Great sandwiches! It was kind of hard to get to with the road closed and parking, but definitely worth the effort. A definite recommend if you're in the area!

Great local spot near the beach. I had the hot corned beef. Good amount of corned beef, and fresh ingredients. I enjoyed their oatmeal cookie too - like a chewy, caramel granola bar.

The owner was very friendly, we ordered a cheese sandwich and it was perfectly toasted. The variety of candy was good too, Lion bars, Mars bars, maltasers. Haven’t seen those candies here in the US in a long time. I will definitely go back.
The Cheese Shop's long history in La Jolla Shores has seen many customers grow from kids into parents. Established in 1972 by John and Dorothy Schutz, the shop began as purveyors of imported cheese and fine foods from all over the world. Over the years, different products have been added, and roasting meats and baking cookies in the shop – Made By US!!! – demonstrates that common food can be done uncommonly well.
