular " - its the only strict bikram studio i can find near us so i guess they dont care about customer service or allowing outside people to get INTO bikram again and become a regular!! The owner is SO RUDE and everything has to be done via online. They wouldnt let me in when i tried to show up for a session via the schedule online AFTER EMAILING MULTIPLE TIMES TO USE MY VALID VISITS LEFT!!! Very disappointed and wish someone else would open another studio for everyone that can't seem to handle this place!!

You don't want to come here. Please don't go! Instead of relaxation, you'll get a headache and will feel drained and sad ! Old, ugly, definitely not for young people or anyone really. You need to authorize your payments through emails. They have too many rules, very rude and outdated service. There's no mask mandate in San Diego but they require you to wear a mask when you come to check in, then everyone takes it off and nobody cares. I forgot my mask and they didn't have any for sale or for free. Rude people, the place reeks, carpets smell. Literally all decent studios have masks for free and for sale. Those Nazis denied me submission. It's hard to believe any place has such a horrible service. The place also embrace Bikram Choudhury himself and it's full or pictures with the Bikram (the sex violator and a horrible corrupted man who's ran away from prosecutions in US) The owner is his friend and worships him. For old outdated people who like simpler times.

Unfortunately, I bought a 20 class package and have 16 classes the owner will not refund. I'm retired and survive on a fixed income so spending money to go to a bikram yoga studio is a real sacrifice. Maybe the owner will show some compassion and refund my money.

I love this place. It's my no 1. Studio in San Diego. The owner is awesome and runs the place very well, especially during covid. It's a traditional bikram yoga school. The teachers are awesome, it's clean and all classes are 90 minutes. I highly recommend this place.

My mother and I have been going here for years. I have been to other hot yoga studios but none were as hot and big as this place. The price is reasonably low. Plenty of parking. The staffs are friendly and try their best to remember the students' names so, they can call on you to adjust your postures (not to embarrass anyone purposely) . Every instructor have their own style of teaching with the core base of Bikram. Appreciate their strict Covid protocols to keep everyone safe.

I’m really disappointed and rather saddened by my interaction with this company. Currently dealing with depression and chronic back pain amidst the pandemic, I was elated to see this studio was still serving the public, even if meant a 40 min drive.I purchased a one class pass, scheduled my first class, and read all instructions on the website as requested, which among other things, insisted that their COVID-19 Waiver must be filled out completely, signed and brought to your first class. Unfortunately, when I went to print out this form an hour and a half before class started, I found that you are unable to download the form via iPhone, only on a PC or laptop. Based on the fact that there were no other alternatives given on the website, as well as the fact that all classes were to be booked and paid online, I reasonably assumed that I would not be accepted into the class without this form.No problem, I thought, I will simply cancel and rebook the class and have my boyfriend print the form at his office. I went online to cancel the class, which seemed like a pretty easy process. Although I received no confirmation of the cancellation, I did receive an email showing the time I reset my password in an effort to get online to cancel the class. To my surprise, a day later, I received a really scathing email, which explained the studio’s cancellation policies in a very harsh tone, reminiscent of a childhood scolding. I was super confused by this email, which I assumed was a generic automated response emailed out to anyone who had cancelled. It went off talking about all the times they have have conveyed their cancellation policy in past emails and forums, although I had only signed up about a week ago.I responded to this email, to explain my confusion and disappointment. I was told that I didn’t cancel the class at all, but I received no apology for the undeserving tone or no interest in helping me figure out what went wrong. Now that I was at least aware why the studio seemed so upset with me, I emailed them back again trying to figure out went wrong, only to be met again with a disrespectful, and this time, condescending tone. I’m still not sure why “Jim” thought it was okay to speak to me like that, so I very politely expressed my disappointment and sarcastically thanked “Jim” for all of his help.Despite my chronic back pains and the present lack of options, I could not bring myself to waste another penny or drive 40 minutes to support a business that made me feel so unwelcomed and talked down to. Despite expressing all that I was going through, identifying the misunderstanding, and expressing my concern over the tone of the email, I didn’t feel that “Jim” was even remotely polite or apologetic during our interaction.Although I do not own a business myself, common sense tells me that offering a little empathy in exchange for a potential $160/mo paying member is a much better payoff than greedily snatching up $20, while only providing attitude in return. Having visited their website several times this week, the 7:30pm never appeared to be booked, so it’s not as though I selfishly stole the opportunity from someone else, when my cancellation did not go through for whatever reason, be it human error or their website. Speaking of, when I asked about them fixing their website, so that students could download/print the waiver from a mobile device, there was no response, other than letting me know I could pick one up at they studio, This is something that is NOT mentioned within the instructions provided.

I have practice at yoga places throughout the country and Bikram‘s yoga (old town)iSan Diego is by far the best yoga studio in the country. Jim (the owner) and his amazing staff consistently looks out for all students. The studio is impeccable and in fact during the last few months, they have been vigilant about keeping everyone safe! As a professional that deals with Incredible stress at work - BYSD is my peace of mind - you must check out this yoga studio!Thank you BYSD

Don't let the fake positive reviews fool you. This place does not deserve to keep its doors open. The owner is a total jackass. I cannot believe the way he treats his clients. He is rude, vulgar and lacks the simplest of business skills and client relations. You could not pay me to ever go there. Horrible.

Coming from (not anymore) a Bikram studio owner (UK and San Diego) and teacher (all over the world) background, I have to say what took place today, I will never step foot into this place again! I won't go on a rant but will say everything starts from the top down. That studio owner has such an attitude its toxic! Good Riddance !

I appreciate the strict social distancing they’re practicing at the studio, because I don’t like being near people to begin with

I'm a practicing yoga instructor, I've done years of bikram in the past, found this on Groupon and thought I'd give it a go. Easily the worst experience I've ever had at a yoga studio! I did 6 classes all of which were bad experiences, I had a bruised tailbone so for myself I modified a few things to avoid pain, I stopped going for a few weeks because I'd get called out in a very unprofessional manner during class for modifications. I finally went back today and after class stayed to talk to the instructor about what happened and see if they'd extend my expiration date. I was abruptly told no, and not because they couldn't because they don't do modifications and this probably wasn't the right yoga for me. Not only is that bad practice with reckless teaching but it's done in an unsafe poor uninsured manner. If I could give 0 stars I would I'd like to add that I've never worked here have no affiliation with this studio other than the groupon.
