This location gives the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. The black gentlemen in the pharmacy had the nerve to say in a snarky manner “ what would you even want me to say to them?” When I asked if he could call the CVS pharmacy on park who had sent my prescription to them at the Hillcrest pharmacy on Washington. They were completely unhelpful and rude when it was their system that sent my prescription back to CVS specialty. I will get my prescriptions from Walgreens from now on. On top of that this location is filthy and disgusting.

Sheesh, this place is a dump. Getting into the store is an adventure unto itself. They’ve allowed the homeless to turn the only entrance into a gathering spot, so you’re bombarded with begging and rude comments and often yelling. The entire parking lot and entryway smells like a porta-potty and is littered with food and trash and urine. When you leave, people outside actually ASK YOU what “pills” you got and if they can have some! 😳 They absolutely need a full-time security guard at the door.
Once you make it inside, it’s like stepping into 1998. I don’t think anything has been updated or even cleaned since then. The pharmacy is always straight-up CHAOS! Every time. A long, nerve-wracking line of angry customers that have all been waiting at least a half hour, and a counter full of employees that would rather be anywhere else than at work helping them. The most unhappy and unhelpful group of pharmacy technicians I’ve ever encountered. There is never NOT a problem with your prescription. (“Don’t have it. Never got it. Not ready. Problem with the computer. Call your doctor. Come back later. Go to the back of the line.”) I moved my prescriptions away from CVS long ago specifically because of this store, but I often pick up meds for my elderly neighbor, so I still have to suffer through the experience of shopping here.
I’m shocked that a regional or district manager allows this place to continue like this, but they probably do a great deal of business because there aren’t many other options in Hillcrest, so I suppose the numbers looks good enough to corporate that they assume it’s a successful store, rather than merely a tolerated necessity.
Stay away. Go literally ANYWHERE else! Read the other reviews… there’s a reason they are almost all negative.

Iv never gone in there and not had there be any issues. Staff is always new, on their phones, sending texts, taking their time, when there’s a 20-30 minute wait (and that wait, is like clockwork-always a long wait). Never in any rush whatsoever. And unapologetic about it. One of the slowest CVS’s iv ever been too

Pleasant new store. My $5 eye drops cost $30 because I miss placed my parking slip and the third world “helper” voices could only open the gate with $25 charge. Pretty pissed.

STAY FAR AWAY from this incompetent pharmacy! They LOST my father in law’s insurance card AND ID while getting his prescription. How does one even let that happen?? All you do is check the info on the computer to match the ID then give it back. Where else would you take it that you would lose it? Listen to all the reviews. This shore needs to be evaluated asap

Updating my prior review. Phone tree now easily connects to pharmacy staff and the staff has gotten really good. Addresses my slightly complex situation with no issue or delay. Now if the city can control the homeless situation that this pharmacy is unfortunately stuck with, it will be 5 stars.

They should just close this location. The employees look unhappy except for one. Homeless hang out around the building. I personally have witnessed a homeless guy walk in only to run out with stolen merchandise. I was told I couldn't use two coupons on one visit, and I couldn't use this coupon because the candy was on sale. Walked out with nothing. Jumped in my car, drove to the North Park location, and was able to use my coupons with that employee with no problem.
