Dick's Liquor is a long-standing institution in La Jolla, operating since 1950. It is widely regarded as La Jolla’s and San Diego's best liquor store, noted for its amazing and huge selection. The store carries an enormous variety, including over 800 kinds of whisky, 300 tequilas, and 2500 domestic and imported wines with very great prices on Chardonnays and champagnes. It also features a great beer selection, unique spirits, local beers, a good Prosecco selection, and a huge selection of vapes. The store is packed tight with great, well-curated spirits and offers fair, solid prices without gouging. The staff and employees are consistently described as very friendly, polite, and helpful, forming an awesome crew. The physical store is highly recommended for its high-end wine and spirits and super highend cognacs.

This store is packed tight with great spirits, and I mean tight. Their web presence is not great, so this review is for the physical store only. Given their space constraints, they have made some good choices, and their shelves are well curated for the most part. The staff that I met were also very polite.
