This is where I do all of my banking. Since moving to San Diego in June of 2022, Chase has played a pivotal role. The staff are friendly, however a change of management squeezed many of the good ones away. Gone are Jim and Vitali. Same service, different feel!

I'd like to extend my gratitude to Alejandra for her exceptional assistance today. Her expertise and personable demeanor made the process of opening a new account a breeze. A big thank you to both Chase and Alejandra for their outstanding service.

You can't even get inside to use the ATM, the door is broken and does not accept your debit card so it's only open during banking business hours which is not helpful. Considering there are only a couple of Chase ATMs downtown this is frustrating.

Honestly idk how this bank has only 2.5 stars. Every time I go it's always been a pleasant experience. Logically tho if you're nice they will be nice back so

I was opening up a new account today with Chase. I've decided to ditch Wells Fargo after all the complaints I've heard about the company over the years.I was greeted immediately upon entry of the bank and asked if I wanted some water. I was helped by Maggie, one of the personal bankers, to set up my new accounts. She was very thorough in letting me know my options in cards and account preferences, giving me helpful tips and info, and advise for the future of CD savings. This was all done in a timely manner with attentiveness and kindness. 5/5. Thank you Chase bank on First and Broadway. :)

I don’t usually write reviews but I felt a need to. JIM and SCARLETT were absolutely amazing. I came in for a bank verification form and we ran into some hiccup but the didn’t let that stop them. They keep going until they found a solution. Also besides that they are very personable!

Yeah I don't think that I ever could have a relationship with this bank due to the attitude of the employees here. I dealt with three different individuals not including the initial teller who couldn't give me a direct answer as it related to their check-cashing policy and the story changed every single time. I asked for the manager multiple times only to receive a private banker and Another banker finally getting me to the manager and what I needed to speak with directly when I initially came in. The manager also was no help he was extremely rude and very dismissive after I told him that we needed to know what the policy was in reference to check cashing. he gave us a different answer from the first two individuals and told us that we needed to negotiate that check with our own private bank seeing as they cannot cash a cashiers check presented from them. Obviously I wouldn't want a bank account with a bank that doesn't know how to treat its clients. The check was a very large amount and I understand that sometimes banks don't have that amount of money available however, every single institution that I've been to regardless of the amount including Chase in which I cash a check a few months ago for over $100,000 was able to Cash the check because it was one of their own and they could see the balance of the individual who presented the check to me . It doesn't seem like this is a standalone incident. as I read the other reviews other individuals have had the similar situation happened to them when presenting a large check to this particular bank. I'm asking myself continuously especially and as an individual that works in the industry what really is the point of a bank other than to lend. they use the money that you have deposited and ultimately invest that money into other things all the while you're getting minimal interest if any at all on that particular account. It's better that you buy a safe and put it in there and pay yourself versus allowing these individuals to make money off of your money. I digress.

After hours A.t.m has been deactivated for over a year. Customers Think it's their card that's the problem. The littlest things sometimes create the biggest problems. Simple at least put up a sign by the door so customers can know what's going on. Again the littlest thing's create the biggest problems sometimes.

ATM is only open when the branch is open. I appreciate this because they have a security guard to monitor activity while inside. I’d rather be extra safe these days

The ATM does not work. Had to use Citibank across the street even though I'm a chase customer.

I ask the teller and manager if they could not re-verify by calling my employer. I told them them this is embarrassing to me and pleaded why I would like them to wave the call. They have done this over ten times in the near past and still they need to interrupt my employer just to cash my check of only $1046. Embarrassing. The manager noticed I’ve cashed many checks there before but insisted he went by the book and bothered my employer in front of me and then cashed my check. He then handed me an envelope in which the money amount was not verified or an explanation why it was ten dollars short.
