Staff was super friendly and attentive even when busy. I spent about an hour smelling different perfume scents! A handful I really liked & I believe her name was Sarah... sent me home with a nice goodie bag of fragrances I was intrigued by to figure out which I liked before buying a full bottle. She was the sweetest & so friendly, definitely made my shopping experience better! The establishment was very clean & nicely set up. Would definitely recommend this place.

Yeah, there are a lot of choices out there when it comes to cosmetics. I have really, really sensitive skin so I need products with higher quality ingredients. If you are like me, this is the place to look. They have harder to find brands like Sisley Paris. There is only so much you can do/learn online. The store had most of what is on their website in store to at least try (perfume I could smell but didn't have it in stock). I could swatch items, etc. The employees were super helpful. The level service met with the price of the items. They provided me a generous amount of samples. I can't stress enough how nice it is to experience items in person. Items that I thought I'd like after seeing them online, weren't what I thought but... I found some unexpected lovely treasures that I would have never found on my own because of the help of the sales staff. If you are going to spend that kind of money, you need to love what you purchase. Two thumbs up.It's not the store's fault but coming out this way, try not to go during peak times. Parking around here isn't easy even during midweek/mid-day. The streets around La Jolla are pretty chewed up. I really hope that they fix it because this isn't in an area that I go to regularly, and in its current condition, I am reluctant to drive back to.

the ladies were very rude and unwelcoming to me they started doing makeup on my friend but ignored me and didn’t offer me any help but the moment I picked up a palette they snatched it out of my hand like I was a peasant and pointed to the tester. I walked out after that. Not like I don’t have most of that brands products already at home lol

I'm still waiting to see how long it takes for my lipstick to arrive. They didn't have it in stock. Plus I got put on a email flyer, but even after inquiring by my friend, he didn't get the same offer. Also I'm wondering why they have such a strick return policy. You can't open it and try it. To return it, it must still be unopened, unused and resale able. So with the price you pay you think you'd be able to try the product.

I am in town for a wedding and Sarah was a lifesaver!! She was so kind and patient with me as someone who is just starting to try their hand at makeup. I purchased a few things after getting my foundation and concealer matched, with tips on how to apply a whole face of makeup. I am so much more confident with makeup after my experience and I can’t recommend this store and staff enough. Thank you!!

OMG!!! I had the best visit here! I met Steffanie today and she is amazing, so knowledgeable and easy to talk to! I will never go anywhere else from now on. She was also very patient with me even though I could tell she was busy! It's so rare to find such amazing customer service these days, so refreshing!

Today me and my friend came in looking for a specific skincare product. A woman working there made me feel very unwelcome, she told me that they didn’t carry the product I was looking for but didn’t offer any alternatives. She immediately told me I should google it and it was clear she just wanted me to leave. She made me and my friend feel awkward for asking and wanting to shop there. She said she had never even heard of that brand, to which I explained that is a very popular French brand. She then laughed at my comment and said “then we definitely don’t carry it.” Which to me was confusing because they sell La Mer and other French brands there. Save your time, go somewhere else, they don’t deserve your business.

Certainly won’t be back after today’s experience. When I asked what colors of blush & lipstick they would recommend I was told to “use my own judgement and pick what I think looks good”. What? Unbelievable. If you do that to a customer in Nordstrom, you get fired. They reacted like I was imposing on them. The woman who finally showed me a corrector (after acting like she’s doing me a favor) was so full of herself it was pathetic. Sorry dear, but Im not gum on the bottom of your tacky shoes! I’ve never experienced anything so bizarre when asking for assistance @ COS before. Both associates were working on dusting, cleaning and anything but paying attention to the needs of the customer. When she finally began to put makeup on me, (after making my request feel like “like pulling teeth”) she said she had to go and take a phone call which took a long time. By that time I decided it’s time to leave and never return. Oh, I did get 2 samples to try @ home as this woman’s attitude was so “snotty” I couldn’t stand being in the store anymore. To the owner: Please get some different people in there who care about customers. If you want your business to do well at this location I advise you to hire new help. I will pass this disappointing experience onto my friends and neighbors here in La Jolla Village.

This is my favorite beauty store to shop at! Every time I come in I have the best shopping experience! They know so much about all of the products and give me their unbiased and honest recommendations. I feel like they have the best selection of products because they only carry the best! They are always friendly and helpful and value my time. I love how they don't rush me or pressure me but just help get the best products for my needs and goals.
