If you are a huge fan of French cuisine, like I am and want to dine at home, then Eurofood Depot Gourmet Market is for you! Located in the business area of Miramar or Mira Mesa, this tiny little market sponsored by the French society of San Diego carries authentic, shipped from France merchandise at somewhat reasonable prices. I have been shopping here for several years, and I am always happy with the quality of their products; the freshness, taste, appearance, and the extremely friendly and helpful staff that are more than willing to assist you. Once you enter this tiny establishment, you will be hooked as I was many years ago. Inside you will find an assortment of meats, cheeses, French butter, jams, preserves, cookies, duck rigglets, various pates, sauces, pastries, dry goods, candies, frozen foods (i.e, duck confit, sausages, escargot, veggies, etc.), oils, pastas, canned seafoods (tuna, sardines, cuttlefish...), and numerous seasonal items. Have a look at my photos and you will see how rewarding a visit could be. Highly recommended.

I've been wanting to browse Eurofood Depot for the longest time and finally went so I could put together a charcuterie box for my dad's birthday. For a small place tucked in an expanse of Miramar business parks, I was surprised by how much they carried--snacks, cheese, cereal, condiments, pickles, drinks, wine, cured meats, frozen foods...even soaps, laundry detergents, and other sundries. The owner was very sweet and willing to show me around the store and help translate any unfamiliar terms I saw on the labels. I ended up leaving with a black olive tapenade, mini brioche toasts, truffle salami, a tube of chestnut paste, and for fun, fraise tagada (a well-known strawberry candy made by Haribo that is well-loved by French folks). Everything was fairly priced, and the truffle salami was especially a big hit. I was also happy to see that they had beurre d'isigny, which I have always wanted to purchase (I have heard amazing things about this French butter with coarse sea salt). I'm excited to come back to get some butter, mustard, and cornichons!

This little market was wonderful. First time there and I believe she was the owner gave us a tour and explained everything in the store. We took home some wonderful French cheeses and pâtes. We will definitely return.

Small business hidden away from an industrial park with many Europeans delicacie to choose from. The owner recommended few items to try. I ended up buying way to much but I only seen the items in France but havn't seen in the US. I'll go back when I am in the area.

I was on the hunt for my favorite Lavender Lattè syrup and I found it here. I was so intrigued by everything in the store, I didn't take any pictures there. I did however come home with the most amazing Flammekueche Tarte Flambee, I have ever had. So good,I ate before I could take a picture, sorry. The service was also impeccable! If your looking for your tastebuds to be transported take a trip to the 805 freeway to this gem of a store. You will not regret the goodies you come home with.

Out of happenstance, I came here thinking it was one type of market, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out it was a small European market offering specialty delectables and desserts. The guy running the floor was very charismatic and friendly--definitely the type of person who makes you feel welcomed and familiar--and the sweets I bought are just delicious! It's a little pricier, but the quality and service is well worth it.

A great little place to find French goods! I came here looking for Merguez as it is not very easy to find and ended up leaving with it and several other items.

For those who appreciate authentic French food and ingredients, including items for the home, this is the best place to go in the San Diego area! I just left with a bag full of hard-to-fine goodies. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the selection and service. The gentleman who helped me was very kind.
