The worse doggy care so far I have tried! I had to pick up my dog after only few minutes being left there. (This is after she already being evaluated and got accepted to this location). Within the first few minutes, I checked the camera and saw they put a leash on her and dragging her somewhere else that I couldn’t see. They separated her within not even 5 minutes being there. I called right away while still on the same street to see where they took her and they said she was very playful and she has too much energy! Da! She is a puppy and super curious also in a new place! Give her more than 5 minutes to get adjusted to her new environment! I also specifically asked them if she was aggressive toward anyone or any dog (which she never is) and they said no she is very sweet but just has too much energy! So basically they took her away within few minutes only because she likes to run and play! Absolutely disappointed of the whole operation at this location. For sure not even going to try the other campuses they have if they all using the same mentality and evaluation for judging a new&young dog.

Our pup loves coming here! Lots of space to run around, water play and no kennels when it’s time to sleep. Report cards said my pup liked to snuggle the humans during sleep overs. Staff friendliness can be hit or miss but everyone seems to treat the dogs well.

Took my dog Rusty Bear here for a trim and this place definitely does a fantastic job and actually cares about the dogs unlike other places. Such good vibes here and I could tell Rusty Bear loved his time with them too. Thank you Soo much. We will be back for sure!

The best place to board your dogs! We hate being away from our dogs, but Camp Run. Mutt Pt. Loma takes so much if the worry away. They pay attention to how each dog is feeling/reacting to their stay and do their best to make sure they feel safe and happy. We LOVE the doggy cam. It’s so fun and comforting to be able to check on the dogs while we are away. Highly recommend!

Please review this video of my dog's "failed" temperament test. He is the mostly all black dog. You will notice my dog is happily play bowing & remaining a calm demeanor despite another dog becoming aggressive with him. Strangely enough the more aggressive dog is allowed to attend & mine is not. Unfortunately, I suspect there was also breed discrimination involved in this decision. If you have a Pitty breed or if your dog is even a little bit playful with other dogs then I would recommend looking elsewhere. In response to Jennifer: Most dogs need time to calm down from the initial excitement of meeting new friends. For unknown reasons my dog was not given that opportunity as the entirety of his temperament test was 33 seconds. He simply matched the energy of the black and white dog in the video. Hope that you are able to work with your staff to improve your temperament testing process.

I noticed on my little chihuahua a sore spot under his chin, then I noticed it was getting worse and did not know what was happening, but a month ago after picking him up I saw he was bleeding with what looked like a dog bite. It appears as though his jowl was bitten. It looks like a tooth bite that tore into him. He is scared. The Camp changed hands. I have been taking him to the Camp for 3 years, first on India Street then to Pt. Loma when India St closed its door. I have already paid for several more sessions but now fear for him. I also noticed he was becoming aggressive. He was never like that. I cannot in faith believe he is safe there anymore. I wish to be wrong but the bleeding cannot be ignored.I

If I could give 0 stars, I would... I dropped my dog Levi off on Thursday as a perfectly healthy golden retriever. I picked him up on Sunday night and he had Kennel Cough, 2 Hot Spots on his head, an ear infection, and an irritated mouth. I warn other dog owners about bringing their dogs to this place. It clearly is not clean and the employees are not paying enough attention to issues as they arise.I then tried to call and speak with the manager about what happened to Levi. I was told the manager was not in and that I would be called back. I then never received a call back from management. They clearly do not care care about customer service either.I will NEVER be bringing my dog back to this place and I warn you about brining your dog here!

We love camp run a mutt! Have had other experiences with competing doggy daycare places and camp run a mutt is by far the best. I always trust my dog is in good hands and he always has an absolute blast!

Have boarded our dogs here for 4 years and couldn't be more disappointed. Level of service has gone down while prices continue to go up. The most recent price increase as of October 3, 2022(22% increase!!) is too much. We will be taking our dogs to Fon John from now on.

My pup comes back from a day at camp better behaved, tired, and happy. What else could you want? Sometimes, when he starts misbehaving, we feel like we need to send him back for a reset! The staff is super courteous and organized. The drop off process is very easy once you have everything set up.

Our Portie, Zozysa, loves going to Camp - the staff has always been pleasant and caring - Zofia loves them all especially Sheldon - we have boarded her there on multiple occasions and the only residual is that she comes home tired - while there has been a turnover in staff, probably due to COVID, each and every one has been awesome - on the housekeeping side, the place is clean, no funny smells like at other places - I would not take her anyplace else to spend the day - Porties need a lot of activity and human interaction - the camp does an excellent job of those needs

What's not to love?! Staff is super nice and greets our pup by name, as soon as we arrive! Lots of space for the dogs to run around, including a fountain if your dog likes the water! Nothing but great things to say about this place

My dog and I did not have a good experience here (in roughly 2020-2021). The pack was very large, with not enough attendants to supervise them. I understand they had absorbed other doggy daycares during the pandemic, so maybe this was an associated problem. But I would not recommend this day camp for young dogs, nor highly strung dogs. It's the chicken/egg syndrome: was my dog innately highly strung and therefore had a bad/stressful time there, or did her experience there cause her to be highly-strung? I don't know the answer, but it's troubling. She was always very exhausted when I picked her up, which of course is good in some sense. But towards the end, I noticed a change where she seemed damp and very quiet, like she'd gotten chewed on by a lot of other dogs. And then, when I asked why the picture they sent me of her had blood on her neck and she looked exhausted, I felt like Camp Run-A-Mutt blamed my dog--almost like they were worried that I'd leave a bad review, and therefore circumvented it by telling me that my dog was the problem, that she was "resource-guarding" an attendant. It's my view that she was afraid and overstimulated by the pack, and was trying to get some safety from the attendant. But of course I don't know this for sure. They brought in their own person to observe her, and wouldn't let me out in the yard at the same time, and then afterwards, told me it was my dog's fault--that She was the aggressive one, towards other dogs. But she had/has never exhibited any aggressive behavior toward any other dogs, outside of this Camp. And it's my belief that this pack was too much for her, too scary and overstimulating. In the end, I felt blamed, and the solution proposed to me was that I get her very expensive obedience lessons (with someone they recommended), before they'd allow her back. I got the obedience lessons, but didn't bring her back. I'm sorry I ever brought her; it breaks my heart to think she was too young to handle was was going on behind closed doors, or just didn't have the temperament for it. Despite there being cameras, I don't think you get a full, true picture of what's going on behind the scenes. I think it's a large, assertive pack and not for puppies or sensitive temperaments.
