The manager Alfredo was very rude and impolite. The truck was dirty and it was not serviced. Damaged marks and dents all over it. Horrible customer service! Will never go to that location ever again!

These guys have always tried to accommodate all my car rental requests! Use them on a regular basis for business and personal use. The prices are competitive and the product is clean and ready to use.

Made a reservation for a car a month in advance and got a call the morning of the reservation saying they have no cars, and told me to call back. I called back just to get one of the rude employees to say "we got no cars, no cars" and she hung up. I MADE A RESERVATION. Avoid this place at all costs.

This place is a scam. Rent at your own risk. They take reservations on the app, then will cancel the DAY before your move because they don’t have any trucks. What’s worse is that you’re charged a cancelation fee of $75. One time they flat out canceled, the second time they said they didn’t have a 26ft truck that we reserved and we could use their 12ft van. Both times charged the cancelation fee even though they canceled and both times budget corporate could not locate their transaction. My guess is they make a lot of money this way, take reservations and cancel, then charge a fee.

I appreciate these guys. When I returned an out of state van to them, they understood that there were some issues that were the fault of incompetence at a different budget rental.I'd totally do business with this store specifically, as Budget stores are independently owned and operated, and this one has good people.

Called last minute to tell us there are only cargo van and no trucks even with advance appointment and basically try to force us to that. Leaving us with no transportation that actually fit our items. Just because it fits the same load doesn’t mean it’s the appropriate length or width to do the same job.

Horrible service, online/on the phone, and in person. Deserves zero stars, no one wants to do their job, bad customer experience after another. They called us 15 minutes before scheduled pickup, to tell us our reserved vehicle magically was unavailable, and no info on when it would be available, and no info on options. I had to personally call multiple locations, scouting inventory. Finally after finding a location that had vehicle available, aka doing their job for them, I walked in to a worker playing with a dog and not working and looking reluctant to assist me. When asked for help, I explained I needed the same vehicle, and they cut me off while speaking and told me I needed to go do it online and turned me away. They wanted to charge me almost triple the amount of my reservation. I then called in to customer care, and it continued to get even worse. Finally getting someone on the phone, I explained the situation, and then was sent to another department even after entering the correct resource in the automated menu. After getting connected, the rep asked me all over again what the issue was and confirmation number again, they clearly don’t have the flow of traffic setup to be efficient. They concluded the call with, everything is in motion and we will call you no more than 2 hours. Two hours came, and went. No update at all. Called again, and they said I was ready for pickup an hour ago, but that they are closing now, then they hung up on me. Had to call back and tell confirmation number all over again and be passed onto other departments again, just for them to tell me that they promise it won’t happen again. Now we are scheduled to pickup tomorrow morning again… and their bad business ethics are ruining my scheduled move. This is classic bait and switch to upsell you, and pressure you to pay a premium price. When asked where I could give feedback to the company, so they can grow from this experience, the rep had no sources or info to provide on the matter. So a company that has no connection with its customers, is hard to believe. Lastly, none of this would have even happened, if they easily set online, an automatic deterrent that won’t let you reserve locations if they don’t have it in inventory. Pretty simple, but this company doesn’t show even the simplest workflow management savvy. If you are looking for a solid dependable moving rental company, steer clear from this company. They will ruin your plans and try and have you pay for their incompetence.

I will never rent with Budget again. Third time renting a Budget rental car through Costco. So many problems with the rude people behind the Budget rental counters at ORD airport. I was told the cost of the e-toll pass would be $5 a day - wrong. Receipt shows $11.95 a day or $59.95 a week. I was told the e-toll would work in all the states that I was traveling through - wrong. I had to use my credit card at several different toll booths.Reserved a full size car - they didn't have one and offered me a economy car, or a compact car. I had to wait for them to find a full size car. The car wasn't that clean. The Apple car play didn't work, which I mostly use for navigation. My rental price through Costco was $463.72, my final bill with Budget was $619.27. That's $155.55 of BS added on to the bill. After reading through Budget reviews, I'm pretty sure they will find something else to add to the bill.I hope that Costco drops them from their list of available companies for rental cars.

Do not come here! Do yourself a favor and just rent somewhere else. The guy Antonio, supposedly the manager, is a complete a****** and treats every customer like s**** He can care less if you just walk away, not sure how he got this job. He should be fired after so many complaints. He is very unprofessional and I just had to walk away from this place after the way he treated us.

Called me less than an hour before my pick up time to inform me that they didn’t have my reserved truck. Tried to get me to rent a truck that was way too large and tried to make me pay for insurance that I wouldn’t have needed if they had the smaller truck available. Cancelled the reservation and had to book at a different location for a later date. Messed up my move.

I haven't even pick up the car I rented and I already have a bad taste in my mouth from this place. Just got a call from them saying that they will not be there between the times of 2pm and 3pm and that I need to pick up my already paid vehicle at their convenient time. Go somewhere else for rentals.

Rented a Ford Transit 150 cargo van from this location. Counter guy was extremely hard sell about buying extra insurance, etc. which we refused but it did make us take an extra lap around the vehicle to make sure it was in good shape. I has brought a tire pressure gauge with me because pick-up time ought to be the perfect time to check cold tire pressures and I feel it's especially important to get these set correctly when driving any sort of heavily loaded vehicle. Glad that I did this. Three of the tires were 12 PSI under inflated and the fourth was 15 PSI under. At first, they told me this was fine and that the tire pressures would get up to spec once they heated up. I mentioned that this advice was in direct contradiction with Budget's rental page notices which strongly recommended that you set the inflation pressures correctly, cold, and NOT to let air out when the pressures increase under operation. I was told not to worry about the tire pressures as they had already inspected the unit and it has passed. Oh, but what about the big 52PSI and 64PSI "cold pressure" stickers on the front and rear fenders?? They went and pulled out the air compressor... Looking closer at the tires I noticed that the right front was nearly bald and the wear bars were fully exposed. Again they assured me that this was fine and that the vehicle had "passed inspection" so not to worry. Glad that I then located an externally-applied tire plug patch on that balding tire. I asked them who was responsible for flat tire repair? (Answer:, the renter) Demanded a different vehicle and they finally acquiesced. Replacement unit had four better looking tires on it, from three different manufacturers, but all with sufficient tread. Again, there of them were about 10PSI under inflated but at least the compressor was already out. Both vans were total beaters, with long scrapes on the sides and roof, cracked bumpers and mirrors, and some assortment of broken doors, etc. Par for the course I think when renting a van from Budget. In the end, I drove the van away from this lot vowing to never retur. Am glad I was doing a one-way rental so I didn't have to see this crew again. All in all, I just don't trust this location. I strongly suggest renting from any place else.

Whatever you do do not go to this location. The lady at the front desk lied straight to my face twice telling me there is unlimited miles and will not be charged for distance at all. She also said the insurance is a total of $60 for both days. They charged me $67 per day. I don’t get what she got out of giving me false info. These were not mistakes. Truck was junk should have gone with Penske for this price

Horrible customer service! The male employee is rude and doesn't have an ounce of professionalism. Poor custodian of the Budget/Avis brand.

Don't ignore the warnings like I did. I selected Budget because I only needed a 3 hour one way rental and the return location worked out for me. My flights were cancelled and the closest I could get to home was LAX instead of SD, and I had an important appointment to get to. I rented the car from 12pm to 3pm. I got to the rental pick up spot for shuttles at 11:15am. I waited 25 minutes knowing there was a large crowd of people there already waiting for the Budget shuttle for almost an hour. I called Budget and they said the shuttle comes every 15 minutes. All other shuttles like Avis and Enterprise drive by every five minutes with Budget no where to be found. Finally 45 minutes into my wait, Budget drives by. All 30 or so of us waive our arms and the driver just casually waived us away and keeps going. Apparently the shuttle is already full. I know I won't get a seat at this point. A group of us start contemplating taking the 1.5 mile walk but it's not a safe walk. So, knowing Avis is a sister company with a five minute walk, according to google, we jump on an Avis shuttle. We get to Avis and it turns out it's actually more of a 20 minute walk. Uber was $30 so we all decide to just walk. We get there and it's a huge line to get a car. When it's my turn for the front, the lady constantly tries to up sell me and sneak in hidden fees. 2 hours later I finally get the car, which is all scratched up. At this point I don't have time to return the car and walk to my appointment as was planned. On the drive, I call Budget to extend my rental. I rented it for 3 hours, and only had one hour left, and paid for a full day rental anyway due to their minimum. Nonetheless they charge me a change fee. It's $10 so I don't bother arguing. The place I want to drop off the car, across the street from my appointment, closes at 4 so I have to drive the car 20 minutes away to return it. I refueled it up and returning it was simple. At this point I'm $160 in for a bottom line, 4 hour car rental that took 2 hours to get. I will avoid Budget at all costs next time. It's not cheaper in the end and it's a waste of time. It would have been less stressful and the same price getting an Uber or going through a more reliable rental company. I tried flying home for two days with multiple cancelled flights and detours, yet this part of my trip was the most stressful and exhausting. Please, don't avoid the warnings from my and other reviews. Wishing you smooth travels!
