I’m writing in hopes that other dog parents don’t experience what I did last night.my dog ingested some milk chocolates yesterday. After speaking with poison control it was decided that she needed to go to her vet (Carmel mountain ranch hospital) to induce vomiting. No big deal I thought. I was wrong! I got a call an hour later that they had administered DOUBLE the dose of apomorphine! My dog went into severe enough respiratory depression that she had to be put on oxygen and rushed to the animal hospital. TO FIX THE OVERDOSE ADMINISTERED AT CMRVH! That’s what the discharge paperwork from the hospital says, she received an OVERDOSE. How does this happen? They put my dog, me and my family through hell thinking we were losing my baby due to the vet’s lack of professionalism and care for their patients. They know they messed up because the offered to cover the bill. I won’t be taking my baby back there and I’d research the reviews before you think of taking yours theirs. All they want is to quote you insanely expensive stuff your dog DOESN’T need but it’s “recommended” by their vets.UPDATE: the VERY NEXT day after almost killing my dog the vet’s office calls telling me that I need to bring my dog into their office in a couple of weeks for mor bloodwork. They didn’t even ask how my dog is doing. They’re looking for more money from me. I don’t think so. My dog will now go to a vet that knows what they are doing and cares about their patients. Not to mention the speciality hospital I was sent to themselves suggested we change vets as they receive a lot of patients that need to be cared for after being at Carmel mountain ranch veterinary hospital.PLEASE THINK BEFORE BRINGING YOUR PET HERE. They put me, my dog and my family through such unimaginable stress because of their mistake and they couldn’t care less.I will happily share the discharge paperwork from the hospital which specifically says she was brought in due to APOMORPHINE OVERDOSE not the chocolate that Carmel mountain vet “claimed” to be worried about if it helps anyone.

Thank you so much for squeezing Amber in! In times of emergency it is so comforting to know that your practice always tries their best to see your animal. Everyone at your clinic is so kind, caring, and do a great job of making the experience as pleasant as possible. We appreciate so much the care and attention given to Amber <3 Special shoutout to Katie and Kayla-superstars!

Carmel Mountain Ranch Vetrinary Hospital is my dog’s Vet hospital. They have different Vets with different specialities. So far I am happy with my dog visits there. If they diagnose any problem with the pet, they take time and explain it to the level that you are fully satisfied. They also have a day / night boarding facility for animals , helping parents leaving their fur babies in the comfort of doctors.

Until we moved out of California this was our family vet. We went here for about ten years and they were wonderful to us and gave great care to our cats.

Very knowledgeable staff. Explain all the details about your pet succinctly and clearly. Short wait times and they call back quickly if you have questions. I recommend highly!

It is with a heavy heart I write this review as we had to put down our 8 y/o kitty yesterday. Lymphoma. We planned a much longer life with him, and the news of his illness was very challenging. But this Veterinarian was extremely compassionate and went above and beyond.Dr Menghani would call me after hours all the time to check in on him and how he was doing. She and the rest of the staff were a god-send during these last few months. One day I will have another animal, and I will have this facility as care giver.

My Pomeranian has been to this veterinarian for years and they have seen her through allergies and back problems. She is a shy dog but has responded well to the care and attention of the staff. Overall I love working with the knowledgeable veterinarians here and recommend them to everyone.

My dog, Maple, needed to see the veterinarian but there were no appointments available the same day. They worked her in between other fur babies so she could be examined. :)Thank you Dr. M & all the great staff for your care.
