Ok so since the other balboa Chevron was still on break long after the sign indicated they would be opening I skirted over to this Chevron. And would you believe the luck they had a will return clock on their locked door indicating they too would return 20 minutes ago. I knocked on the door and the person allegedly working there said no no no. And barricaded the locked door with a cart saying he was cleaning up. I had been there 5 minutes before and he was hidden in the back somewhere cleaning nothing. The manager of both the Balboa chevrons hopefully will now know that your employees are turning money away at your locked doors, behaving very unprofessionally and pissing off your customers. This pissed off customer spent the money at 7/11 instead. I bet they love your night shift.

I go here simply because it's the closest place to us. Tonight, my husband rounded up change to go buy a black and mild (I know, bad habit, also why he took change for it) and bought one. He opened it and there was a HUGE hole and it was leaking and completely UNsmokeable. He walked straight back in and the person said "oh it's open I can't return it" How exactly would we know it's broken when it's unopened? Like really? come on. This place has terrible TERRIBLE customer service. It's closed at night too even though the hours state "open" 9/10 times the guy has a sign stating he is cleaning and will reopen and keeps changing the time. They also have a broken water machine outside and when you ask for change because it won't take anything else, they act like you are killing their puppy. Wild. Out of the 20ish times I've been I've had negative experiences about 75% of the time. I do not recommend this joke of a gas station for anything except emergency gas.

I see a few complaints related to the car wash and some are more than a year old. I have been to this station and used the car wash two times and both times the car wash blowers didn't work. When you purchase a service it should work as intended and in my opinion when a business doesn't maintain the equipment it reflects badly on the company. I know I won't be using this car wash again and probably won't be buying gas either.

If you like to pay higher than typical prices for your gas, if you hate slushies and alcoholic beverages, if you don't like popular snacks most other places would offer, if you don't believe in washing your car, and if you love having minimum wage employees be disrespectful to you for no reason whatsoever, this is the place to go. However, if you are not a masochist or insane or at the very least have an ounce of self-respect, than I suggest you spend an extra 3¢ in gas and go to the 7-Eleven up the block, if not the Circle K down the street cause this Chevron station and the ExtraMile convenience store are garbage. This place is open 24/7, yet the night employees are always hiding in the office sleeping their shift away, while the sign on the door says they'll be back in 10. The place has no booze, no slushy machine, broken down nacho machine, a lot of popular snacks and beverages are not sold there. This HighMile/Chevron is the worst. The restroom is fairly clean, but they got the most porous toilet on the planet. I don't care what your diet is, you are gonna leave skid marks in that bowl. So if you don't want to be embarrassed when the next person walks in, better use their toilet brush. Also 90% of the employees there don't believe in "please", or "thank you", one of the employees there doesn't believe in refunds. I bought an energy drink so I can use the restroom and didn't know the restroom was out of service, and so I asked for a refund and the employee told me "I don't do refunds", I told her "Why not?" and she told me "I just don't". I was like, okay "C U Next Tuesday" and then she told me "You better watch it, my boyfriend will F U up". I was like, "What's his phone number, I'll call him right now and after I win you quit", and then she was like "Get the F out of my store before I call the cops". Anyways, I will get my refund, there's a little organization called the BBB, and I sure as hell am not talking about the Better Breakfast Bureau.

I went through their carwash. I usually go to Tierrasanta, but my car was dirty and I needed gas. I havr never have any problem at a drive through carwash. Part of my trim is torn off after the carwash! I don't have a large car. It bent a piece of metal trim way out! I was in shock when I got home! It's on the driver's side and I have been in and out of the car all day. I called and the phone is disconnected!!!
