Customer Service is ALWAYS on point, with courteous and conscious tellers who refer to you by name. Always a pleasant experience.

Useless branch. Zelle doesn't work, random error, and no one at this branch or on phone can explain why; then I am charged $3 for requesting a check to pay for my failed Zelle payment in person. In similar scenarios they used to just give you a free courtesy check (I've needed a total of maybe 4 checks in a decade). After all, it's their service which is failing without reason. This branch is unprofessional. Considering completely dropping Chase after 12 years. 00.00% interest for your money, 0 customer service, and now essentially offers nothing over others.Update! They cancelled my check for "security reasons" gave me 1 day to respond. I wasn't available that day so they took it upon themselves to reverse it. I accrued $70 in fees because of chase doing this! Oh, and the $3 they charged me for the check. Working on pulling out of chase for good.

Carmen made my day today. She is such a professional banker who knows what she is doing. She is very friendly and outgoing. She helped me open up a checking account and credit card during my visit at the bank. She guided me and explained everything thoroughly of what I needed to know. She puts in the extra effort to provide the best customer experience possible. I will definitely recommend my friends and family to her. 10/10 visit.

The staff that works here in Kensington are all friendly and they are very good with helping in anyway that they can. The staff seems to very much appreciate repeat clients as they know you by name and always have a smile on their faces. This is a great community bank!

Slow line at 10 in the morning, not crowded but only 2 clerks at the counter, so expected some delay, but when you yet up there the staffs are friendly and made your day go easier

I have been banking at this Branch for about 3-4 years, no bad experiences. Very receptive and solid customer service. Tellers are professional and engaging.

I give a star because for the most part, the branch staff is friendly and helpful when I'm in the branch and communicating with them face-to-face. However, I'm unimpressed and disappointed particularly in how this branch is managing through the Covid-19 Pandemic from the perspective as both a small business and personal banking customer for 18 years. First, I was told by branch staff that they "ran of of money" and couldn't accept my application for a loan through the Covid-19 CARES act. However, California Bank & Trust who I never had a relationship solicited my business, was able to take my application, open an account, and grant me the loan within days. Further, ths Chase branch has been completely closed to any inside access to branch personnel and for weeks and at various times throughout the day, I have called the branch multiple times and each time receive a message that they are "busy with other customers" and to call back later. There's no opportunity to leave a message for a call back. The fact is that I live nearby and have been taking frequent walks in the neighborhood during shelter-in-place and have looked through the branch windows on such walks and find each time that branch personnel are not with customers nor are they on the phone. There has been need for me to talk with my banker about my business account and this behavior is unacceptable so I will be moving my business to another financial institution such as California Bank & Trust when it is practical to do so under Covid-19 circumstances. Chase has demonstrated that I'm only a number to them whereas California Bank & Trust worked for my business and demonstrated an interest in me and my business personally.

Adrienne, the manager, is great. The reason this isn't a 5 star review is that, 90% of the time when I call the branch, no one answers the phones. This isn't recent: it's been going on for years. I called today to ask a question: no one answers the phone. So, I drive over. The lobby is empty and the two tellers have nothing to do. In general, the tellers are very pleasant, and Samantha is also very helpful.

Teller was beyond unpleasant. She seemed genuinely annoyed that I had questions about using my Chase cards abroad. She told me to go online or call the number on my card for automated service. She was essentially promoting her eventual replacement by the robot overlords. ONE STAR.

Chase is awful. Not the tellers, who simply follow orders, but the managers and executives. Nothing but a skeleton staff in the banks; no response when you phone; and impossible to deal with online where you are compelled to fuss with your username and password no matter how many times you provide it. I have been actively seeking other banking options.

The best part of this branch is that the staff are very friendly. Unfortunately, it's not much of a bank--it's more of an ATM with tellers. The tellers are great and efficient. The line to see a teller is generally short and the tellers are friendly. But the simplest thing beyond cashing a check requires that you see a "banker." Bankers are in short supply. A couple weeks ago I had to change the PIN on a new ATM card...45 minute wait to see a "banker." They offered to make an appointment--although none were available that day. And who would make an appointment to change a PIN for their ATM card?? I tried to open a new account (I have 4 with Chase already and have been a customer for 25 years, but that doesn't provide any priority for banking) and was told one of the bankers would be available shortly. Then the teller who seems to be in charge told me that the banker would not be available based on what a "colleague" told him. It was 45 minutes before closing and I suspect there was some fear that opening account could cause some delay to going home on time. I received calls and FedEx letters from Chase imploring me to come in and refinance my mortgage loans with their "no cost loan" program. I have four mortgages and decided to go in to speak to them since the rates were dropping. I spent an hour with the mortgage banker, who said she would have to do research before she could even give me a rate. She said she'd call me the next day. A week later I hadn't heard from her, so I called. She said there a problem with the Chase "software program" and would get back to me ASAP. The next day she ran a credit report without my authorization and it took another 10 days before she sent me the quotes. The interest rates were significantly higher than I'd been quoted by a broker and, guess what, they all came with "origination fees," i.e., her commission. Total waste of time and an unwanted credit check before I had even made application. So, if you just want to cash a check, make a deposit or some routine transaction (assuming you already have an account), this is a friendly branch to use. If you need to do any "banking" or change your PIN code, go somewhere else, like a credit union.
