I used this service for my taxes, and his service is competitively priced. Everyone I spoke with was very friendly and easy to work with. Additionally, he takes information security seriously and I felt very comfortable sharing my sensitive information with him, trusting that it would be appropriately stored in a secure manner.

David York is a THEIF!!! He took advantage of my 91 y/o father got him to sign over his Estate his POA and POAH to him and than David had a Doctor deem my dad incompetent. He than removed him from his home and placed him in a Memory Care facility. DON'T LET DAVID YORK NEAR YOU OR A LOVED ONE!!! If this review saves just 1victim praise God

I appointed David York Tax Services to set up an LLC for me. I explained my desire to find a local CPA who could work with me long term and assist me with end-to-end set up of my new business. My initial 'discovery' call with David himself went well. However, after that initial touchpoint, I no longer had access to him and was dealing with one of his staff. She was less than inefficient, firstly setting the LLC incorrectly and then having ridiculously long time response times. (She took 6 weeks to respond to one of my emails!). I was left with an LLC in limbo, half set up and a far cry from the end-to end service I was sold and needed. The worst spent $1500 ever. If you require professional, timely and efficient advise on running your business, I'd urge you to look elsewhere.

I had several questions about forming an Scorp. David answered all my questions with good explanations. His staff who answered the phone, she was also really nice and I felt comfortable talking to them. If I form an Scorp I will hire them to help me with it.

Worked there a few years ago. Many returns were prepared with numerous errors and subject to IRS and FTB audit. Corp returns prepared without sufficient officer compensation subject to fines and penalties.

My husband and I have been going to David for about 6-8 years at least he's always nice and helpful . He answers my 1000 of questions about taxes during the pandemic and helped file my amendment. He and his staff are great and very knowledgeable.

Hands down best accountant I’ve had. He helped me switch from an LLC to an S Corp for my taxes. At t he end of the day it’s saved me thousands. I also decided to get another S Corp with David for another business in San Diego.

This firm gave me incorrect info has to how much money I owed. I overpaid $4k in taxes. He Refuses to help me fix the problem and get my $4k in overpayment that I was advised to pay. Also would call me at late hours (7pm) to finalize taxes.

This is a tough time and from all the feedback I have heard this tax organization is A-OK... Plus, they understand Proposition 58 & 193, and Proposition 13, plus how to take full advantage of these measures, this is critical. The rising Covid-19 infection rate in California puts everyone in a vulnerable position. The most critical thing is to stop this Proposition 15 property tax, full stop!! And these critics of property tax relief in California don't seem to care that Californians are already struggling with high unemployment caused by the Coronavirus crisis, plus some of the highest gas, income, and sales tax in America. They just don't care. In fact, the California Legislature just passed policies that are having residents paying 48% more for electricity than the rest of the country. And adding a brand new absurd property tax on top of these existing costs will only push California residents further and further under water! With California running surprisingly high Coronavirus infection rates for a blue state, as well as really high unemployment numbers... these politicos would be smart not to pile on more expenses, adding the Proposition 15 property tax to the pile. Even if it is supposedly only affecting commercial property owners, and landlords... this reaches out with tentacles and pulls all Californians into the mix at the end of the day. If you research California state government property tax information, for example at the California State Board of Equalization Website, at or talk to Californians directly, or look at blog sites such as or Prop 13 & Prop 58 info-sites like you see very quickly that the great fear is - if these critics of Prop 13 tax relief are allowed to open the door to unraveling tax relief for commercial and industrial property owners... what is to stop them from going after home owners' ability to take advantage of property tax transfer benefits, or the transfer of parents property taxes upon inheriting property taxes in general. The middle class anxiety disturbing everyone that isn't rich in this state comes from being terrified that critics of 1978 Proposition 13, now pushing Proposition 15 (formerly "Split-Roll tax"), will soon feel free to go after the legal right for Californian beneficiaries and property owners to avoid property tax reassessment, as well as going after our right to benefit from parent to child transfer and parent to child exclusion, as the lawyers call it. These are all extremely valid, profound concerns. I hope we're all on board together with this push-back effort!!
