Excellent place. Greg and Rosita are amazing, and remember your face and preferences if you come in more than twice. Greg makes an AMAZING Smoke Old Fashioned, and Rosita makes a BOMB Cafecito. All of the staff is great at checking in on your needs, and good at leaving you alone if you want to chill in peace. The humidor, like most in California, has to accommodate the new flavored tobacco ban, and as such have to upcharge a little more to be compliant for the few flavoreds they do have. They have a great selection, at decent "lounge" prices, but don't plan on stocking up here. The drinks and cigars are upcharged, yes. It's a business, and they have to make money. The drinks are priced based on what alcohol gets used: more pricey alcohol, pricier drink. They've got a HUGE stock of different alcohols, primarily whiskey and scotch, but several nice rums and tequilas as well. The ambiance is of a nice vintage lounge, low lights, leather chairs, and exposed brick, but still very welcoming for female smokers, which is missing at a lot of other places. Music is generally pretty low too, so you can actually manage to talk to each other, although it gets lube inside of there's a big game on. Seating is assigned by staff, because it's popular and small, and you may be told to rearrange to accommodate larger parties. It's recommended to call ahead for parties of 4 or more. Not to worry, there's are TVs visible from every seat, and the staff is happy to change the channel for you if you want something specific. Lounge rules say please don't rearrange furniture, the staff is happy to do it for you, and please don't put your cigar wrapper in the ashtray (nobody wants to smell burning plastic). The outdoor patio has suffered a bit during the recent storms, but they're actively working on it. The heaters are back up and running, and so are a few of the TVs, and the chairs are comfy as ever. It's decently sheltered from the wind, and from random looky-loos. The only "downsides" are that there's only 1 bathroom and parking can be a bit packed. Thankfully, you can keep an eye on it from most of the indoor lounge, so you don't have to stand around awkwardly waiting for it. Parking tends to open up after 7pm, but before that you have to compete with nearby restaurants, like most of Clairmont Mesa. Inside the bathroom is some complimentary mouthwash if you'd like to freshen up before you leave. As for the reviews whining about not being served at 11 when they close at 12... well, duh. Everyone who has smoked a cigar knows that it takes an hour or more to do if it's any decent size, and the staff has lives too. Be considerate of them and they will treat you like friends, act entitled and you'll get it right back.

Excalibur cigar lounge was a nightmare. The atmosphere was stale, suffocating, the staff disinterested, and the selection of cigars horrible. To top it off, the old lady with black hair was shockingly rude. Excalibur cigar lounge should seriously reconsider their hiring practices if they want to retain any semblance of customer satisfaction. Avoid this place at all costs.

We have been coming here off and on over the years. We came back to town to visit and place closes at 12am on Fri night. It was only 11 pm and there were still 12 people still smoking and drinking. The staff said we had to leave since it wasn't "busy". What type of cigar lounge kicks out patrons while still enjoying a stick and drink. Not bringing my business back here again.

Family introduced us to this place a cigar and cocktail. Definitely did not disappoint. Greg is great at making the old fashioned and picking the right wood to smoke the cocktail based your bourbon or whisky. Environment is chill and the cigar recommendations were all right on point. If your looking for a chill cigar and cocktail lounge this is the place to go. Whether you sit indoors or outdoors it's comfy and relaxed with excellent drinks. Plus plus for military discount too.

This is a great place to smoke cigars with a great selection in the humidor and everything to satisfy your scotch and bourbon needs under one roof. It is a challenge to listen to jazz and the blues whilst rooting on your team. There is a reason for cigar aficionado said it was a must visit. I would make this a side quest for anyone who needs there cigar escape in am inviting atmosphere.
