I just returned the car , deals are very lucrative here but the condition of the car for a family is not upto the mark, very old model, quite dirty inside, u can smell smoke from all the seats , no GPS , engine condition is pathetic, and return policies rigid, even if you return them earlier , plz dont expect any good will gesture.. so overall except price its has nothing.. good for students or ones who need dirt cheap price but quality of the cars - worst of all .. I dont recommend them to my network ever...

The car was fine, but we had to bring it in to get an oil change and check the tire pressure like 2 weeks after renting. The people there didn't seem to care about being at work. They literally forgot to give us our rental agreement. TWICE. And adding a second driver was SOO expensive. Like 160 dollars a month.

Found this car rental had great service ,friendly good staff.They will rent with a foriegn drivers licenseAnd a debit card for payment when the big companies will not.Very good all in prices too.

I would never again recommend this business to friends or relatives. I had read the reviews and decided to take a chance. I wanted to try this place to support a small business & cheaper rates. Also, to avoid standing in long lines at the airport rental center. I now realize why this business has cheap rates because their business is unprofessional and they don't care about their customers. I booked one month in advance & called three days before to confirm date & time. I took a Lyft from the airport to their business which I found their place was closed. They had a sign on the window "went to the airport back in 10 minutes". I figured no problem because it was 10:45AM and I was set to pick-up@11. I decided to wait outside standing in the hot weather of San Diego. There was another customer also waiting and said he had been waiting since 9:43AM. I called the office numerous times and no answer, so I waited until noon. I had a Lyft take me back to the airport to rent a car from Enterprise (got a Costco member discount). I get a call from the owner at 12:15 as I am getting a rental at Enterprise telling me my car was ready and she was waiting for me to pick it up. I forgot to mention, the car waiting for me in their driveway had a big dent on the driver side and it was very dirty. I could not believe they would let me drive off in that car! Anyhow, I told her I waited for more than one hour and I had called their office with no call back. I said that was "unprofessional". Well, I guess the owner did not like I said that because she went off on me. She said she had an emergency and had to leave. She said she had a car stolen, so she had no choice but leave. She said "what do you want me to do?". I told her she had my number and could have called to say there would be a delay or cancel me. Also, I told her the sign on the window was misleading, gone 10 minutes Vs. more than one hour is just wrong!!! I told her because of this it got me behind schedule and I paid for 2 Lyft rides. I could have made other arrangements instead of waiting around. My time is just as important. She did not seem to care nor ever apologized. She just said "do you want the car or not"! She went on to say "why am I wasting my time arguing with you?". I said I agree and I ended the call. It makes me wonder how they take advantage of college students not knowing any better that customer service is just as important as cheap rental rates. Also, why are they renting dirty and damaged cars. I think the owner could have handled it in a professional manner. Sorry they had a car stolen, but that is the business you are in. I don't like to say negative comments because it is too much energy, but this was one I could not forgive myself to ignore. There was no waiting at Enterprise and it was quick. They were professional and friendly which I find important. Yes, it cost more but it was worth it after that bad experience. Never again!!!!

I live in San Diego and needed an economical car to get to and from work, uber and lift was too costly. Since I have my own insurance, the cost was ONLY $484.00 for 28 days with a 2,800 mileage limit, which I did not exceed. Randa was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. The car was a little older but ran perfectly the entire time I had it. ALL LOCAL San Diegens, if you ever need a reliable car to get to and from work, Express is the only way to drive.

I used the services of this company by renting a car during my trip to this city and was highly impressed by the customer service that was provided by the staff. The pickup arrangement was on time from the airport and on my returning back the car after my rental period they even had the courtesy to drop me back at the airport.I would definitely use their services again and would highly recommend this business.

Reasonable prices and decent customer service at first, but there is a catch. I just got out of an accident and was looking for a car rental for a month for basic needs. I found these guys on google and was hoping to get a car that is regularly inspected. Long story short, the first car I had to return because on the second day, the engine lit on and I did not feel comfortable driving it the rest of the month and I asked the rep to replace it. Luckily or unluckily, they operated on weekends, and I was able to speak with them and kindly ask them to give me a reliable car as I needed to pick up/drop off my mother for medical treatment hence safety was extremely important. He said that the car had some electronic issues, which triggered the indicator to turn on, adding if I don't understand anything about cars does not mean the car isn't reliable. While we were talking, another guy came up and brought me the car of 90s and said this car would be better than the previous and last one in his inventory. When I got off the freeway, suddenly, the car hood lifted up and covered the whole front window! Thankfully a few cars were driving on my way, and the exit was near where I stopped to entirely shut the hood and return the car to the office. I was firm about returning the car and getting refunded as I had gone through accidents and wasn't willing to repeat the path. When I brought back the car and said that it was a violation to provide such cars to put at risk customers' safety. He remained calm and did not comment on my complaints like it did not matter. I was supposed to rent for a month but physically drove only four days. He refunded me $360 out of $650, stating that the charge was calculated on a daily basis and the full refund was not applicable to this term. Up to you if you want to try them out, but you were warned.

Customer service is the ABSOLUTE BEST around. Skip the airport rentals and come here immediately. They're kind, fast, informative, and so helpful! We were so thankful they were kind enough to drive us to the airport after we returned our car too. Really outstanding service here. The car was incredible too! Very clean, up to date, and no issues at all. Thank you Express San Diego!

I recently rented a car from these guys, and I couldn't have been happier with my experience. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make sure I had the best possible rental experience. The car itself was in excellent condition and very clean, and it ran smoothly throughout my entire rental period.One thing that really impressed me about them was their attention to detail. They took the time to explain all the features of the car to me and made sure I felt comfortable and confident before I drove away. Additionally, the pickup and drop-off process was quick and efficient, which was very much appreciated.Overall, I would highly recommend Express to anyone looking for a reliable and customer-focused car rental company. Their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction really sets them apart from the competition, and I would not hesitate to rent from them again in the future.
