Tried the Blueberry and corn waffles. It was good. $25 for a waffle and coffee is premium price though. Indulge if traveling.

I finally tried the pumpkin waffle and it was lighter than I expected and was delicious. Friendly service, few people there the last hour before closing. The parking was a test of patience.Parking: Beware the parking spaces are in high demand and the parking meters are not always in working order. Twice the parking meter I was at did not work. I was so excited to find a spot and then had to move once because the meter was broken. I learned my lesson from a time before when I was given a ticket. It was drizzling and the meter to the left facing the restaurant was malfunctioning. The interface was hard to read because of the elements. I guess they malfunction in the rain. I wish there were more parking options. I miss free street parking.Kid-friendliness: It's a smaller place, the chairs and vibe are more adult-y. The chairs are more for couples and the seating is tight. There are many other better options for kids.

Someone mentioned Bobby Flay ate here so we had to check out. The old charm is a nice change from the bustling city traffic honestly. The server was incredibly sweet and we felt very welcomed from the start. They have too many food options that sound good - but I ended up going with my favorite the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were so soft and the gravy has great flavor. They were some of the best restaurant biscuits and gravy I’ve had. The caramel latte I ordered was perfect. This place is worth checking out - and your wallet will love it too.

We were on a vacation in San Diego and of course, wanting to find a nice little hole-in-the-wall style restaurant we happened to stumble upon this place in a google review. We asked for a table for 7 and the first word out of the Waiter’s mouth was “Wow, how do you know all these people??” Which immediately set the tone for a playful environment.Upon walking in the yellow walls accented with chandeliers with silverware hanging from it. The kitchen is right there so it’s very clear from the start that it’s gonna be good. Service was quick to pick up our order, and it didn’t take very long to get our food. For my order I got myself the Cinnamon Bread French Toast with sausage links. The bread was toasted and had a delightful crunch to it, a far cry from the soggy soft French toast they had at our hotel. The sausage was a delight as well!We were in and out in less than 45 minutes even with such a large table size and the price was relatively cheep compared to the other places in the area. We ended up going here twice throughout our 4 day trip. One of the few places I’d absolutely consider a 5 star breakfast besides my own mother’s cooking.

We came to San Diego to see the ocean but ate at 222 - 2 times! Absolutely the best breakfast place in this town! Eggs Benedict is hand down the best I’ve ever had and I have had it all over the world.

Exactly what you need for weekend brunch. Friendly service, good coffee, and a convenient location (close to many hotels and the congress centre). Had the Huevos Rancheros. Perfect balance of tortilla, egg and cheese with absolutely to-die-for Mexican gravy. Would return to San Diego just for that plate of food.

Solid breakfast spot with unique offing on old favorites. Cornbread waffle , thick slice ham, very satisfying. Smells of coffee ☕️ filled the air.
