I stopped by the Carl's Jr. on Bernardo Center Drive to pickup a couple of items for my wife. Rather than go through the drive-thru (which was busy), I opted to park and walk in. Once inside, I saw one person working at the drive-thru window and two other people in the back preparing orders. There was no one (that I could see) that was working the front counter. There was a self-order terminal but since this was my first encounter with a terminal like this, I opted to see if someone would eventually come and take my order. After a few minutes of waiting, someone did arrive. Once that happened, my experience was much better. The order taker was personable and professional and helped me with the special order I was requesting. Within a few short minutes, my order was ready and I was on the way home. My wife said the food was fine (typical of restaurants of this variety). .

Be aware, this Carls Jr Store #1102264 on 16614 Dove Canyon Rd. adds and charges about 3.5% service fee to your food bill and manager in site did not provide a good reason/explanation for it only stated it was to offset the company’s and owner’s costs and it was a mandatory imposed fee. I think the store’s policy should be not to pass the cost to their customers and/or at least post a sign for paying customers next to the cash resisters indicating that a service fee is mandatory and will be assessed. I do not agree with this fee and refuse to pay this fee in the future therefore I will never visit this Carls Jr again.

The drive-through ordertaking is now automated. You cannot customize you cannot order through the window. The automated ordering system did not interpret what I ordered correctly and got stuck. I drove to the pick up window to complete my order with a human. That human refused to take my order and told me that he had the order and that's all he could do, the order was not only incorrect. It was incomplete I would've been forced to drive back around and attempt the same thing all over again. The employee at the window was indignant to the situation, and really seem to enjoy the fact that he did not have to deal with anyone. I will, never, ever, return to this location. I am now driving almost 10 miles out of my way to get the burger, I wanted, even though that's my closest Carl's.For the owner, the time was approximately 12:30 PM, Pacific standard.

Service was fine I guess but the robot taking my order was doing a horrible job and couldn't get anything right. I eventually just said yes because at that point I couldn't pull out of the drive through lol

Went in today 11/28/23@12:30pm, order food for my employer asked for special order of fries to be fresh. This was a take out order, I didn't check my order before leaving wish I did. Got to the office the fries where old and cold the box with grease absorption and sticker "special" nothing about my French fries where fresh or special ordered. It looks like they just refried them. Disappointment.E.L.

I purchased the Bacon Swiss Chicken Sandwich on 11/10 for $8.50 via the drive-thru. The Quality & Value were greatly lacking. Having been a Carl's Jr. customer for many years, I'll have to consider going to Wendy's due to this factor.

I had wanted to try the El Diablo burger for a little while. I was driving by this place on my way home so it was a quick and easy stop. There is ample parking even during the lunch hour. The grounds and the building are clean and well maintained. The interior dining area and the order counter were very clean. I'm not sure if they were short staffed today or if there were other issues. It took quite a while for me to get my order placed and also for it to be prepared. Only one person in line in front of me, you're were several cars in the drivethrough. I'm guessing it was at least 15 minutes before my lunch was ready. The employees were working hard and were rushing. They were all friendly and professional. The food was good, El Diablo was nice and spicy, very good overall
